John stopped and looked at the only member of the four he didn’t recognise before saying, while thinking, {Fuck, they're practically the same size as Mel’s.}
After which he politely said, “Sorry, miss, but I’m afraid we haven't been introduced. But regardless, you four came to enjoy each other's company, and I have no intention of forcing my way into your group.”
“Bullshit,” Carlos's friend suddenly cursed, causing everyone to look at him with varying reactions.
While his three friends shot him panicked expressions, the four women showed looks of displeasure, and the restaurant staff showed looks of anger at someone using such language before their princess.
“You're telling me you don’t recognise the most famous diva in the world, Melissa Delacruz? I call bullshit,” The man repeated, causing the other women to hiss. “Shut up, Antonio, you're going to get yourself killed at this rate.”
“Don’t tell me you're buying into this, Jess,” Antonio replied.
Adria frowned before saying, “I’m starting to question your choice in friendship, Jessica Marks. It certainly doesn’t suit a daughter of the Marks family.”
Jessica flushed slightly while lowering her head before John turned and glanced at her. She had long golden-blonde hair and strikingly beautiful orange eyes. {So that’s the one Maria told me to keep an eye out for. Shame, she’s attractive, and those eyes are really beautiful, but I have no interest in spoilt brats, especially ones who keep such questionable company.}
Melissa Delacruz, meanwhile, was shooting daggers at Antonio for revealing her identity to John; she had been hoping to keep it secret for at least a little while longer before it inevitably caused his attitude towards her to change. {Well, it was nice while it lasted, but I never bought into Sarah’s whole claim that he has no idea who I am and isn’t a fan.}
John turned back to Melissa Delacruz before respectfully saying, “Miss Delacruz, was it? It was nice to meet you, and I hope you enjoy your meal.”
“Oh, err, yes, thank you,” She replied in surprise while Sarah giggled behind her, wearing an I-told-you-so expression.
“Princess, Sarah, Adria,” John said in turn before turning to depart again, only for Sarah to stop him this time. “You know we really don’t mind if you join us.”
John smiled at her before shaking his head and saying, “Another time perhaps; you all had already planned to have this get-together long before I arrived, and I don’t like the idea that I am intruding. Besides…” At this point, he glanced towards the Jessica Marks group before adding. “I have no interest in dinning it the same places as the likes of them.”
And as soon as he finished speaking, John turned on his heel and left while the two female kitsune bowed to him by the entrance again, and he said, “Thank you.”
Everyone watched him depart, and only after she could no longer see him did Princess Shizu turn to Taro and order, “Explain.”
“Of course, Princess,” Taro quickly replied before explaining everything that had transpired with John before her arrival.
Shizu sighed upon hearing the explanation before indicating the four youths and saying in human, “These four are not to be served, understood?”
“Understood, Princess,” Taro said with a bow while the faces of Jessica Mark's group turned from surprise to embarrassment and shame.
“To think you would go so far as to insult someone merely because they did not know they needed to make a reservation,” Sarah said in outrage. “I am appalled to believe we are even from the same race.”

“Agreed,” Melissa nodded. “I will be sure to learn each of your identities and blacklist you from any of my future performances.”
“I believe the four of you should leave before you make things worse for yourselves,” Adria stated, and although she didn’t specifically phrase it as an order, everyone knew that it was one.
“Of course, Princess, please excuse us,” Stephenie Sauders replied before she quickly led the other three away.
“Such a shame,” Melissa said with a sigh. “I would have liked to dine with John.”
“Well, at least you now know for certain that he doesn’t care about your identity,” Sarah teased.
“That was indeed quite surprising,” Shizu said, nodding. “I’m surprised there's any man who could be so calm when talking to you; even in the kitsune empire, you are swamped in seas of your fans every time you visit.”
“It’s a tough life being this popular,” Melissa boasted while throwing out her ample chest even more, causing Sarah to say. “Put those away; I’m shocked he didn’t recognise you by those things alone.”
“Maybe he doesn’t like them large,” Adria chuckled, causing Melissa's eyes to widen and ask. “Do you think that’s true?”
“Oh, please,” Sarah replied while rolling her eyes. “I’ve seen how he looks at them; it’s the same look he gives my thighs and Adria’s ass.”
“I must admit that for once I don’t mind a man staring at my posterior in such a way,” Adria stated.
“And me?” Shizu asked curiously, only for Sarah to ask. “Do you really want to discuss that when so many of your people are paying attention to us?”
“Oh, right,” Shizu said in realisation before turning back to Taro and adopting her princess attitude while saying, “Take us to our table.”

“Alea, what did you need to speak with me about?” Queen Tanelia asked as her daughter entered her study and sat opposite her.
After comfortably seating herself and arranging her dress, Alea looked at her mother before saying with all seriousness, “Mother, there is a human we should take note of.”
“Oh!” Tanelia said in surprise, while her assistant and personal maid, Saida. who stood behind her, slightly raised an eyebrow. “It’s rare for someone to catch your eye, let alone someone to make you so serious. Who is this human?”
“John Michaels,” Alea replied, causing both women's surprised looks to increase even more as Tanelia teasingly asked. “A man, no less. Tell me, dear daughter, will I perhaps have a grandchild in the future?”
“Mother,” Alea sighed before continuing. “I’m being serious here.”
“Ok, ok,” Tanelia said with a chuckle before thinking for a moment and asking. “Isn’t John Michaels the name of the human who was involved with their racial punishment announcement?”
“That’s correct,” Alea said, nodding. “Also, I believe that he’s the one who just unlocked the new unique class.”
“Really!” Tanelia replied. “What makes you think that?”
“I’m ashamed to say it’s more of a gut feeling after what just happened,” Alea said with a sigh before she began to tell her mother and Saida everything that happened during her most recent quest, where they discovered Francis.
“A human necromancer was draining the blood of a female elf in order to attempt to summon pestilence?” Tanelia asked in anger while Saida showed a look of horror.
“According to the world boss goddess Elrinia, yes,” Alea nodded. “If it hadn’t been for John Michael's help, Thamethalas might soon have been facing a catastrophe.”
“That’s a bit extreme, don’t you think, Alea?” Saida remarked. “Wouldn’t your friend Melissa have been able to do most of what John Michaels did since she is now a druid and could speak with Lord Ratatoskr?”
“You're correct in the part related to Lord Ratatoskr, but what about the rest?” Alea asked. “We would never have found the hidden staircase so quickly without him, and who's to say that Elrinia would have assisted us in the same way if John had been with us? After all, she only became curious about him after he saw her in his vision.”
“I see your point,” Saida said, nodding, while Tanelia said. “It seems we owe this John Michaels a great debt for saving Thamethalas from a threat none of us knew about.”
“It certainly raises concerns that this Francis even managed to attempt such a fiendish plan without our knowledge,” Saida remarked before adding. “I suspect he had inside help.”
“I agree, but the question is who?” Tanelia replied before asking Alea. “So what makes you think it was John Michaels who unlocked the new unique class?”
“Two things: the world announcement itself and Melissa’s reaction to it,” Alea explained. “As we know, when someone achieves something worthy of a world announcement, Tia gives them the right to hide their identity, but she doesn’t hide it entirely and leaves a clue to the player's identity, namely the number of characters in their Genesis ID. The number of characters in the recent world announcement regarding the new unique class was eight, the same number as in John Michaels' player ID, Vincarna.”
“He chose the ID Vincarna?” Tanelia asked in surprise before motioning for Alea to continue. “Then there was Melissa’s reaction; she mumbled something about how he had done it, and when questioned, all she had time to say before we were all logged out was that he had unlocked the Sheolarbiter class.”
“Sheolarbiter class?” Saida repeated in confusion. “What sort of class is that? I’ve never heard of it.”
