“I have no idea,” Alea replied. “Though, considering Elrinia’s reaction to John holding an item called the Sheolarbiter badge, and the fact that she dragged him and Shizu back to the underworld, it’s likely that it’s a class connected with the underworld and spurred the release of the new content patch.”
“Interesting, I can see why you're so keen for us to pay attention to this young man,” Tanelia replied before asking. “Do you think he knows more about what this patch could entail?”
“That I can't say,” Alea replied before adding. “But that's not the only reason I think we should pay attention to him, but his possible magical potential.”
Tanelia's eyes widened in surprise as she asked, "Excuse me?”
“It was something g Elrinia remarked on; apparently the magical power she sensed from him rivalled that of my own,” Alea explained, to which Saida said. “Impossible, there has never been a human whose magic could rival an elf's, let alone a member of the Royal family.”
“Just because it hasn't happened doesn't mean it can't,” Tanelia replied in a thoughtful tone before using her access band to make a call, after which an annoyed voice asked, “What do you want, you old hag?”
“Who are you calling old, you quack doctor?” Tanelia snapped back while Alea and Saida sighed.
“You, of course, you are like the oldest living being on the planet,” The voice retorted, causing Tanelia to roll her eyes and say. Oh, please, I'm like minutes older than you, if that.”
“That makes you the OLDEST idiot,” The voice retorted, and as Tanelia was about to retort, Alea coughed and said. “Mother, Aunt, enough, please.”
“Oh, Alea, you're with that old hag?” The voice asked in a much more jovial tone.
“I am, Aunt Thasinia,” Alea replied. “Could you please advise us on a slight situation I've come across?”
“Well, since it's you who's asking and not the old hag,” Thasinia replied before asking. “How can I help my favourite niece?”
“She's your only niece, you crackpot doctor,” Tanelia retorted.
“And whose fault is that? Thasinia shot back. “Maybe if you weren't so old you'd have been able to give her some siblings and me some more nieces and nephews.”
“And what about my nieces and nephews? I don't see them running around anywhere.”
“Bah, I have no time for relationships,” Thasinia scoffed. “ So how can I help you, Alea?”
“I encountered a human who may have magic comparable to my own,” Alea explained, causing Thasinia to ask with interest. “May have? You mean you're not sure?”
“It was something brought to my attention by the Genesis world boss Elrinia,” Alea explained.
“I see,” Thasinia replied before asking. “And this human's name?”
“John Michaels,” Alea answered, to which Thasinia asked. “The one from the human racial punishment announcement, right? Hmm, I'm sure I've heard his name somewhere else recently as well.”
“You have?” Tanelia asked with interest.
The three of them heard the sound of Thasinia snapping her fingers before saying, “Now I remember, he's the one Rebecca gave the MK Zero to.”

{Well, that could have gone better.} John complained internally before adding with a small smirk. {Still, it wasn’t all bad; they all looked really great in the dresses they were wearing. Any one of them would turn heads upon entering a room, and yet all four of them together are a dangerous combination for any man… or woman.}
John was lost in thought, remembering how beautiful the four women looked, when his nose suddenly picked up the smell of egg fried rice, causing his head to turn in the direction of a nearby street-side stall.
The stall was situated along the riverside and had seating in front of it. Judging by how many customers they had, John figured it must be popular and so headed towards it.
“Welcome, sit anywhere you like,” An attractive young kitsune woman with two tails and an ass that could rival Adria's said as she noticed his approach while delivering food to a table.
John sat down and took a quick look at the stall to see that a mature kitsune woman was busy cooking while a male human was busy doing prep work and making drinks.
It seemed to be a family-run business, and it didn't take long for the young woman to approach and ask, “What can I get you?”
“What do you recommend?" John asked as he glanced at the menu on the side of the food stall.
The woman looked up and was about to reply when her words got stuck in her throat at seeing the good-looking new customer for the first time, causing her to think, {How is he so handsome?}
After not getting a response, John turned back to the woman only to find her staring at him; however, she quickly flushed and coughed in embarrassment at being caught before saying, “My mum makes a mean takoyaki and yakisoba.”
“Sounds good, I'll have both of those and some water, please,” John replied, catching the woman by surprise with his perfect Kit.
{What the hell? Why does his Kit sound better than my own?} The young woman thought, nodding and saying, “Coming right up.” After which, she moved towards another customer while calling towards the food stall. “One takoyaki and one yakisoba.”
John sat there and enjoyed the cool breeze coming off the river while waiting for his food, before a nearby conversation caught his attention.
“Come on, Kiyomi,” A man around John’s age said to the waitress. “Now that classes are no longer race-exclusive, you need to play the necromancer; that way we can both join the necromancer guild together.”
“Are you crazy, Josh?” A woman around the same age as them, who sat at the same table as the boy, asked. “Do you really think the necromancers will accept her? She’s part kitsune, for moron… err, no offence, Kiyomi.”
“None taken, April,” Kiyomi replied before saying to Josh. “I already told you I have no interest in playing a ranged DPS; I want to stand up front and cut things down.”
“Come, Kiyomi,” Josh groaned before looking towards the store and asking, “Mr and Mrs Spencer, can't you talk some sense into her?”
The man who was making drinks laughed and said, “I think she should play a guardian like her old man?”
The woman, however, scoffed before saying, “She should follow her mother and become a sorceress.”
“Enough,” Kiyomi groaned before adamantly saying. “I don't want to play ranged or tank; I’m going with either a warrior or a thief.”
“You're a lost cause,” Josh replied with a disappointed sigh, to which Kiyomi glared at him and said, “If you want someone to play necromancer with, ask April; she plans to be a caster.”
“A healer. I plan to play cleric,” April corrected, just as Kiyomi’s mother said, “Kiyomi, you're up.”
“Coming,” Kiyomi replied before hurrying over and collecting the food and water, which she quickly delivered to John’s table. “Here's your order, sir.”
“Thanks,” John said with a smile before asking. “So you can start playing soon?”
“Yeah,” Kiyomi nodded excitedly before adding. “It’s my eighteenth birthday tomorrow.”
“Well, happy birthday for tomorrow then,” John replied before he began to eat his food.
Kiyomi gave him a grateful smile before returning to her friends as she waited to serve the next customer.
“Kiyomi, who's that handsome guy?” April asked in a low whisper.
Kiyomi, however, shook her head and said quietly, “No idea, never seen him before.” This caused Josh to scoff and say. “He’s ok.”
“Yeah, right, what do you know about handsome men, Josh?” April asked teasingly and was about to continue when the sound of multiple access bands going off simultaneously went off, attracting everyone's attention.
The group of three youngsters watched enviously as everyone else checked their access bands before Kiyomi’s father laughed and said. “Tia just released the information on the next patch.
“Really?” Kiyomi asked in excitement as she and her two friends hurried towards her dad, who had come out from behind the food stall, allowing them to read the information.
John glanced at Kiyomi and her parents and was briefly reminded of his own before he quickly pushed that thought aside and checked the notification on his own access band.
