Global Descent: I Alone Can See Hidden Evolution Paths
Chapter 146: Spoiled EmpressThe news of Liu Xiao’s pregnancy cast an immediate, joyous spell over the entire alpine sanctuary. For the next week, the cabin felt less like a tactical stronghold for cosmic survival and more like a royal estate dedicated entirely to the pampering of one very reluctant, deeply cherished mother-to-be.
Min-jae took his role as an overprotective expectant father to absolute comedic extremes.
"Min-jae, I swear if you bring me another bowl of starlight-infused dragon fruit, I am going to throw it out the window," Xiao sighed, sitting up against a mountain of plush velvet pillows on the living room sofa. She rubbed her temples, looking at the small dining table next to her that was currently groaning under the weight of exotic fruits, medicinal teas, and broths prepared by Vespera and Chae-won.
"It’s rich in cellular regeneration vitamins for the fetus," Min-jae said smoothly, walking out of the kitchen holding a silver tray with yet another steaming bowl of soup. He sat down beside her on the sofa, scooping up a spoonful and blowing on it gently. "Doctor’s orders. Or rather, a True God’s orders. Open wide."
Xiao shot him a withering, affectionate look. "You realize I am a master cultivator who can shatter mountains with a flick of my wrist, right? I am pregnant, not paralyzed."
"You are carrying my firstborn," Min-jae countered with a deadpan, utterly serious expression, though a playful glint danced in his golden eyes. "Therefore, you are made of fragile glass for the next eight months. Eat the soup."
From across the room, Yoo Ji-a burst out laughing, leaning back against the arm of a chair where she was polishing her shadow-spear. "Give up, Xiao. You’ve lost all executive power in this household. He’s never going to let you touch a weapon or walk more than five steps on your own again."
"It’s true," Lin Miao chimed in, padding over on all fours with her nine tails swaying behind her before resting her chin on the edge of the sofa cushion, staring up at Xiao’s stomach with wide, fascinated sapphire eyes. "I tried to get her to help me practice my starlight daggers yesterday, and Min-jae looked at me like I had just tried to assassinate the president."
"Because you practically did," Min-jae scoffed lightly, finally succeeding in feeding Xiao a spoonful of soup. "No high-intensity combat training anywhere near the mother-to-be. That is rule number one of the new household code."
Medusa, who was lounging on the opposite sofa with a glass of starlight wine, let out a dramatic, exaggerated sigh. She rested the back of her hand against her forehead, rolling her emerald eyes.
"Oh, look at us," Medusa mocked good-naturedly, pouting her lips. "The whole house has turned into a nursery overnight. The great Emperor Min-jae has traded his cosmic authority for an apron and a baby spoon. Meanwhile, some of us are still waiting for our turn to break the cosmic rules."
Xiao swallowed the soup and offered Medusa a smug, triumphant smile. "Keep practicing your wine-spilling techniques, Medusa. Maybe by year three, you’ll catch up."
"You—!" Medusa gasped playfully, tossing a plush throw pillow straight at Xiao’s head.
Before the pillow could even cross the coffee table, a golden ripple of spatial energy materialized in mid-air, catching the pillow and neatly tossing it back into Medusa’s lap.
Min-jae didn’t even blink, keeping his eyes entirely focused on Xiao as he offered her another spoonful. "No throwing projectiles near the couch either."
The entire room erupted into warm, booming laughter. Even Azshara, who usually maintained a stoic, commanding presence, chuckled softly as she walked over from the porch, carrying a massive roll of blueprints under her arm.
"If you two are quite finished bickering over baby privileges," Azshara said, unrolling the blueprint across the coffee table and knocking the bowls aside with absolute authority, "we need to discuss the actual layout of the nursery."
Min-jae’s attention snapped instantly to the architectural drawing. "Ah. Let me see."
The blueprint detailed a sprawling, multi-room wing to be magically fabricated onto the back of the cabin, complete with sound-proofed starlight shielding, a natural indoor hot spring bath tailored for infants, and a ceiling enchanted to project the exact constellations of their original home dimension.
"I want the walls reinforced with compressed star-metal," Min-jae stated immediately, pointing a finger at the blueprint. "Just in case the baby inherits my divine core and decides to kick through a wall at age two."
"Star-metal for a nursery?" Major General Ye-rin raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms with a smirk. "Are we building a royal bunker or a child’s bedroom?"
"Both," Min-jae said seriously. "This is a god child we’re talking about."
Xiao looked around the room at her husbands and sister-wives—arguing cheerfully over room colors, security wards, and crib sizes while the steady, peaceful rain pattered against the windows outside. A profound sense of peace washed over her. The universe was still ticking down toward the awakening of the destroyer, and a hundred years was just a blip in eternity.
With Liu Xiao resting comfortably against a mountain of pillows, surrounded by the doting attention of a few of her sister , the heavy, electric hum of anticipation in the room shifted. A True God’s vitality did not wane; if anything, the miraculous news of an incoming heir had acted as a catalyst, supercharging the spiritual matrix shared by the entire household.
Yoo Ji-a was the first to close the distance. She sauntered over to the sofa where Min-jae was sitting, her violet eyes gleaming with a mix of mischief and deep, consuming hunger.
"Well," Ji-a purred, leaning down so her lips brushed the shell of his ear. "Xiao got the first crown of motherhood. But the rest of us still have a lot of celebrating to do... and I intend to make sure you don’t forget the other queens."
Min-jae’s golden eyes flared with amusement and raw desire. He reached out, grabbing her by the waist and pulling her straight into his lap with effortless strength. "Is that so? And how do you plan to remind me, Ji-a?"
"By taking all your attention," she whispered, kissing him fiercely before sliding her hands into his hair.
The casual atmosphere dissolved in an instant. The living room floor, already layered with thick wool blankets and velvet cushions from previous nights, transformed into a sprawling sanctuary of passion.
Azshara stood up, her midnight-silk robe parting as she stepped forward, her crimson eyes locked onto Min-jae with a predatory, possessive heat. "The Empress claims the next share of your focus," she commanded softly, her voice a low, raspy purr that sent a shiver down everyone’s spine.
She didn’t wait for permission. She straddled his other side, pressing her warm, heavy body against his chest, her lips crashing onto his in a deep, hungry kiss that tasted of sweet starlight wine and ancient power.
Lin Miao wasted no time either. Bounding over on hands and knees, her nine white tails fluffing out behind her in an excited halo, she crawled right into the center of the tangle. "Me too! You can’t leave the fox out of the celebration!" she giggled, immediately capturing his neck and trailing hot, wet kisses down his jawline.
Within moments, the entire room was engulfed in a frantic, beautiful rhythm of intimacy. The boundary between romance and wild, divine ecstasy blurred completely.
Min-jae moved with a sovereign’s grace, his hands and body attending to each of his queens in turn, ensuring that none of them were left wanting. He took Yoo Ji-a first on the velvet cushions, his deep, powerful thrusts eliciting breathless, high-pitched moans that echoed off the cabin walls as she arched her back into his touch.
Then came Azshara. As he rolled her beneath him, pinning her against the plush blankets, her regal composure completely shattered. She wrapped her legs tightly around his waist, her crimson eyes rolling back as she sobbed his name, her inner walls clamping down desperately around him with every punishing, soul-shaking stroke.
The rotation continued seamlessly. Vance, Chae-won, the twins, and the rest of the queens stepped up one by one, each taking their turn in the grand, unending marathon of pleasure. Even Medusa, who had been pouting earlier about Xiao’s head start, crawled over with a wicked, triumphant grin, pulling Min-jae down into a deep, tongue-tangling kiss before he took her with a fierce, burning passion that left her completely breathless and weeping tears of ecstasy on the floor.
The air grew thick with the musky, intoxicating scent of their combined pheromones and overflowing divine prana. Moans, sighs, and breathless whispers of devotion filled the room, blending together into a symphony of absolute fulfillment.
Every touch was electric; every kiss was a renewal of their eternal bond. Min-jae felt their energies surging through him, feeding his core, reminding him that his power didn’t just come from the cosmos—it came from the beating hearts of the women who loved him.
As the night wore on and the fire flickered down to glowing embers, the frantic pace finally slowed into a warm, lazy tide of post-climax bliss.
Min-jae lay flat on his back in the center of the plush blankets, utterly exhausted yet completely invincible. His body was a tangled masterpiece of sleeping, satisfied queens. Azshara rested her head on his shoulder; Miao was curled up like a warm, furry blanket across his waist; Ji-a and Xiao dozed peacefully against his sides, their skin slick with a light sheen of sweat.
Min-jae wrapped his arms around them, holding his entire world close against the quiet dark of the alpine night. The destroyer was coming in a hundred years, and the universe was full of unknowns. But as he closed his eyes, drifting off to the synchronized rhythm of a dozen breathing goddesses, he knew one thing for certain:
They were ready for anything.
