"Source?" This was the first time Adam had his speculation confirmed by someone else.
"But why does the Heavenly Court need the Source?" Adam immediately asked the question that had puzzled him for a long time.
"How long has the Heavenly Court existed?" The Book Saint didn’t rush to answer, but asked a question in return.
"I’m not exactly sure, but it has to be at least tens of thousands of years to start!" Adam didn’t know a specific number and could only make this guess.
"That’s right, tens of thousands of years at the bare minimum, do you know how long a Saint can live under normal circumstances?" the Book Saint asked again.
Adam frowned. Generally speaking, the normal lifespan of deities in heaven and earth rarely exceeded a thousand years, even upon reaching the Saint realm, where it grew exponentially, it was at most a few thousand years.
But shouldn’t those gods of the Heavenly Court have transcended the Three Realms long ago?
"Are you thinking that those people in the Heavenly Court shouldn’t be able to die by now? Right?"

But this is a world of gods, physics shouldn’t apply here!

"Dao principles change along with the world, since they can change, then nothing is eternal!"

"Exactly, the soul also ages along with the world, and it is equally affected by Source!" The Book Saint looked at Adam in surprise, this kid caught on very quickly.
"Then how much Source can one person absorb at most? And how much longer can they live?" Adam asked.
"That depends on an individual’s constitution and cultivation realm, as far as I know, the average is between 200 and 800 years!"
"That still doesn’t support the Heavenly Court existing for so long, even if the gods inherently live longer, they should have reached their absolute limits by the time of the previous two Heaven and Earth Upheavals!"
