While looking at Mira and the others, Elion reactivated the World Eyes.
The women fell into a trance once again, their gazes becoming lost within the splendor of his mismatched pupils.
Acting upon an idea that had suddenly appeared in his mind, Elion filtered out everything else and focused on a single aspect of his vision.
The one that allowed him to see through layers of space. Blocking out every other influx of information apart from that one was easier than he had thought it would be.
A grin spread across his face as he finally gave Mira an answer to her question.
"Let us just say that I gained far more than a massive improvement to my eyesight. The simplest way to describe these eyes would be heaven-defying."
Elion smirked as his gaze moved from one woman to the next. From his current perspective, they were wearing little more than their undergarments.
Apparently, being able to see through layers of space meant that he could see through layers of clothing, and considering that Tessa was not wearing a bra beneath her training top, he could see quite a lot.
"What a beautiful sight..." Her dark nipples were just as beautiful as he remembered.
Tessa suddenly snapped out of her trance when she felt his gaze boring into her chest and instinctively crossed her arms over herself.
"Why do I feel as though you are stripping me naked with your eyes?" she asked, narrowing them suspiciously.
Elion’s grin turned wolfish. "Who knows? I just might be."
"You cannot be serious." Her expression shifted into disbelief. "Do not tell me those are merely some perverted eyes that allow you to see through our clothes!"
Tessa’s accusation earned an uproarious laugh from Elion.
"Well, you caught me. But no, that is only one of their many capabilities, and I can turn it on and off at will."
"Elion," Tessa said, her expression turning serious. "Turn them off, and do not go around using that ability in the streets like some starved beast. Are we not enough for you?"
Elion raised his hands in mock surrender. "Sheesh. What do you take me for? Of course I will not use it on other people. Only on you ladies."
Tessa stared at him for several seconds before snatching the towel from the nearby bench and throwing it directly at his face.
"That is hardly a suitable way to use a pair of powerful eyes!"
Elion caught it effortlessly. "Don’t be so dramatic; I have already seen those beautiful pair of milkers if you forgot."
Tessa’s cheeks erupted into a furious blush. She wanted to say otherwise, but there was no way to refute what he had just said, so she just retrieved the towel from his hand and began wiping the sweat from her neck.
"So, besides violating everyone’s privacy, what can those eyes actually do?"
And so, Elion spent the next several minutes explaining the new abilities he had gained from the World Eyes as briefly as he could.
After some trial and error, he also managed to tone their perception down to a simple form of enhanced sight, similar to what he experienced whenever he activated Discerning Eye.
The difference was that this sight remained passively active at all times, making it far more useful.
The only problem was that his beautiful new eyes were far too conspicuous.
One was golden, while the other was dark and seemed to contain countless stars within its depths.
While experimenting with their abilities, Elion made another wondrous discovery.
The World Eyes were not strictly limited to the abilities listed within the system’s description.
Well, perhaps these features were merely extensions of those abilities, but he discovered several useful functions he did not remember reading about.
He could peer directly into a person’s body, examining their vital signs, organs, bones, blood flow, and even their heat signature.
There was also a faint color clinging to each person, one that undoubtedly represented their elemental affinities.
The World Eyes had essentially rendered Discerning Eye useless, as their effects were easily ten times greater than those of the skill.
Elion created a mirror using a simple water spell to get a proper look at his new eyes, and damn, did they look good.
If he had nothing better to do, he would probably spend the entire day staring into the water mirror and admiring his new appearance.
"I keep getting more and more handsome by the day."
He tilted his chin from side to side while smiling at his reflection.
"The women of the kingdom truly stand no chance."
His shameless self-praise earned a chorus of bell-like giggles from the four women, though they completely agreed with him.
"You were already unbearably arrogant before. Those eyes have only made things worse." Tessa commented.
Elion continued admiring his reflection. "Can you blame me? Look at this face."
"I am looking," Zenith added without the slightest shame. "You are very beautiful, Hubby."
"Handsome," Elion corrected.
"Both."
He considered the answer before nodding approvingly. "I will allow it."
Mira shook her head. "The problem is that everyone else will also be looking. Those eyes are far too distinctive."
Elion’s smile faded slightly as he considered her words.
She was right.
Even among a world populated by strange races, magical bloodlines, and powerful artifacts, his eyes would attract far too much attention.
Someone might assume they were merely the result of a rare bloodline, but the more knowledgeable figures in the world could potentially recognize that they were something far greater.
Divine pupils were not the sort of thing he wanted to advertise before he even understood them properly.
If word got around, he would probably get kidnapped by a cult who would likely attempt to gouge his eyeballs out.
"They certainly are conspicuous," he admitted.
Tessa folded her arms. "That is putting it mildly. You look like some ancient god descended into a mortal body."
Elion smiled.
"I like the sound of that."
"That was not a compliment."
Aria approached the water mirror and leaned closer, studying his reflection beside her own. "Can you not simply deactivate them?"
"I can, but then I lose the passive enhanced vision."
