The tall hunter stepped onto the arena floor, his bronze aura spreading around him as the crowd settled into silence.
Kael stood several meters away, one hand resting casually on the hilt of his sword.
Just as the hunter lowered himself into his stance, Kael raised a hand.
"Before we start..."
The hunter frowned.
"What?"
Kael smiled.
"Let me give you a little tip."
The hunter stared at him.
Kael's smile widened.
"Don't let me bleed you."
A few hunters exchanged confused looks.
"What does that mean?"
The tall hunter's expression hardened.
"You think a little warning is going to scare me?"
Kael chuckled.
"I'm not trying to scare you."
He slowly drew his sword.
"I'm giving you advice."
The hunter's bronze aura suddenly surged.
"Then keep your advice."
Kael's grin remained.
"Your choice."
The hunter's expression instantly became serious.
"Begin!"
The moment the word left the observer's mouth, the tall hunter vanished forward.
His bronze aura compressed around his body as he raised his hand.
"Breaking Rush!"
BOOM!
The hunter shot forward with explosive speed, his fist driving straight toward Kael's chest.
But Kael had already moved.
His body shifted sideways just before the punch reached him, allowing the attack to tear past his shoulder.
The hunter's fist missed by inches.
"What?"
Kael smoothly turned with the movement, his eyes following the hunter's momentum.
He had seen it.
The moment the hunter's aura compressed around his legs, Kael had already understood where the attack was going.
The hunter twisted and immediately followed with another strike.
Kael ducked beneath it.
The hunter's fist passed over his head.
Kael stepped away and looked at him calmly.
"Too obvious."
The crowd reacted immediately.
"He dodged it!"
"That was a technique!"
"How did he see that coming?"
The hunter's expression darkened.
He had expected Kael to be caught off guard by his opening technique.
Instead, Kael had avoided it without even using Mirage Step.
The hunter clenched his fist.
"So you can read techniques."
Kael smiled.
"Sometimes."
The hunter lowered his stance again.
This time, he didn't rush blindly.
Kael remained relaxed, waiting.
The hunter's bronze aura began to rise once more.
The second exchange was about to begin.
