Darius looked at Kael after his question.

"What kind of ability did you have when you were a Bronze Hunter?"

For a moment, Darius said nothing.

Then he shook his head.

"That's not something you need to worry about yet."

Kael frowned.

"You just told me to ask questions."

"I said you could ask."

Darius's expression remained calm.

"I never said I'd answer everything."

Kael gave him a suspicious look.

"Convenient."

Darius ignored the comment.

Kael leaned back slightly, then decided to move on.

"Fine. Why are abilities so rare among Bronze Hunters?"

Darius's expression became thoughtful.

"They aren't necessarily rare."

Kael raised an eyebrow.

"Then why did you say having one at Bronze is unusual?"

"Because most Hunters don't awaken their abilities until they reach Silver."

Kael's expression changed slightly.

"Silver?"

Darius nodded.

"For most people, their ability remains dormant until their mana and body reach a certain level. Silver Rank is usually where that happens."

Kael looked at his palm.

"So Bronze ability users are unusual because they awakened early."

"Exactly."

Darius folded his arms.

"There are exceptions. Some people awaken their abilities earlier than Silver, but they're uncommon."

Kael nodded slowly.

"And some people never awaken one?"

"Correct."

"Even if they become strong?"

"Even then."

Darius continued,

"An ability isn't something every Hunter is guaranteed to possess. Some Hunters reach very high ranks through nothing but training, techniques, experience, and physical development."

Kael thought about that.

"So having an ability isn't required to become strong."

"Not at all."

Darius glanced at him.

"An ability is an advantage, not a requirement."

Kael nodded.

"What about rank? Does awakening an ability automatically increase someone's rank?"

"No."

Darius answered immediately.

"Rank is determined by overall strength and mana. Awakening an ability doesn't suddenly make someone Silver."

"So a Bronze Hunter can awaken an ability and remain Bronze."

"Exactly."

Kael smiled faintly.

"Then Leon and Cherry are pretty unusual."

Darius gave him a look.

"Very."

Kael tilted his head.

"How unusual?"

"Think about how many Bronze Hunters you've met."

Kael considered it.

"Quite a few."

"How many had abilities?"

Kael paused.

"Leon."

He raised another finger.

"Cherry."

Then he looked at Darius.

"That's it."

Darius nodded.

"That's what I'm talking about."

Kael smiled.

"So I really have been lucky."

"Perhaps."

Darius didn't sound entirely convinced.

Kael moved on.

"Then what happens when someone reaches Silver?"

"Their mana increases significantly, and for those who possess a dormant ability, that increase can trigger its awakening."

"Can the ability be immediately used properly?"

"Usually not."

Darius shook his head.

"Awakening an ability and mastering it are two different things. Some Hunters spend years learning how to properly use what they've awakened."

Kael nodded.

"So an ability can grow?"

"Some can."

"How?"

"Training. Understanding. Experience. Sometimes the ability itself changes as the user becomes stronger."

Kael's eyes narrowed slightly.

"Changes?"

Darius nodded.

"Not every ability develops the same way."

Kael looked down at his palm again.

Darius noticed but didn't comment.

Kael then held up the token.

"What about techniques?"

Darius looked at it.

"What do you want to know?"

"How common are technique tokens?"

"Not uncommon."

"Then why was this one worth so much?"

"Because the technique stored inside it was valuable."

Darius pointed toward the token.

"The token is only the container. The technique is what matters."

Kael nodded.

"And if I learn the technique, can I teach it to someone else?"

"That depends on the technique."

"Why?"

"Some techniques can be taught normally. Others require specific physical traits, mana control, or conditions."

Kael thought about it.

"So having the token doesn't guarantee that someone can use what's inside."

"Correct."

Kael nodded.

He had learned quite a bit already, but another question immediately came to mind.

"Then what's the difference between a newly advanced Bronze Hunter and an experienced one?"

Darius's expression became more serious.

"Control."

Kael listened.

"A newly advanced Bronze Hunter has crossed the threshold, but they haven't necessarily learned how to use that power efficiently."

Darius continued,

"An experienced Bronze Hunter understands their body, their mana, and their techniques better. They waste less movement and less energy."

"And Peak Bronze?"

Darius's expression became slightly more focused.

"Someone who has pushed their strength and control to the limit of Bronze and has started feeling mana more deeply."

Kael's eyes narrowed with interest.

"Feeling mana?"

Darius nodded.

"It's one of the signs that a Hunter is approaching the next stage."

Kael remained silent for a moment, absorbing that.

"So reaching Peak Bronze isn't just about having more power."

"Exactly."

Darius looked at him.

"At that point, a Hunter begins to sense mana differently. They become more aware of its flow, both within themselves and around them."

Kael nodded slowly.

That explained something.

Some Hunters simply felt different.

Their movements weren't always faster or stronger, yet their control was on another level.

Kael leaned forward slightly.

"Then what exactly do you feel when you sense mana like that?"

Darius looked at him.

"Now that's a better question."
