Robert stared at the Elite Silver. The man's confidence irritated him.
But what bothered Robert even more was the metallic coating covering his body.
He had already tested it once.
His sword had struck the man's body directly.
And it hadn't done anything.
Robert tightened his grip and stepped forward.
The shadow smiled.
Then he disappeared.
SWISH!
His sword cut through the air, heading straight for the shadow's neck.
The shadow didn't move.
CLANG!
The blade struck his neck.
Sparks exploded from the impact.
Robert's eyes widened.
There wasn't even a scratch.
The shadow slowly turned his head toward him.
“That was a good strike.”
Robert's expression darkened.
He swung again.
CLANG!
This time, he aimed for the shoulder.
Nothing.
Another strike.
CLANG!
The ribs.
Nothing.
A fourth.
CLANG!
The thigh.
Still nothing.
The shadow stood completely still.
Robert's breathing grew heavier.
He had never encountered something like this.
His sword was sharp enough to cut through ordinary armor.
Yet against this man's body, it was like striking a solid piece of steel.
The shadow smiled.
“Finished?”
Robert's eyes narrowed.
“No.”
He stepped forward and swung with all his strength.
BOOM!
The impact sent sparks flying.
The shadow's body moved half a step.
But there was still no wound.
The shadow looked down at his chest.
“That's better.”
He looked back at Robert.
“But it's still not enough.”
His fist suddenly shot forward.
BOOM!
Robert crossed his sword in front of his body.
The punch slammed into the blade.
The force sent him sliding backward.
His boots dug into the ground.
Kael immediately moved.
“Robert!”
“Don't!”
Too late.
Kael activated Mirage Step.
WHOOSH!
He vanished.
The shadow glanced to his side.
Kael appeared behind him.
His sword swung toward the back of the shadow's neck.
CLANG!
Sparks erupted.
Kael's expression changed.
Nothing.
The blade hadn't penetrated even slightly.
The shadow turned around.
“You're next?”
Kael immediately pulled his sword away.
He attacked again.
CLANG!
The shoulder.
Again.
CLANG!
The ribs.
Again.
CLANG!
The thigh.
Every strike failed.
Kael gritted his teeth.
“This is ridiculous.”
His expression became serious.
Robert walked forward, his eyes fixed on the Elite Silver.
“His ability isn't just increasing his defense.”
He raised his sword.
“It completely changes the nature of his body.”
The shadow smiled.
“Finally…”
He looked directly at Robert.
“Someone who understands.”
