Hunt Race

Chapter 50: Silence

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!

The explosion swallowed everything.

The earth shattered beneath their feet.

A violent shockwave swept across the clearing, uprooting trees and blasting countless rocks into the air.

Dust engulfed the battlefield.

Silence followed.

Kael instinctively raised an arm to shield his face.

The fierce wind nearly knocked him off balance.

When it finally subsided...

He slowly lowered his arm.

The clearing...

Was gone.

A massive crater occupied its place.

At its center—

The Silver Rank remained standing.

Motionless.

His sword was still clutched tightly in his hand.

Not a single sound escaped him.

...

Then—

A thin stream of blood flowed from the corner of his mouth.

Another.

Then another.

His sword slipped from his fingers.

Clang.

It struck the ground.

His knees buckled.

His body swayed.

Without warning—

Blood burst from his mouth.

His eyes...

Had already lost their light.

The force of Full Moon hadn't destroyed him from the outside.

It had shattered him from within.

Every organ.

Every bone.

Reduced to ruin by the devastating shockwave that bloomed inside his body.

His lifeless body collapsed into the crater.

Thud.

Silence filled the clearing once more.

The hunt...

Was over.

She stared calmly at his corpse.

Her expression never changed.

Without another glance, she bent down and picked up her bow.

Behind her—

The remaining bandits stood frozen.

Their leader...

Was dead.

Fear spread through the group.

"Run!"

One of them turned.

Then another.

Within moments, the remaining bandits fled in every direction, disappearing into the surrounding forest.

She calmly drew a single arrow.

The bowstring stretched.

A faint silver aura gathered around the arrowhead.

It shimmered softly.

Then...

It vanished.

As though it had never been there.

Kael's eyes widened.

He could no longer sense the aura.

She aimed toward the forest.

Her voice was soft.

Barely above a whisper.

"I'll name this technique..."

The world seemed to fall silent.

"No Escape."

TWANG!

The arrow vanished.

A heartbeat later—

A scream echoed from deep within the forest.

Then another.

Then another.

The screams came from different directions.

Each one ended almost as quickly as it began.

Moments later...

Silence reclaimed the forest.

Not a single bandit escaped.
