I Am Already A Queen

Chapter 79: Professors From University

Chapter 79: Chapter 79: Professors From University

Judging entirely by their animated gestures and intense reactions, it seemed as though something absolutely extraordinary had just occurred within the four walls of the office.

"What... What exactly is going on here?" Jiang Suhan finally could not help asking, his voice breaking the tense atmosphere.

The old man with the thick, unruly beard immediately whipped his head around, fixing his sharp gaze entirely onto Jiang Suhan.

"You are her elder brother, correct?" The old man demanded loudly.

"Yes, I am." Jiang Suhan nodded, his protective instincts instantly putting him on alert.

Without a single word of warning, the old man suddenly bolted upright from his chair and strode aggressively toward Jiang Suhan. Before the young man could even react, the elderly man reached out and firmly grabbed Jiang Suhan by both shoulders, his grip surprisingly tight.

"Do you have even the slightest inkling of what kind of absolute, peerless treasure your family is currently holding?" The old man asked, his voice shaking with a mix of wild excitement and profound awe.

"Huh?" Jiang Suhan blinked in complete bewilderment, temporarily frozen by the sudden physical confrontation.

"Old Li, let go of him, don’t frighten the poor young man!"

"That’s right, calm down and control yourself for a moment."

"Don’t scare the little girl either with your sudden outbursts!"

Hearing the hurried reprimands from others, the old man finally realised his breach of etiquette and abruptly released his tight grip on Jiang Suhan’s shoulders.

"Ahem... My apologies. I got a little too carried away by the excitement." The old man coughed awkwardly, smoothing down his rumpled collar.

Jiang Suhan immediately turned his questioning gaze toward Vice Principal Zhang Yong. His sharp eyes were practically screaming for a logical explanation as to what this bizarre gathering was actually about.

Vice Principal Zhang Yong offered a helpless, reassuring smile.

"Suhan, let me formally introduce everyone first before we get into the details." Zhang Yong extended a hand toward the bearded old man. "This gentleman right here is Professor Li Guowei, the prestigious Head of the Mathematics Department from Sanyuying University. As you already know, our academy is directly affiliated with the university system."

Then, he gestured gracefully toward another elderly gentleman wearing thick, wire-rimmed glasses.

"And this is Professor Chen Ming, the renowned Head of the Physics Department." Vice Principal Zhang Yong introduced smoothly.

He continued down the line, systematically introducing the rest of the occupants in the room. Every single one of them was a prominent professor, elite researcher, or senior faculty member representing various top-tier universities.

As the titles piled up, Jiang Suhan became even more profoundly confused. Why on earth were all these academic heavyweights gathered together inside a high school admissions office on a random weekday?

Professor Li Guowei seemed to read the mounting confusion written all over Jiang Suhan’s face. He smiled warmly, slowly rubbing his thick beard with an air of immense satisfaction.

"We are all gathered here today because of her." Professor Li Guowei pointed a trembling, dramatic finger straight at Qiao Meixia.

Jiang Suhan instinctively turned his head to look at Qiao Meixia. To absolutely nobody’s surprise, she remained completely expressionless, looking as calm, detached, and unbothered as she ever was.

In reality, Qiao Meixia was also internally blank. She genuinely had no idea why these eccentric elderly men had travelled all this way just to stare at her. To the best of her knowledge, she had never crossed paths with a single one of them in her entire life.

"Qiaoqiao, did something specific happen when you were here yesterday?" Jiang Suhan asked softly, tilting his head toward her.

Qiao Meixia thought about the events of the previous day for a brief moment before quietly shaking her head. She truly did not think anything out of the ordinary had occurred.

"Young Lady, do you happen to remember answering a set of examination papers yesterday morning?" Professor Chen Ming asked, his voice softening significantly as he leaned forward.

Qiao Meixia nodded. Of course she remembered doing them. Those papers were supposed to determine whether she possessed the qualifications to enrol in this academy or not.

Professor Chen Ming smiled brightly, using his finger to gently push his glasses up the bridge of his nose.

"Are you aware that some of the questions deliberately mixed into those standard testing papers were actually advanced Mathematical Olympiad and national Physics Olympiad questions?" Professor Chen Ming asked again, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.

"No." Qiao Meixia shook her head casually. Then, she blinked and asked a deadpan question that instantly made every single adult in the room question their collective sanity. "What exactly are the Mathematical Olympiad and the Physics Olympiad?"

Every single eye in the room instantly snapped toward Qiao Meixia in pure, unadulterated shock. The silence was deafening.

"You... you genuinely don’t know what they are?" Professor Li Guowei asked, his voice trembling as if he had just witnessed a miracle.

"No." Qiao Meixia answered with absolute, unbothered honesty.

"Excuse me, but could someone please explain what is going on?" Jiang Suhan intervened, his corporate composure fracturing under the absurdity of the situation.

"To put it simply, there was an administrative mix-up with the testing materials yesterday. Several highly advanced problem sets meant for the Mathematical Olympiad and the Physics Olympiad teams were accidentally shuffled into Miss Qiao’s exam pile." Vice Principal Zhang Yong explained, clearing his throat.

"What?" This time, Jiang Suhan was the one whose jaw nearly dropped in shock.

Vice Principal Zhang Yong pulled several neatly stapled documents from the top drawer of his desk. They were the exact test papers that Qiao Meixia had calmly filled out the day before.

"We had our senior grading faculty thoroughly check and mark Miss Qiao’s papers last night." Vice Principal Zhang Yong stated, his tone dripping with absolute awe.

Then, he continued. "Every single advanced paper received a perfect, flawless full mark, without a single deduction. The only exception was the language and literature paper. However, even that score was remarkably high. She scored a ninety-three. If she receives proper, formal instruction, she will undoubtedly achieve a perfect score there as well."

Jiang Suhan took the test papers from the vice principal’s hands. As his eyes scanned the complex equations, he realised with a jolt that even he, with his elite business degree, could not easily solve some of these advanced mathematics questions without a calculator and a textbook.

Yet, throughout this entire revelation, Qiao Meixia’s expression remained entirely indifferent. It was as though this high-stakes academic discussion had absolutely nothing to do with her personal life.

"So, tell me, child... how exactly did you manage to answer those incredibly complex questions?" Professor Li Guowei asked, leaning in with breathless curiosity.

"Well, I simply read the questions on the paper, and then I wrote down the answers based on what I knew." Qiao Meixia stated flatly.

Everyone in the room fell into a stunned, breathless silence.

Just like that? She just read them and wrote them down?!

Then, the stark reality of her background hit them like a tidal wave. They suddenly remembered the rumours that this girl had never received a single day of formal institutional education in her entire life.

Professor Li Guowei suddenly remembered her family connection and turned a sharp, accusing gaze toward the young man beside Qiao Meixia.

"You mentioned earlier that you are her elder brother. Why on earth did your family neglect her to this extent? Why didn’t you send her to a proper school to receive a formal education?" Professor Li Guowei asked Jiang Suhan, his tone laced with genuine disapproval.

Hearing the question, the other professors finally began to realise the social context of the situation. A few of them looked closely at the young man’s sharp suit and handsome features, instantly recognising his prominent background.

"Wait... You are Jiang Suhan, the prominent heir of the Jiang Family, correct?" One of the professors asked, leaning forward.

"Yes, I am Jiang Suhan." Facing the scrutiny, Jiang Suhan stated the truth openly, his voice steady. "Actually, Qiaoqiao is the long-lost biological daughter of our Jiang Family. We only managed to find her and bring her home very recently. That is precisely the reason why I personally accompanied her today to get her registered for a standard high school education."

Everyone in the office gasped in surprise. They had never expected to stumble upon such a dramatic, high-society family secret inside the faculty lounge.

With that piece of the puzzle falling into place, they finally understood the glaring contradiction of Qiao Meixia’s life. She had never sat in a classroom. So, she wanted to experience the feeling of a student in the school.
