Lucian activated Primordial Sight.

The world shifted into layers of information. Microscopic perception flooded his vision of every organism within a hundred meters. And there, in the center of the clearing, he found it.

The plant’s core. A dense sphere of green-veined tissue buried deep in the bulbous body, pulsing with the same rhythm as the plague mist. The vital point.

He pushed further. Status information assembled itself.

"Everyone hear me?" The connection formed — seven minds linked in an instant. "I need an opening. I just need a clear shot at the plant."

"What are you planning?" Clara’s voice.

"No time to explain. Just create the opening. Keep the water mage busy. Don’t let her look at the plant."

Clara understood immediately. "On your mark."

Lucian closed his eyes and began chanting. Light gathered around him. More than half his mana poured into the forming this spell. The air around him shimmered with heat distortion.

Clara understood immediately. She raised both hands above her head and began chanting — voice low, words ancient, gravity warping around her fingers. Mickey mirrored her stance, copied gravity power surging to life in his palms.

Bruno, Sarah, and Wei Chen launched themselves forward.

Bruno led — Martial King Body gleaming, metallic fists raised. "Tremor King’s Impact!" His fist struck the ground in front of the water mage, the shockwave rippling outward, cracking the earth, throwing up debris.

Sarah followed — "Seismic Cascade!" Three sequential quakes, each one deeper and more violent than the last, turning the ground beneath the water mage’s feet into shifting, broken terrain.

Wei Chen closed the distance with Light Steps and swung — "Celestial Severance — Second Form: Falling Stars!" Seven compressed slashes erupted from his blade in a spreading fan pattern, each one carrying sword intent that bent the air around it.

The water mage deflected Bruno’s shockwave with a water platform. She dissolved before Sarah’s quakes could disrupt her footing and reformed twenty meters away. She raised one hand and Wei Chen’s seven slashes slammed into a wall of compressed water that absorbed each one without a ripple.

Her expression shifted.

"Hydro Prison."

Water erupted from every direction. Orbital spheres of pressurized water formed around each attacker, closing in, threatening to crush them through sheer pressure.

BOOM-BOOM-BOOM.

Bruno burst through his cage with a single augmented punch — crack — water spraying in all directions. Wei Chen cut his with a Starfall slash. Sarah shattered hers with a point-blank Seismic Impact that turned the water to steam.

The water mage then fires a water blast spell.

But the force of the spell sent them all flying — thud-thud-thud-thud-thud — bodies tumbling across the forest floor, crashing through undergrowth, rolling to stops meters away from where they’d started.

Rose’s voice cut through the chaos. "Aegis — Bubble Shields!"

Translucent green domes materialized around each member of the group, absorbing the residual impact and keeping them upright. The shields cracked and faded within seconds, but they did their job.

Meanwhile, Lucian had been chanting.

Light gathered around him, condensed, pulled inward from the surrounding area, compressed into a single point above his raised palm.

His mana gauge plummeted. 75%. 70%. 65%.

At the same time, the two Peak Core officers were overwhelming the plant cultivator.

The controller screamed — roots erupted around him, vines lashed at the officers, thorned branches swung at their heads. But two Peak Cores working in coordination were too much for a single Peak Core plant user fighting in a forest that had been partially cleared of his element.

The spear-woman drove her weapon through a root trying to strangle her and ripped it out of the ground. The axe-man brought his blade down on the controller’s shoulder — schlik — severing the root connection to the plant. The controller staggered, blood spraying from the wound.

"Help me!" the controller screamed toward the water mage. "HELP!"

The water mage was busy.

Clara and Mickey attacked together.

"Void Star."

Two massive orbs of condensed gravity materialized above their palms — compression so dense that the air around them warped, light bending toward the spheres like they were miniature black holes. Clara’s orb was larger, denser, powered by her higher cultivation and SS-Rank ability. Mickey’s was smaller but still devastating.

They launched them simultaneously — two orbs of gravitational annihilation screaming toward the water mage from opposite angles.

The water mage’s eyes widened. She raised both hands and chanted — fast, her voice cutting through the sound of the forest.

"Ocean’s Wrath."

A massive wall of water materialized in front of her — a wall of pressurized water that rushed forward to meet the Void Stars head-on.

The collision was catastrophic.

BOOOOOOOOM.

The two Void Stars slammed into Ocean’s Wrath. The air between them screamed. The ground beneath the clash point sank two meters.

"Dawnbreaker: First Light."

The condensed sphere of light above his palm launched. Pure radiance shaped into a sword form by Dawnbreaker’s purifying properties, carrying every remaining drop of mana Lucian had committed to the spell. It crossed the twenty meters between him and the plant in a fraction of a second — a streak of blinding white that illuminated the entire clearing like a second sun.

The water mage’s head snapped toward it. Her eyes went wide. She raised her hand, started a chant—

Lucian fired Mind Spike.

The mental lance slammed into her consciousness. Her chant stuttered. Her hand trembled. For one crucial second, her spell formation collapsed.

"Light Chains." "Blood Chains."

Golden chains of light and crimson chains of blood erupted from the ground around the water mage, wrapping around her arms, her legs, her torso. Pinning her in place.

Her Ocean’s Wrath — the spell she’d been using to hold off the Void Stars — lost her active control. The compressed water collapsed inward. The two gravitational orbs hit her simultaneously.

Then everything released.

A shockwave, raw force expanding outward — erupted from the impact point. Trees within a twenty-meter radius were flattened. The ground cracked in concentric circles. The air became shrapnel — splinters of wood, shards of ice from Clara’s frost, fragments of compressed water moving at bullet speed.

Lucian saw it coming. He activated Crimson Vessel — crimson sheen spreading across his skin, blood circulating at extreme pressure, his body hardening against cutting force and impact.

Clara reacted faster. She encased herself and Mickey in an orb of frost — thick, dense, absorbing kinetic energy. They were launched backward by the shockwave, tumbling end over end inside the ice sphere like a pair of dice in a barrel.

Bruno had it worst. He saw the shockwave coming and had only one option. He crossed his arms, activated Martial King Body to maximum density, planted his feet, and took it.

BOOM.

The impact hit him like a truck made of air. His metallic skin cracked in three places. His feet left trenches in the ground as he was pushed backward — five meters, ten, fifteen — before a tree stopped him. The trunk splintered. He slid down, coughing blood, but he was alive. His body had done exactly what it was designed to do.

Wei Chen used the only defense available. Sword Spirit blazed at maximum output, sword intent forming a shell around his body. The shockwave hit the intent shell and fractured it — cracks spreading through the projection like a breaking mirror — but it absorbed enough force that Wei Chen was pushed back rather than crushed. He slid across the forest floor, sword dragging behind him, eyes wide.

Rose didn’t hesitate. She saw Sarah and Nadia exposed and acted — "Bubble Shield — Maximum Coverage!" Three green domes materialized around herself, Sarah, and Nadia. The shockwave hit the outer barrier — crack-crack-crack — and the domes held. The outer shell shattered on impact, but the inner barrier remained, protecting the three of them from the worst of it.

The plant shrieked.

Green light erupted from the wound, the plague compound boiling inside the plant’s body as Dawnbreaker’s purifying properties burned through the infected tissue. The leaves curled inward, blackened, crumbled. The roots went rigid, then slack, then began to decompose.

The Viridian Blight Colossus plant died.

The shockwave from the Void Star collision finally reached full expansion. Everything within twenty meters was flattened, shattered, or launched. Dust billowed outward in a massive cloud.

Lucian activated Crimson Vessel and braced. The shockwave hit him — BOOM — and he was sent flying, crashing through two trees before a third stopped his momentum. Pain flared across his back and shoulders. Crimson Vessel absorbed the worst of it, but he still tasted blood.

A few moments later, the dust settled.

Lucian pushed himself upright. His injuries were already healing — Eternal Regeneration working through the damage at accelerated speed. He looked around.

Clara and Mickey’s frost orb had cracked open. They were pulling themselves out of the shattered ice, bruised but mobile. Clara’s wounds were closing as her vampire regeneration kicked in.
