I Became a Peak Master With No Disciples?!

Chapter 139 - Heavenly Cloud’s Kill Squad

Jun Tianya turned his eyes toward Su Ming. "Peak Master Su, tell the assembly how you identified the demonic brand and the Demonic Ancestor Mo."

Dozens of sharp eyes turned to focus on Su Ming.

Su Ming kept his expression neutral, stepping forward with his hands in his sleeves.

"My perception is a bit more sensitive than average," Su Ming said, his voice calm, having prepared for this question beforehand.

"During the tournament, I detected a minor disharmony in the aura of disciple Zhou Heng. It was only when I got close to the stage and apprehended him that I was able to clearly feel the faint demonic brand hidden in his soul sea. For Elder Cang Yun, I was only able to trace the similar energy and connect the energy threads once he came closer to defend disciple Zhou Heng."

Jun Tianya nodded. "All elders should take note. When facing them, do not rely solely on standard divine sense. Saint Realm elders, use your Saintly Divine Sense to check for any demonic aura." He glanced toward the elders standing at the rear. "Those remaining to guard the peaks must immediately conduct a thorough scan of every disciple and deacon. We will not leave a single hidden brand within our own gates."

He turned to the holographic map floating above the altar.

"We will mobilize four Saint Realm powerhouses to cover these strongholds, and I will personally take charge of three locations," Jun Tianya announced.

He pointed to the red dots.

"Peak Master Yan of Azure Dragon Peak will lead the strike on the fourth." Yan Qinghai, holding a heavy spear, nodded silently.

"Peak Master Jian of Heavenly Sword Peak will lead the fifth." Jian Wufeng stood like an unsheathed blade, his eyes cold.

"First Elder Nie of Golden Qilin Peak will lead the sixth." Elder Nie, another Saint Realm elder, stepped forward.

"Peak Master Lei of Thunder Heaven Peak will lead the seventh." Lei Zhenwu grunted, his heavy halberd resting against his shoulder.

Jun Tianya looked at Su Ming. "Peak Master Su, you will accompany Peak Master Lei’s group."

"This junior obeys," Su Ming replied, bowing slightly.

Jun Tianya then distributed twenty-three Nascent Soul and Avatar Formation elders. Five elders were assigned to follow each of the four peak master groups, while three Avatar Formation elders were assigned to follow the Sect Master directly.

Su Ming looked at the powerhouses around him. The suffocating killing intent in the air made his hair rise slightly under the tension. He had never seen this concentration of powerhouses before.

’I am fortunate,’ Su Ming thought as he looked at the cold faces of the elders.

He reflected on how lucky he was to have transmigrated into one of the great sects of this world. In smaller or ordinary sects, finding a single Golden Core elder was difficult, and a Nascent Soul cultivator would be revered as an ancestor. Yet here, standing among twenty-three Nascent Soul and Avatar Formation elders alongside five Saints, his early Nascent Soul cultivation base felt completely ordinary.

He also realized how much he had undervalued Mystic-rank techniques. In the wider cultivation world, even a low-grade Mystic-rank manual was highly sought after, capable of supporting a cultivator all the way to the Golden Core realm. Yet, he was sitting on multiple Saint-grade techniques.

’For a heaven’s chosen like Lin Fan, just a single page of a Saint-grade technique was one of his cheats,’ Su Ming thought, a quiet sense of gratitude settling in his heart. ’I have it much easier.’

Jun Tianya raised his hand, the violet lightning on his sleeves flaring.

"Go," the Sect Master commanded. "Leave no one alive. Erase them from the world."

"We obey!" the elders shouted in unison.

The streaks of light shot away from the hall, shooting toward their destinations.

***

Deep beneath a jagged mountain, in a chamber sealed by multiple heavy formations, a pair of eyes opened in the darkness.

There was no sound, only the sudden awakening in the middle of the darkness.

In this chamber, Demonic Ancestor Mo sat in a silent trance within his host body, his breath shallow, yet packed with a terrifying power. He raised his hand, checking his grip. A heavy sabre with a blade curved like a crescent moon, the Blood Moon Sabre, rested on his knees, pulsing with a faint, crimson glow.

His sword-like eyebrows and the sharp jaw tightened as his gaze flashed with a red light that pierced through the darkness.

"Master of the White Lotus Peak," he whispered, his voice dry, "Su Ming. I will have my revenge."

The same whisper echoed across six other mouths scattered across the continent at the same time.

The feeling of intense anger burned across all seven vessels. This Su Ming had ruined his perfect plan. He had spent months preparing in secret and cultivating those branded pawns, only for Su Ming to force him out. He had even lost his vessel Cang Yun because of this peak master.

He was not a fool. A fool would have perished three hundred years ago when the Heavenly Cloud Sect launched a full-scale attack to crush the Nine Shadows Sect. He had survived because he was cautious.

He had split his soul into multiple anchors, dividing his strength to avoid total destruction. He had taken every precaution. His vessels were sealed, their karma severed, each hiding in a dormant state to prevent any divination from reaching it.

Yet, he felt a strange sense of unease. The Heavenly Cloud Sect was an ancient behemoth. They had survived countless eras, and they possessed secrets that even he could not fully fathom. If they were able to divine the locations of his vessels, they would strike immediately.

He had to act.

Across the continent, in a secret chamber inside a local clan’s patriarch residence, a hidden courtyard in the Heavenly Phoenix territory, a secluded cave near the Heavenly Dawn Academy’s borders, and three other remote locations, all seven of his bodies moved in perfect synchronization.

Through seven different throats, he spoke a single, unified command.

"Prepare to activate the Blood Sacrifice Arrays. Do it now."
