"I don’t know how strong you guys are, but even before that thing took his body, Lian was already a monster on his own." His tired smile disappeared.

"Now? I doubt you can even get close to him." he had never seen the others fight.

But he did not feel that he needed to see it to understand that they could not even compare to Lian, he had seen that man’s power.

Both when he saved him from the prison and during their journey to the Forgotten Tree, and that alone was enough for him to know that these people definitely could not fight him.

What he said was bad enough, but Seris added the next sentence.

"He isn’t alone."

"What do you mean?" Cassian immediately looked at her.

"He has five Cindari with him, you could call them walking corpses, their levels are from thirty-four to thirty-eight."

Their expressions changed, but Seris was not finished yet.

"Cindar Vael is with them too."

"The Founder?" Rindo frowned.

"Yeah."

"How? Wasn’t he supposed to be dead? How is he still alive?"

"I don’t know either." Unlike Lian, she did not know the truth and did not know how something that was supposed to be dead was still alive.

"At least you know his level, right?"

"He is Level 38."

Then Seris gave them a short explanation.

About the five walking corpses that had appeared beside the tree.

About how one of them was the same corpse of Cindar who was known as the Founder of the Cindari and should have been dead, but for reasons she did not know, he was still alive, at least in some way.

About how the other four had levels much higher than theirs, and how after the birth of the Black Silence, all of them had left the place together with Lian’s body.

When the explanation ended, the room became silent again for a short time, the news was bad, very, very bad, and the more they heard, the more they understood how bad the situation was.

"We can’t fight them." Marcus said simply.

No one disagreed, because there was nothing to disagree with.

During the siege of Vhalaris, they had already used almost all their forces just to hold back enemies weaker than those five.

The level difference was not just a number.

Physical strength, speed, mana, skills, ability to take hits, all of them grew with level.

Even having more people was not a guarantee, several of those present clearly looked hopeless, and they had every reason to feel that way.

What could they do against five beings who were at least 15 levels higher than all of them? If they tried very hard, maybe all of them could barely stop one of them.

But defeat one? Impossible.

Fight all five of them? It was not even possible in their dreams.

And besides those five, there was also a disaster with the power to destroy the world.

But Seris noticed one exception.

Seraphina, she was angry, she was worried, but she did not have that completely hopeless look, there was something in her mind, something she still did not want to share with the others.

Seris noticed it, but did not ask anything and Ethan finally broke the silence.

"I have a suggestion."

Everyone looked at him, hoping to hear a really good suggestion.

"Let’s ignore all of this, saving the world? Screw that, let’s find the Key and get out of this hell."

For several seconds, no one spoke, as if they were not sure whether he was joking or not and then, after making sure he was serious, they gave him meaningful looks.

"What? I’m just bringing up the options." Ethan raised his hands slightly.

"We don’t know where the Key is." Rindo said.

"Wasn’t it supposed to be near the Forgotten Tree?" Ethan asked in confusion and then looked at Seris.

"Didn’t you find anything there?"

"No." She thought for a few moments and then answered.

Now that she thought about it, according to normal logic, there should have been a Key at the most central point of the world, which meant the Forgotten Tree.

At least that was the normal standard, but there was nothing like that there.

"Great." Ethan let out a disappointed breath and Rindo moved closer to the large map on the table.

"In any case, we can’t ignore this situation, if we don’t stop the disaster, it will eventually find a way into our world."

"But how are we supposed to fight them?" Liana asked.

"You don’t need to fight the disaster, hold back the five Cindari, I’ll face Lian." This time Seris answered.

"Alone?" Rindo frowned.

"Yeah."

"Are you sure?"

"Do you have another way?" Seris slightly raised her healthy shoulder and then her tone became calmer.

"I’ve fought Lian once before, I can do it one more time." The truth was that she knew better than anyone how incomplete those words were.

The creature she had faced beside the tree was not just Lian, the strike that had thrown One dozens of meters away, the hand that had stopped Seris’s sword without using any skill.

The difference in power had not even allowed a real battle to begin.

She knew all of this, but she did not need to say it now.

"Let’s make one thing clear, we are not going to defeat those five, we simply can’t, even if we have more people, the level difference is too large." Rindo looked at her for several seconds and then said, and finally added.

"I don’t know how you and Lian fight enemies fifteen levels above you, but the rest of us don’t have that ability."

"At best, with numbers, suitable ground, traps and a few tricks, we can hold them back for a few minutes."

"Can I trust you that those few minutes will be enough?" He then asked directly.

"Enough." Seris did not hesitate even for a moment.

Rindo held her gaze for several seconds and then nodded.

"Then before that, everyone needs to become as strong as possible." He looked at the others.

"Most of us reached Level eighteen or nineteen after the siege, anyone who has not reached twenty yet must reach it tonight."

"We can also choose several groups from the strongest remaining Awakened." Cassian said.

"Only people who, if someone Level thirty-five appears in front of them, will at least not run away or die within a few seconds." Rindo agreed.

"That’s a very hopeful standard." Ethan said with a raised eyebrow.

"It’s a realistic standard." Marcus said.

Rindo turned back to the map, but after a few seconds Ethan spoke again.

"One more small problem."

"What is it this time?" Marcus asked tiredly.

"Where are we going to look for him?"

Everyone stopped, he was right, six days had passed, the Black Silence could have gone anywhere in this small world.

And they had no way to find or track it either, so where were they supposed to find it?

The silence continued for several seconds until Seris finally said.

"Maybe I know."

She opened the Main Quest panel, the familiar text appeared in front of her.

[Main Quest: Prevent the complete awakening of the Corrupted Titan.]

She looked at it for several seconds and then added.

"Our main goal was never to save the Forgotten Tree, even stopping the birth of that cocoon was not the main goal." She pointed at the main quest line with her finger.

"This was the goal from the beginning."

Rindo also opened his own panel, his eyes stayed on the same sentence.

Despite the death of the tree, despite the birth of the disaster, despite the fact that the cocoon no longer existed, the quest description had still not changed.

The Corrupted Titan.

Now that he thought about it, it was strange, because in a way they should have failed the Quest after the disaster was released.

But no such announcement had appeared and the Main Quest still existed, and that could only mean one thing.

"So it’s not over yet." Rindo said quietly.

Seris nodded.

"That’s right." Then she said what she had been thinking about during the entire journey.

"I think part of the Black Silence is still inside the Titan."

"If that is true, then the thing that took Lian’s body is not complete." The Student Council President also thought for a moment.
