I Can Level Up Infinitely

Chapter 229: Martial Grandmaster Realm

Sylus stood in a daze for a moment before snapping. "How dare you? Do you think you have what it takes to order me?" He raised his hand, palm facing toward Emily. "Do you think even your father has what it takes to order me? I was merely giving you an opportunity to help me with a minor task, and in return I was willing to help your family with a task. But you don’t deserve that."

Zzzzzzzzzzz!

A lightning bolt shot toward Emily. Emily tried to dodge, but how could her speed compete with someone at the Disaster Class level?

The lightning bolt struck the sword as she raised it like a shield. The impact was so powerful, driven by Sylus’s rage, that she was sent flying through the air like a cannonball. Lightning crackled along her body. She felt her hand going numb from the blow.

But she flipped in the air and landed on the ground.

Sol quickly brought out his phone and dialed a number.

"Father. It’s bad. Come here quickly to the mountaintop beside the Red Horn’s Nest."

"What did you do this time, Sol?" From the other side of the phone, a mature voice could be heard that carried the wisdom of experience.

"It isn’t me. It’s Emily. She is fighting Sylus Moure. And if you don’t come here in time, something serious may happen to her."

Bammm!

A screeching sound of a chair could be heard, followed by a loud bang. "When did she become careless like you, too? Wasn’t I clear enough that your only task is to observe? And only if there is no risk, even the slightest bit, then you can try to collect the pill. Then, why in the hell did she end up fighting Sylus Moure of all people?"

"Father, it’s a long story. But please. Come quickly. Or she might seriously get injured. Or she might even..." Sol couldn’t finish.

"Wait for me. I am coming." The voice from the other side said.

"Take the sonic jet, or you won’t make it in time."

"I KNOW...." The person said through gritted teeth before the line went dead.

Though Sol had already informed his father, his face turned pale the moment he turned back. Sylus had appeared before Emily and driven his knee into her stomach.

Emily’s body rose in the air before she was sent flying again. This time, blood trailed after her. But she again flipped in the air and landed on the ground. Without the slightest bit of hesitation, she shot forward brandishing the frost sword.

Whooosh!

Whooosh!

The blade cut through the air again and again. Her hand, ablaze, also moved back and forth, delivering continuous punches.

But Sylus was dodging all of them leisurely.

"She also seems to know Leon Bale. Should we capture her? No matter how strong, Sylus Moure won’t be able to keep both of them hostage and fight us at the same time." Chen suddenly suggested. Their group was watching the drama from a distance.

"We will. But not now. Let them fight first. Once Emily Flemming loses, she won’t be able to fight anymore. At that time, we can attack Sylus Moure and take any of those two girls as a hostage." The leader from the Demon Slayer clan said.

"Alright. The plan is good. But what if the one we capture is less valuable than the other, and when this Leon Bale guy comes out, he wants to trade the pill for the one with Sylus?" Amber asked.

"Then we should find an opportunity to attack Sylus when he’s vulnerable. The problem will be solved." The leader said, her gaze still fixated on the fight, or more precisely, one-sided dominance.

Meanwhile, far away in a different world, the same as Aurelia’s, but in a different place, a middle-aged man was seated at a table, going through some documents.

Knock! Knock!

"Who is it?"

"Sire, it’s me. Mahadi."

"Come in."

A young man pushed open the door and entered hurriedly. "Sire, we have finally found someone with Zenekian blood."

The documents fell from the middle-aged person’s hand. "Where?" He snapped while abruptly standing up.

"The person is on Earth."

"You mean the detached heaven?"

"Yes."

"No problem. Prepare the gate. And tell six fourth-circle Grand Mages to be ready."

"Six fourth-circle Grand Mages? Sire, isn’t that a bit overkill?"

"Do as I say. I don’t want any risk."

"Right, Sire." The young man bowed and quickly left.

"Finally." The middle-aged man whispered in a trembling voice. "I can form an Astral Heart from the seventh layer of the Astral River, or maybe even beyond.

Hahahhahahah." He burst into laughter.

Back inside the volcano...

One week had passed since Leon had figured out how to condense his Qi.

At the moment, only a single core lay before him. Even the raging fire had vanished, totally absorbed by Leon. Millions of cores he had earned after killing countless opponents during his tests... All had vanished.

Leon had been achieving breakthrough after breakthrough over the last seven days. And he had condensed his Qi to the maximum limit as well.

At this moment, all three of his dantians had grown in size, and all were filled with liquid Qi. A razor-sharp aura radiated from Leon as he sat there calmly.

Leon picked up the final core before him and swallowed.

Gulp!

Instantly, an explosion occurred, a wave of energy erupting outward. The whole volcano shook violently.

[Congratulations, Host. You have absorbed enough Qi and condensed it to the maximum to achieve a breakthrough.]

[You have reached the second level of Martial Grandmaster realm.]

Leon opened his eyes at the notification, a smile spreading across his face. "Second level of Martial Grandmaster realm. Didn’t think I would reach this level this fast. I am glad I followed that person and thereby entered the volcano."

"Congratulations, Master. You successfully formed three dantians, reformed your meridians, and also condensed your Qi. You can leave, Master. We will soon meet again."

"You aren’t coming?" Leon asked.

"I can’t at the moment."

"And you can’t say why either, right?" Leon asked.

The demon smiled helplessly at that.

"Farewell then. And thanks for everything."

The demon nodded, longing clear in his eyes. Leon could tell that the demon wanted to leave with him. But for some unknown reason, it couldn’t at the moment.

Leon waved goodbye and reached the location right below the volcano opening.

He raised his head and looked above. The open sky could be seen. He then bent slightly, his knees buckling.

And then...

Crack!

He jumped...
