Under everyone’s gaze, Sylus struck Emily again. His fist buried in her stomach as she was hurled backward, blood spraying in the air.

"Spencer. Let’s help her." Saying that, Sol rushed toward Emily. But Spencer was rooted to his spot. He had no intention of engaging in a losing battle.

Sol appeared before Emily and raised his hand. "Sol, what are you doing? Leave. You won’t be able to withstand a single blow." Emily said hurriedly.

"I know. But do you think you will be able to? How come you acted so stupidly, Sis? It’s my first time seeing you like this. Big bro is already inside the volcano. We could have easily informed Father first and then waited. But you had to challenge Sylus Moure and everyone else present here. Look what situation we are in now." He said in a frustrated voice.

"That’s..." She started but couldn’t find any words to defend herself. Because she, too, just realized now that she had acted too impulsively.

"Ice domain," Sol shouted.

Instantly, jagged spikes of ice erupted from the ground where Sylus was standing. But before they could even reach him...

Zzzzzz!

Lightning crackled around his body. The moment those icy spikes came into contact with the white-blue arcs of energy, they shattered.

Then, before Sol could even react, Sylus appeared before him like a phantom and delivered a kick.

Boooom!

Sol was sent flying, a trail of blood spraying behind him.

"No..." Emily shouted and tried to stand, but Sylus didn’t give her the chance.

Booooom!

Another kick came as Emily was trying to stand. Emily was sent flying once more. Her blood churned violently inside her body.

"How pathetic. With this much strength, how could you even dare to act so high and mighty in front of me?"

In the distance, Chen, Amber, and the elder watched the fight without bothering to interfere even a bit. They were waiting. Waiting for an opportunity to attack Sylus.

Snow’s uncle... He too was silently waiting for an opportunity to rescue Snow. At the moment, he could only watch as Sylus dragged Snow everywhere like an object.

Snow could only endure the pain. She was at least in better condition than Emily, who lay sprawled on the ground at the moment.

Sylus slowly walked toward Emily. Emily tried to lift her body, but the pain overwhelmed her.

"Fuck." Sol cursed. "Father, please come first. Spencer..... What the fuck are you doing just standing there?" Sol roared at Spencer.

But Spencer didn’t move. Not even an inch.

Sylus stopped before Emily, his shadow looming over her.

"Youngstars nowadays. Don’t know when to act smug and when to act humble. Then let me teach you in your father’s stead."

Emily watched helplessly as Sylus raised his leg, ready to stomp on her. Emily’s mana surged as a fireball materialized in her hand. She couldn’t move but still had some strength left to unleash a magic attack.

"Hmph." Sylus sneered. "Useless effort." And then, he brought his leg down. Almost...

Just as his foot was about to land on Emily...

Whoooosh!

Something streaked through the air in the distance. In the same direction as the Red Horn’s Nest.

The next moment, a figure could be seen in the air, the corners of his clothes billowing.

The figure’s gaze swept over the whole mountaintop before landing on Emily. And the moment it did, the figure’s jaws clenched slightly.

The figure then descended and landed on the ground, a gentle breeze erupting outward.

Snow’s tensed expression relaxed a bit.

Spencer frowned.

Hazel and Wren immediately turned toward the figure that had just arrived, their mouths falling open.

"Big bro?" Sol muttered in disbelief.

The figure was none other than Leon Bale. The very same person everyone had been waiting for. Waiting to snatch the Blood Dantian Pill from.

Sylus’s leg stopped only a hair’s breadth away from slamming into Emily’s chest. He, too, could feel the presence. The presence that was calm yet capable of sending chills down the spine.

"Emily? Sol? What are you guys doing here?" Leon asked with a dumbfounded expression as he walked toward them. Then his eyes fell on Snow’s pathetic condition. "You are here, too?"

"Leon, run. They are after the Blood Dantian Pill. They won’t even hesitate to kill you." Emily shouted hurriedly. She looked worried.

Sol’s face turned ugly as well. ’Father! How long are you going to take?’

"Oh?" Leon only uttered one word as he started walking toward Sylus. His pace was unhurried. Expression unreadable. Eyes confident. But his presence... It was unmistakable. As if the king of the jungle had appeared in human skin.

"You should let them go first." Leon’s eyes locked on Sylus. He stopped five meters away from them. "I am the one you are after, right? I have the Blood Dantian Pill."

Sylus retracted his leg and turned fully toward Leon. He stared at him for a few seconds, trying to gauge his power. He tried to unravel the feeling that was screaming in his heart not to mess with this person. Yet no matter how hard he tried, Leon didn’t seem anything other than ordinary.

Sylus then slowly raised his hand, palm stretched straight. "The pill." He said, focusing on Leon.

"I think you couldn’t hear me the first time. So let me say it one more time." Leon said in a calm voice.

"Big bro. What the hell are you doing? Run." Sol was panicking as well.

But Leon didn’t look at him. His eyes were fixated on Sylus.

The elder from the Demon Slayer clan could easily see through Leon’s cultivation base. She could tell Leon was at the second level of the Martial Grandmaster realm. She was shocked to realize that. After all, Leon was too young and from outside the Summitas Valley. But she felt something was off. Even if Leon was at the second level of the Martial Grandmaster realm, he wasn’t supposed to be this calm in front of a being like Sylus Moure. Was he being overconfident? Or did he have no knowledge of realms and levels?

"Let them go." Leon’s voice echoed through the pin-drop silence.

Sylus stood there for a moment before his fist shot out. "What an unlucky day. I’m meeting all cocky braindeads today." He said while expecting Leon’s body to be sent flying.

His fist cut through the air, lightning crackling along the surface.

But then something happened. Something nobody present there could imagine even in their wildest fantasy.

Leon raised his left index finger. Only one finger.

The fist slammed against it. And then...

It stopped. It totally stopped as if it had hit a brick wall.

A complete silence spread.
