Bammmm!
A metal-like fist slammed into Nolan’s chest.
Crack! A bone-shattering sound echoed as Nolan’s feet left the ground. His body bent like an arched bow before he was sent flying. The speed at which he was sent flying was so fast that his body tore through the air, a ring of condensed air trailing behind him.
Boooooooooom! His body cratered into a building before it was totally destroyed, shattered pieces erupting like an explosion.
Boooooooooom! Another building collapsed.
Booooooooooom! Then another.
"SIS!!!!!!" Nadeem roared before bolting toward Nolan.
The red figure bent his middle finger and stopped it with his thumb. Raising his hand, he flicked.
A violent gust of wind shot toward Nadeem and then....
Booooooooom!
The gust of wind struck him like an invisible meteor. His body too was sent flying, shattering one building after another.
In just two moves, both of them were down.
After seven buildings collapsed, Nolan’s momentum finally reduced as he cratered into a building. This time, the building shook, but it didn’t collapse.
Nolan’s body slid down like a wet cloth. Something shattered like glass in his throat. Instantly, his short hair grew to chest level. His facial features changed. His eyes became feminine. The ruggedness in his face reduced, and his skin became smooth. His waist thinned. His legs became more slender.
The whole person changed. Instead of Nolan, a gorgeous-looking lady lay sprawled there. And it was none other than Emily. Emily Flemming.
Nadeem’s body also came to a stop. Something shattered in his throat as well. His body also underwent a great change. Though, unlike Nolan, he didn’t become a woman, he turned into someone else entirely.
Sol. He changed into Sol Flemming.
The red figure narrowed his eyes as he looked at Nolan, who was actually Emily. "What a waste of time." He spat. "This one was a girl to begin with." He raised his hand again. "You are not the one I am looking for. But as you have successfully wasted my time, I should give you a reward." The moment he finished speaking, blood swirled in the air, forming a crimson sphere. The sphere was rotating so fast that the space distorted a little.
And then...
Whooooooooosh!
The angry sphere bolted forward as the red figure let go.
The air howled as it shot toward Emily. Emily’s face paled. She wanted to move, but her body wouldn’t budge. She had no strength left.
Throwing the sphere, the red figure turned to leave with a sour mood. He waved his hand toward the building where the other three red figures were standing, signaling that what they were looking for wasn’t here.
He leaned forward, ready to move. But then...
He stopped.
Thuuuuuuuuud!
A dull sound echoed. The red figure instantly turned around, only to see the crimson ball form earlier closing in on him.
And then...
Boooooooom!
The crimson sphere struck him with an explosion. He was blasted away, blood spraying in the air.
Boooooom! One building collapsed.
Booooom! Another one.
One after another, fifteen buildings collapsed in a row.
The red figure finally regained control over his body and flipped in the air. His eyes snapped toward Emily. He wanted to see how that dying girl actually deflected the attack toward him.
But then... His eyes narrowed. His heart skipped a bit.
A lone figure stood before Emily. He was wearing black trousers. His grey tunic clung to his body, soaked in sweat. The corners of the long coat he was wearing billowed in the air.
A great sword rested in his hand. The blade looked old, uneven edge at some places. Crimson markings lay like blood veins along the surface. A hum radiated in the air from it.
The figure was none but Leon. He was looking at the red figure, his brows furrowed. ’This one is a demon, right?’ He wondered. He looked a bit confused because, though the figure had red skin like demons, it didn’t have that grotesque look and eerie horns.
’Logan.’ Meanwhile, the red figure still looked at Leon. Then finally, the corner of his lips curved into a smile. "Finally found you...
Logan." His voice wasn’t loud, but it reached Leon’s ears without any problem.
Whoooooosh!
Whoooooosh!
Whoooooosh!
The other three who had been standing on the highest building till now also appeared. All their eyes were locked on Leon. Then they fell to the sword Leon was carrying.
"Logan? Who are you all?" Leon asked.
"Hmph." The red figure standing at the front sneered. "Trying to act ignorant? Didn’t think you would stoop to this low. But that trick wouldn’t work, Logan. Today...
You are going to die."
Saying that, he shot forward, closing in on Leon at lightning speed. The other three didn’t move. They could already see through Leon’s present cultivation realm with ease. They didn’t consider ganging up on him with his current level of strength because that would shame their existence.
The red figure who was charging toward Leon, his fingers morphed into claws. Stopping before Leon, the figure slashed his claws, aiming to sever Leon’s hand that was carrying the Demon Sword at the shoulder joint.
Leon’s face paled. He didn’t have any time to react. But even if he had the time, he knew he wouldn’t be able to defend against the incoming attack.
But just before the claws could rake Leon’s body, a tiny snowball appeared before Leon. It continued growing until it turned into a huge frost sphere and blasted.
The red figure was pushed back. Leon was sent skidding through the ground as well. Another figure materialized out of thin air, her silver hair billowing in the air. Her green eyes were locked on the red figure. Her face looked so cold that it sent a chill down the red figure’s spine.
"Y-you! You are here already?" The red figure staggered back while stammering.
"You have some nerve, Velmor, trying to hurt my Master and covet his sword."
"Don’t think you can defeat all of us on your own, Princess Lamia. So what if you are one of the ten legendary divine beasts? We four demon generals came today."
"Hmph." Lamia snorted. "I alone may not be enough. But what about her? She is here, too."
"She? Who?"
Lamia didn’t answer.
But Leon suddenly felt a vibration within him. And the next moment, the Raging Inferno’s Wings flew out of the system panel, each hovering on both sides of Leon.
