The moment Logan entered the room, the scenes blurred before Leon, as if he were watching everything in fast-forward mode. And when it became normal again, Logan was standing outside the mansion.

Before him, Princess Lilith and Mercer stood before a middle-aged man who was wearing a cream-colored robe with golden emblems on his shoulders. He was wearing a crown, too.

This person was none other than the king himself. Two people stood beside him, a man and a woman.

The female looked to be the same age as the King, but she looked polished. There were no wrinkles on her face. Her smile was bright. At the moment, she was speaking with Lilith. "Lilith, my darling. Be careful out there."

"I will, mother," Lilith said.

"Also, if you face any prob...." She wanted to say more when the King cut her off.

"You are treating her like a kid. She is the future heiress. If she faces any problem, she must solve it on her own." The King said sternly. He then looked at Mercer. "Mercer, are you sure you can really do it? If you go there and fail, the reputation of the palace will go down."

"We will try our best, Your Highness," Mercer said while bowing his head.

"We don’t want your best. We want results, and it definitely should be positive." Finally, the man beside the King spoke. It was none other than the King’s older brother, Jeremiah Hale’s father.

Logan watched everything unfold with his head slightly bowed. He was warned several times to show proper respect before the King.

Soon the King left with his wife and older brother. Princess Lilith and Mercer turned. Looking at Logan, Mercer heaved a sigh of relief. "Let’s move."

Two carriages were waiting outside the mansion. Other than the two coachmen, five more knights were present. All were exuding a powerful aura.

Mercer, Logan, and Princess Lilith boarded the second carriage, while the others boarded the first one. Soon, the journey started as the magical beasts with the carriages galloped forward.

Inside the carriage, the tone shifted again. Princess Lilith started addressing Mercer respectfully. Mercer and Logan sat on one side while Princess Lilith sat on the opposite.

As the journey continued, Mercer suddenly noticed something moving beneath Lilith’s seat.

Mercer quickly crouched down and moved the cover, only to find a little figure trying to hide inside it. Mercer froze. "Spade? What in God’s name are you doing here?"

"Haha, Papa. You said you would bring me along today to eat fresh Baklava. You didn’t forget, did you?"

"You!" Mercer almost choked.

Lilith couldn’t help but burst into laughter hearing his innocent voice. Logan’s lips also curved into a smile. It was subtle, almost unnoticeable... But it was there.

"Ryker. Take the carriage back to the palace immediately." Mercer quickly ordered the coachman.

"No, Papa. I am going with you today. Please..." He said, making a pleading expression.

"Not today, Spade. We may meet bad people along the way, and they will try to take your Baklava by force. You surely wouldn’t want that, would you?"

"Then you scold those bad people, Papa. They won’t want to take it anymore."

"Let him stay." Princess Lilith said. "We have five Celestial Soul realm cultivators. You are here as well. I don’t think any accident will happen. And Logan is the one who will try to enter the Thunder Valley."

"Alright," Mercer said helplessly.

"Come, Spade." Princess Lilith said to Spade.

Spade got out from underneath the seat and sat beside Lilith. They both started gossiping.

Nothing happened later on. At night, the group set up a temporary camp to rest before resuming the journey.

The journey was taking a long time, not because the carriages were slow. They were fast even compared to sports cars on Earth. But the distance was just too much. The journey continued like this, and finally, on the fourth day, at noon, the carriages stopped.

"We are here," Mercer said.

One of the knights walked forward and opened the carriage door for everyone. All of them slowly got down.

Far in the distance, a mountain region could be seen. Black clouds covered the whole area. It was so dense that daylight seemed unable to penetrate them.

Zzzzzzzzz!

Lightning crackled.

BOOOOOOOM!

Thunder roared.

"You have to go ahead on your own from here," Mercer said. "You see that tallest mountain at the center there?" Mercer asked, pointing toward the mountain region.

Logan nodded.

"That’s where the Thunder Ghost is. Best of luck."

Logan started walking toward the mountain region without any hesitation.

"Papa. Where’s Uncle going?" Spade asked.

"Your uncle has some important work to do there."

"Important? Is Uncle going to bring more of those cakes from there?"

Mercer didn’t reply. His focus was on Logan’s retreating back. ’Can he really do it?’ He wondered.

But Logan couldn’t even take more than twenty steps when...

Booooooom!

A loud explosion erupted where Mercer, Lilith, and Spade were standing. They had reacted swiftly, and no one was hurt.

The five knights surrounded them like shields. Logan also stopped and started running back.

Two figures burst out from the ground. Orcs.

Whoooooosh!

Meanwhile, a whistling sound echoed in the air as a huge monstrous creature came flying from the distance.

Its enormous wings stretched wide, each flap sending violent gusts rippling through the air. Dark scales covered its massive body, while two curved horns protruded from its head. Its long, muscular tail whipped behind it. Its eyes stared down from the sky.

A dragon. And on its back, there were multiple humans. All were carrying weapons. Some swords, some axes. All were radiating killing intent.

"Papa." Spade wrapped his hands around Mercer’s leg. "Are they bad people?"

Mercer didn’t reply. His eyes were darkened.

Lilith’s expression was cold too.

As the dragon arrived and hovered over their heads, the figures standing on the dragon jumped.

Thud!

Thud!

Thud!

All of them surrounded Mercer and everyone.
