Location: Liebus Agency

Place: Anaya City

Fiona walked briskly through the headquarters, her footsteps echoing across the long metallic corridors. Although the emergency sirens continued blaring throughout the building, her expression remained composed. Inside, however, her mind was racing. Every second the alarm remained active increased the chances of another captain reaching the training hall.

If that happened...

Everything would fall apart.

Without slowing down, Fiona reached for the communication device attached to her shoulder. Her fingers pressed the transmit button as she switched to the agency’s command frequency.

"Command Center, this is Captain Phoenix reporting."

The line connected almost instantly.

A calm female voice answered from the other side.

"This is Command Center."

"Good afternoon, Captain Phoenix."

"How may we assist you?"

Fiona took a slow breath before replying.

"I need to clarify the Humanity-Level Threat report."

Her tone remained steady despite the urgency hidden beneath it.

"The emergency alarm currently active throughout headquarters was triggered by a false detection."

"I request immediate verification before additional combat units are deployed."

The operator remained silent for several seconds.

The sound of keyboards echoed faintly through the communication channel before the woman finally responded.

"Captain Phoenix..."

"According to our current records, five members of the Memory Dispatch Unit independently reported the appearance of an unidentified individual."

She paused briefly before continuing.

"In addition, the Aura Detection System confirmed the presence of an unknown lifeform inside agency headquarters."

"The combination of those reports automatically activated the Humanity-Level Threat Protocol."

"I’m afraid we cannot simply dismiss the alert without sufficient evidence."

Fiona had expected exactly that response.

She continued walking while calmly organizing her next words.

"I understand the protocol."

"I’m not asking Command Center to ignore procedure."

"I’m asking you to verify the evidence."

She stopped beside one of the observation windows overlooking the lower floors, watching dozens of soldiers rushing through the corridors below.

"I believe the Aura Detection System experienced a technical error."

"As for the eyewitness accounts..."

"I believe they misidentified what they saw."

The operator didn’t immediately answer.

Fiona continued before another question could interrupt her.

"I recommend reviewing every security camera covering the fifth-floor corridor."

"If there truly was an intruder..."

"The footage will confirm it."

A faint smile appeared on Fiona’s face.

Unlike her confident tone, that smile came from certainty.

Long before bringing Erza into the headquarters, Fiona had already prepared for exactly this situation.

One of the agency’s classified devices rested quietly inside her pocket.

Its purpose was simple.

To distort nearby surveillance systems.

Anyone standing within its range could still be seen by human eyes...

But electronic cameras would record nothing.

The young women had genuinely seen Erza.

The Aura Detection System had genuinely sensed her.

But the cameras...

Would capture only empty hallways.

It was a safeguard Fiona had prepared long ago, never imagining she would one day use it to hide the Queen of Atlantis herself.

Several long moments passed before the operator spoke again.

"...Understood, Captain Phoenix."

"We will immediately review the surveillance recordings and compare them with the eyewitness reports."

Another pause followed.

Then the operator continued.

"Until the investigation is completed..."

"The emergency alarm will be temporarily suspended."

Almost immediately, the deafening sirens echoing throughout the headquarters fell silent.

The flashing red emergency lights faded back to their normal white glow, and the tense atmosphere gripping the agency noticeably eased. Across every floor, soldiers slowed their advance as new orders arrived through their communicators, instructing them to halt their search until further notice.

Fiona quietly closed her eyes.

A long breath escaped her lips.

Relief washed over her, though only for a moment.

Her plan had worked.

The surveillance recordings would show nothing.

That alone would create enough uncertainty to stop the agency from launching a full-scale lockdown.

But Fiona understood better than anyone...

She hadn’t solved the problem.

She had merely bought herself a little more time.

And now...

She had to reach Sara before that borrowed time ran out.

Fiona continued deeper into the headquarters, leaving behind the bustling corridors filled with soldiers and officers. The further she walked, the quieter the agency became. The footsteps of patrols gradually disappeared, conversations faded into silence, and the atmosphere itself seemed to grow heavier. It was as though this part of the headquarters had been separated from the rest of the world.

After several minutes, she finally reached the innermost section of the agency.

This corridor was unlike any other.

It wasn’t merely a restricted area it was the most heavily protected place in the entire Liebus Agency. Every wall contained layers of magical barriers hidden beneath reinforced steel, while countless detection spells silently watched over the passage. Although no guards stood outside, everyone in the agency understood that entering this place without permission was impossible.

Only two people possessed the authority to walk through this corridor freely.

The first was the Holy Saint, the legendary woman whose sacred arts had purified countless demons throughout history and whose spiritual authority rivaled entire armies.

The second...

Was Captain Fiona.

Even the other captains stopped at the entrance. No matter their rank or achievements, none of them had permission to step beyond this point unless Sara herself granted it.

Fiona quietly walked toward the end of the corridor until she stopped before a single wooden door.

Unlike the advanced military architecture surrounding it, the door looked painfully ordinary. It was made of aged wood, worn by time, with no electronic lock, no reinforced metal, and no symbol of authority carved upon it. To an outsider, it would have looked like the entrance to a poor villager’s home rather than the private chamber of humanity’s strongest protector.

Yet Fiona knew the truth.

Behind that simple wooden door...

Was Sara’s world.

It wasn’t an office.

It wasn’t a command room.

It wasn’t even a bedroom.

It was...

Anaya’s home.

Seven hundred years had passed since the tragedy of Greymoor Village, yet Sara had refused to let a single memory disappear. Every plank of wood, every piece of furniture, every handmade chair, every clay cup, and every worn blanket had been preserved exactly as they had existed on that day.

Even the smallest details remained untouched.

The little wooden shelf.

The cracked dining table.

The old curtains hanging beside the window.

The tiny toys Anaya had once played with.

Nothing had been replaced.

Nothing had been modernized.

Nothing had been forgotten.

Sara had rebuilt the entire house inside the agency exactly as it had stood seven centuries ago, preserving every corner with obsessive care. It was the only place where time had never moved forward.

To the rest of humanity...

Sara was the founder of the Liebus Agency.

The woman who had led mankind through centuries of darkness.

But inside that room...

She wasn’t humanity’s savior.

She had remained exactly where history left her.

She was simply an older sister who had never stopped waiting for her little sister to come home.

Fiona stood silently before the wooden door, her hand resting at her side.

She had entered this room many times over the years, but today felt different. Behind that door waited the only person capable of answering Erza’s questions, and Fiona knew those answers carried seven hundred years of grief.

She slowly inhaled, trying to calm the uneasiness growing inside her chest.

Then, after gathering her courage, she raised her hand toward the wooden door, ready to tell Sara that the Queen of Atlantis had come seeking the truth and destory demonic world forever.

(Yuuta’s Unknown Past)

The shadow slowly extended one hand toward Yuuta.

Its crimson eyes glowed softly within the endless darkness. There was no hostility inside those eyes. No hatred. No desire to harm him. Instead, they carried an indescribable warmth that made Yuuta’s heart ache for reasons he couldn’t understand.

When the figure finally spoke, its voice echoed gently through the endless void.

"Come..."

"...Return to where you belong."

The figure never moved another step.

It simply waited with its hand stretched toward him, as though it had already waited countless years for this very moment.

"Take back..."

"...what has always been yours."

The crimson eyes softened even further before the shadow whispered one final sentence.

"...Come home, forgotten soul."

"...Know yourself."

"...Remember who we are."

Yuuta’s breathing became uneven.

Without realizing it, his trembling hand slowly began reaching toward the shadow. It wasn’t because he trusted the mysterious figure standing before him. It wasn’t because he understood its words. Something far deeper than reason was pulling him forward.

His soul...

Recognized it.

Even if his memories did not.

For the first time in his life, Yuuta felt as though someone still remembered who he truly was.

His fingertips slowly moved closer.

Closer.

Only a small distance remained between their hands.

Then...

Yuuta suddenly stopped.

Not because his trust disappeared.

But because something far more terrifying reached him first.

The closer he came to the shadow, the more emotions poured into him. They didn’t belong to him, yet they flooded his heart as though they had always been there, buried beneath countless forgotten years.

Rage.

Envy.

Hatred.

Endless suffering.

An overwhelming desire for revenge.

Every emotion crashed into him like an endless ocean, threatening to swallow his very existence. Yet above all of them, one emotion stood above the rest.

Sorrow.

Not ordinary sadness.

Not grief.

This was the sorrow of someone who had lost absolutely everything.

A homeland.

A family.

A future.

An entire life.

The pain was so immense that Yuuta instinctively staggered backward. Cold sweat covered his body as his heartbeat became painfully erratic. He could barely breathe beneath the crushing weight pressing against his chest.

"W-What..."

"...What is this...?"

His voice trembled uncontrollably.

The suffering wasn’t his.

He knew that.

And yet...

It felt more real than anything he had ever experienced.

His instincts screamed at him.

If you touch that hand...

Nothing will ever be the same again.

His arm suddenly moved forward again.

"N-No..."

Yuuta’s eyes widened.

His own body had ignored him.

His fingers continued reaching toward the shadow despite every command his mind gave.

"Stop..."

He grabbed his own wrist with his other hand, desperately trying to pull it back.

His muscles trembled violently.

Veins bulged across his arm as he fought against an invisible force dragging him closer and closer.

"Stop..."

His voice cracked.

"Please..."

"Stop..."

His hand continued moving.

"No..."

"No..."

"STOP!"

"STOP IT!"

Yuuta screamed with every ounce of strength inside him, his voice shaking the endless darkness around him.

Far away, inside the quiet garden of his apartment, Isvarn remained seated before Yuuta’s motionless body. The ancient dragon continued guiding his consciousness through the Soul Realm, carefully observing every fluctuation within Yuuta’s aura.

Then...

Isvarn’s violet eyes suddenly narrowed.

An overwhelming presence stirred from somewhere deep inside Yuuta’s soul.

It wasn’t dragon aura.

It wasn’t human.

It wasn’t anything Isvarn had felt before.

The ancient energy slumbering beneath countless seals slowly began to awaken, causing even the surrounding air to become unnaturally heavy. Yuuta’s body trembled violently despite remaining in perfect meditation, while invisible waves of power quietly leaked from his soul.

For a long moment, Isvarn simply watched.

Then...

A slow smile appeared across the old dragon’s face.

"So..."

"My instincts were right after all."

His eyes remained fixed on Yuuta as excitement slowly replaced the calm expression he had carried until now.

"The beast..."

"...is finally beginning to awaken."

The countless seals hidden within Yuuta’s soul had finally begun to crack.

And once the forgotten existence sleeping inside him opened its eyes...

The boy who believed himself to be an ordinary human...

Was about to awaken to a truth no one could ever hide again.

To be contiuned...
