Drunk and stumbling along the road, Chen Changsheng swayed with every step, completely unable to tell north from south.

From the shadows, a figure watched him intently.

"It's never too late for a gentleman to take his revenge!"

"Hmph. I finally caught my chance."

The figure shadowed him closely until the intoxicated Chen Changsheng wandered into a secluded spot.

Letting out a long breath, Chen Changsheng flopped down directly beneath a tree and promptly began to snore.

Hiding behind a nearby tree, the man observed him for a long time.

Only after tossing a few pebbles to test him and seeing absolutely no reaction did he finally dare to step out.

He strode right up to Chen Changsheng, a wicked smirk curling on his lips.

When Chen Changsheng woke, he found himself securely bound hand and foot.

The rope binding him was no ordinary cord; it was a Dharma Instrument. The more he struggled, the tighter it would constrict, and it even had the power to suppress a cultivator's Magical Power.

Chen Changsheng paid it little mind. He let out a yawn and glanced around, finding himself inside a dilapidated temple. A fire crackled nearby, and the ground was littered with gnawed bones.

"Yo."

A voice rang out.

Chen Changsheng turned his head and saw a man sitting cross-legged in front of the fire, holding the remains of a half-eaten roast chicken.

Looking at the man, a smile surfaced on Chen Changsheng's face.

"It's you."

Wei Shiyu stared back at him and scoffed coldly. "Surprised?" he gloated. "Bet you never expected to fall into my hands."

Yet Chen Changsheng didn't show a hint of panic. Yawning, he said, "This Chen hasn't slept enough. I'm going back to sleep."

With that, he closed his eyes once more.

"Sleep my ass! Who said you could sleep!"

Wei Shiyu cursed aloud, only to immediately hear the faint sound of snoring.

Furious, Wei Shiyu hurled his half-eaten roast chicken to the ground.

He stormed over and shook Chen Changsheng, but the man didn't react in the slightest, dead to the world.

"Motherfucker!"

Wei Shiyu cursed and shook him as hard as he could, but Chen Changsheng still gave no response.

This was incredibly frustrating.

For a moment, he even began to doubt the reality of the situation.

Just who was the one tied up here?!

He had bided his time for so long, even traveling to an Immortal Mountain to beg for an Immortal-Binding Rope, all for this very day. Yet now, this man couldn't care less.

"If you don't wake up right now, I'm going to kill you!"

"I'll kill you!"

"I'm drawing my Sword!!"

Wei Shiyu shouted, "I'm really going to kill you!"

Threat after threat flew from his mouth, but he never actually made a move.

Helpless, he finally lowered his Sword, delivered a swift kick to Chen Changsheng, and went back to his seat.

He glanced at the half-eaten roast chicken on the dirt, picked it back up, wiped it off, and resumed eating.

He chewed aggressively, seemingly fuming with rage.

By the time Chen Changsheng woke up, night had fallen.

Wei Shiyu had nodded off, his head propped on his hand. Although he possessed some Dao Cultivation, trailing Chen Changsheng for nearly half a month without sleep had taken its toll. Exhaustion had caught up with him, and he had drifted off.

Seeing him fast asleep, Chen Changsheng called out, "Yo!"

Startled, Wei Shiyu jerked awake. His eyes were still glazed over, his mind cloudy from the interrupted sleep.

"Having a nap?" Chen Changsheng asked.

Wei Shiyu gasped for breath. Glaring at the bound Chen Changsheng, he snapped, "Are you sick in the head?! When I'm awake, you won't sleep, but the moment I fall asleep, you wake up? You're doing this on purpose, aren't you!"

Chen Changsheng shook his head. "Just a coincidence."

"Then why did you yell?"

"To wake you up so you could go back to sleep properly."

Furious, Wei Shiyu drew his Sword and pressed the blade against Chen Changsheng's neck.

"I'm going to butcher you right now!"

Chen Changsheng glanced sideways at the Sword and simply said, "Oh."

Wei Shiyu's mouth twitched. He kicked Chen Changsheng.

"Show a little reaction."

"Oh."

"..."

Gritting his teeth, Wei Shiyu snarled, "Back then, you set me up and caused me to be chased for nearly a thousand li! My legs practically smoked from running, and it was all because of you! Do you have no idea what situation you're in right now?! Your life is in my hands! Hmph, don't even waste your breath. That rope on you is the Immortal-Binding Rope that I went through absolute hell to procure from an Immortal Mountain. No matter what you do, you'll never break free."

Chen Changsheng just looked at him and let out another yawn.

"This Chen is sleepy."

"Sleepy my fucking ass!!"

But Chen Changsheng couldn't be bothered. He dropped his head and fell right to sleep.

Wei Shiyu hurried forward and grabbed Chen Changsheng by the throat.

"Don't you go to sleep!!"

"I said no sleeping!"

"Fuck your mother! Don't sleep!"

Yet the result was exactly the same. No matter what, he couldn't be woken.

Struck by a profound sense of defeat, Wei Shiyu sat on the ground and began to question his life.

"Sigh..."

Heaving a long sigh, Wei Shiyu casually tossed his Sword onto the ground.

Just what kind of bullshit was this?

The prisoner was acting like the boss.

Wei Shiyu couldn't wrap his head around it. Soon, sleepiness washed over him again. He yawned, initially wanting to hold out a little longer, but unexpectedly just lay down and fell fast asleep.

"Yo!"

A voice rang out.

Wei Shiyu jolted awake once again.

Turning his head, he saw a smiling face staring at him through the darkness.

"Motherfucker!!"

In the night, the birds in the forest were all startled awake.

One could only imagine the sheer resentment packed into that curse.

Chen Changsheng was tied to a tree outside the temple. Wei Shiyu specifically found an extra rope and hoisted him high into the air, figuring that this way, the man wouldn't disturb his sleep.

Chen Changsheng looked at him and said, "This Chen will wake you up again in a bit."

"I'm not in the mood to mess with you right now! Just wait until I wake up, you'll see!"

Throwing out that vicious threat, Wei Shiyu went back into the temple to get some sleep.

Yet not long after he lay down.

That same voice appeared again.

"Yo."

Wei Shiyu opened his eyes, only to find those smiling eyes hovering right in front of his face once more.

"How did you get inside?!"

Wei Shiyu scratched his head, completely agonized.

Chen Changsheng looked at him with a cheerful smile and said, "Weren't you going to kill me? I was worried you might have forgotten, so I specifically came to ask—when are you going to do it? So This Chen can make preparations."

Furious, Wei Shiyu threw a punch at Chen Changsheng.

Yet after the punch landed, Chen Changsheng was fine, while Wei Shiyu was in so much pain he sobered up a little more.

"Are you made of fucking iron?!"

Chen Changsheng glanced at him and said, "Your fists are worse than a sandbag."

Wei Shiyu instantly felt insulted.

"What did you say?!"

"What the fuck did you say?!"

"Fine, fine, fine."

Pointing at Chen Changsheng, Wei Shiyu said, "Since you're so eager to die, I'll send you to hell right now."

With that, he snatched up his Sword and pressed it against Chen Changsheng's neck once more.

The two of them looked at each other, and a sudden silence fell.

This situation was incredibly familiar, as if it had happened not long ago.

Chen Changsheng tilted his head, just about to speak.

Greatly alarmed, Wei Shiyu shouted, "Don't you go to sleep!!"

Chen Changsheng smiled and nodded. "Alright, alright. This Chen won't sleep."
