Infinite Mana: I Am The Absolute Supreme

Chapter 158: Arriving at the battlefield

Cristofer soon stepped out.

The moment he emerged and saw Victor standing there, he immediately sensed that something was different about him. His eyes narrowed slightly as he carefully observed Victor’s aura.

"Victor, something seems different about you," Cristofer said curiously.

"Well, this is only a clone. My main body cannot enter the battlefield right now," Victor answered without hesitation.

There was no reason to hide it.

"Clone?"

Cristofer’s eyes widened as shock filled his face. He stared at Victor again, this time with far greater attention, unable to believe what he had just heard.

How could this possibly be a clone?

He was shocked to his core. As a powerful cultivator, he had naturally encountered various clone techniques, but he had never heard of one capable of perfectly replicating the main body’s strength.

Most clones were significantly weaker than the original body.

"That’s right, Master. Now let’s go. I want to enter the Universal Battlefield," Victor said with a faint smile.

Cristofer nodded instinctively.

Suppressing the shock in his heart, he raised his hand and took out a small spacecraft. The spacecraft rapidly expanded in the void, revealing its sleek metallic body.

"Let’s go."

The two entered the spacecraft, and soon afterward, it disappeared into the vast darkness of space.

Inside the spacecraft, Cristofer’s expression gradually became serious. He turned toward Victor, clearly concerned about his decision to enter the battlefield.

"Victor, the Universal Battlefield currently has Abyssals at the Black Hole Realm and even the Quasar Realm."

"Furthermore, the forces of our universe are not completely united either. Some of them might even attack you for their own interests."

"This clone of yours appears extremely valuable. Do you still intend to enter the battlefield?"

"Don’t worry, Master. I have my own methods," Victor replied calmly.

He did not elaborate further.

Seeing Victor’s confident expression, Cristofer remained silent for a moment before finally nodding. Since Victor had already made his decision, there was little he could do to change his mind.

"Master, can you give me a rough idea about the battlefield?" Victor asked.

Cristofer nodded before beginning his explanation.

"The battlefield has expanded enormously after countless years of spatial expansion. It is now an incredibly vast region of space, far larger than what it originally was."

"Currently, the forces of the universe have established a massive city on one side, while the Abyssals occupy the opposite side."

"They have also established their own colony there. Battles occur constantly between the two sides, and neither side has been able to completely eliminate the other."

"The Abyssals must break through the defenses of the universal forces and escape through the gate."

"If even a single powerful Abyssal manages to escape, they could potentially establish another portal outside the battlefield."

Victor’s expression gradually became more serious.

There was no doubt that the battlefield was extremely important. It was not simply a place where powerful beings fought for resources or glory.

It was one of the barriers protecting the universe itself.

"There is also a Universal Ranking," Cristofer continued.

"Every month, the rankings are updated based on the total number of enemies killed by each individual."

"The top ten individuals receive treasures and cultivation resources from the universal forces. That is the basic structure of the battlefield."

Victor remained silent for a moment before suddenly speaking.

"But Master, you should know that the Abyssal portals are no longer completely restricted."

"A few days ago, a portal appeared on Earth. Fortunately, we managed to destroy it before it could fully form."

Cristofer’s eyes widened.

He clearly had no knowledge of this incident. His expression immediately became solemn as he processed Victor’s words.

"Are you sure?"

"That should not be possible. The universe itself is supposed to suppress the formation of Abyssal portals outside the battlefield."

"Master, there are too many unknown factors involved," Victor replied resolutely.

"I also want to know what is actually happening."

While they were talking, the spacecraft suddenly slowed down.

A moment later, it came to a complete halt.

"We have arrived," Cristofer said solemnly.

Victor and Cristofer left the spacecraft together.

The moment Victor stepped outside, his eyes immediately focused on a massive gate floating in the endless void.

Countless powerful beings were entering and leaving the gate.

Two extremely powerful guards stood on either side of it.

Victor immediately recognized their aura.

They were Universal Realm beings.

Their presence was similar to Elihan’s, and the pressure radiating from their bodies made it clear that they were far beyond ordinary cultivators.

"Alright, you can go inside now," Cristofer said.

"Once you enter, you will appear directly near the city."

"You can immediately head toward the battlefield, or you can spend some time gathering information and familiarizing yourself with the environment."

Victor nodded.

Slowly, he flew toward the massive gate.

The two Universal Realm guards glanced at him but did not stop him or ask for his identity.

Victor found it slightly surprising.

However, after thinking about it, he realized that it made sense.

Anyone entering through this gate was coming from their side of the universe.

There was little reason to carefully investigate those entering.

The real inspections were probably conducted on those leaving the battlefield.

Victor soon reached the enormous gate.

The moment he entered, he discovered a blue spatial portal floating inside.

Without hesitation, he stepped into it.

A flash of blue light filled his vision.

When Victor opened his eyes again, he immediately felt an overwhelming bloodlust filling the surrounding atmosphere.

The air itself seemed heavy.

Even someone as powerful as Victor could feel the suffocating pressure pressing down upon him.

More importantly, the space within this region was significantly more powerful than the outside universe.

The gravity was also immense.

"So, this is the battlefield," Victor muttered.

He looked ahead and immediately noticed a massive city in the distance.

Gigantic walls surrounded the entire city.

An enormous energy barrier covered the sky above it, protecting the city from potential attacks.

At the entrance stood another huge gate.

Two Nebula Realm beings guarded it.

One was a humanoid alien, while the other was a demon.

Victor slowly approached the entrance.

The moment he came closer, both guards immediately turned their attention toward him.

"Only a Sovereign Realm cultivator, yet you dared to enter the Universal Battlefield?"

"The human race truly has some courageous individuals."

Victor could tell that the demon was not trying to insult him.

Instead, his tone carried a trace of respect.

They had probably already heard about Victor’s previous achievements, particularly the destruction of a powerful God Race.

However, Victor had no intention of revealing his identity.

"Can I enter?" Victor asked calmly.

"Of course, Brother. What is your name?" the demon asked.

"I am Mr. Walker."

Victor deliberately avoided giving his full name.

His face was not widely recognized throughout the universe, but his name was different.

Very few people had personally seen Victor, yet countless powerful beings had already heard of his achievements.

Using his real name would only attract unnecessary attention.

"Mr. Walker, you may enter."

"You can take some time to adjust to the environment before heading toward the battle field."

Victor entered the city.

The moment he passed through the gate, he immediately noticed the difference.

The suffocating bloodlust outside had almost completely disappeared.

The air was cleaner, and the atmosphere felt far more comfortable.

Victor began walking through the streets.

The city was surprisingly prosperous.

Various races moved through the streets, while cultivators had already established stalls and shops along the roads.

Different buildings filled the area.

It was practically a fully functional city built in the middle of an endless battlefield.

However, Victor had another destination in mind.

Before entering the battlefield, he needed to register with the guild.

Every participant had to register their identity with the Universal System in order to enter the ranking system.

As he walked toward the guild, Victor heard numerous conversations.

"Did you hear? The Abyssals sent another Baron this time."

"That Baron is incredibly powerful. Three of our Quasar Realm powerhouses joined forces against him, but they still failed to defeat him."

"Eventually, the Abyssals received reinforcements, forcing our powerhouses to retreat."

Another person immediately shook his head.

"That’s nothing."

"Didn’t you hear what Miss Amelia did? She killed a Black Hole Realm Abyssal."

"God, she is only at the Nebula Realm, yet she can already kill a Black Hole Realm being."

"How heroic!"

The man spoke with undisguised admiration in his eyes.

Another person smiled and replied.

"She is the daughter of House Lancelot from the Ice Phoenix Bloodline."

"How could someone like her possibly be ordinary?"

Victor continued walking while silently gathering information.

The conversations around him revealed many things about the current situation on the battlefield.

The Abyssals were becoming increasingly active.

At the same time, the strongest geniuses of the universe were also rapidly growing through constant battles.

Soon, Victor finally reached the guild.

The building was enormous and luxurious.

Inside, the hall was crowded with cultivators from various races.

Four receptionists were stationed behind a long counter.

Victor walked toward one of them.

"Hello. How may I help you?" the receptionist asked with a professional smile.

"I want to register for the battlefield," Victor replied.

"Ah, a newcomer. Please wait for a moment."

The receptionist walked toward a shelf behind her.

A moment later, she returned with a round, transparent crystal.

"Please place your hand here."

Victor placed his hand on the crystal.

"Now tell me your name."

"Mr. Walker."

The receptionist briefly felt that the name was somewhat strange.

However, she did not question him.

There were countless races and powerful beings in the universe, and many cultivators preferred hiding their real identities.

Soon, a gentle light emerged from the transparent crystal.

There was no dramatic reaction.

The registration process was completed almost instantly.

"Alright. Your name has now been registered in the Universal Battlefield."

The receptionist then began explaining the ranking system.

"Any enemy below the Lord Realm is worth one point."

"A Lord Realm enemy gives ten points, a Sovereign Realm enemy gives fifty points, and a World Realm enemy gives one hundred points."

"A Nebula Realm enemy gives two hundred points, a Black Hole Realm enemy gives five hundred points, and a Quasar Realm enemy gives one thousand points."

Victor listened attentively.

The receptionist continued.

"However, killing an enemy above your own realm gives additional rewards."

"If you kill an enemy one realm above you, the points will be doubled."

"If the enemy is two realms above you, the points will be multiplied by four."

"The multiplier continues doubling for every additional realm above your own."

The receptionist finished her explanation before looking at Victor.

"Alright. Do you have any questions?"

"No. Thank you."

Victor nodded politely before turning around.

He left the guild without wasting any more time.

His destination was clear.

He had come to the Universal Battlefield for one purpose.

To fight.

And Victor intended to enter the battlefield immediately.
