*Anos's POV*

'Merlin's balding head ouch.' I held my face carefully, not that it helped stop the bleeding.

Carefully I sat down with my back to the door while doing my best to not look at the Mirror of Erised.

It was easier than usual because of the pain in my face. Gingerly I brought my hand to my nose and winced as I tried to tap at it.

'Ok it's not shattered so that's a plus. Should I try to set it?' I thought about it for a moment, I had experience doing it in my previous life mostly for the other kids in the Orphanage.

Apparently being treated as an outcast didn't turn people away from asking you for help because the alternative was a beating.

'Not that it had helped much. Half of them had crooked noses by the time I got out of there.' I thought with a chuckle.

Shaking those thoughts away I tried to remember how I had done it and brought my hands to my face.

'Here it goes. 1,2,3…..ah fuck I can't do it. It hurts too much.' I stifled a yell and did my best to not cry because I didn't know if I could live with myself after that.

'Well I can't do it myself. Will have to ask someone else to do it. Sigh.' I put my head up to stare at the roof to maybe get the blood flow to stop.

It didn't do much but spread the blood on other parts of my neck. At Least no one would be coming here for quite some time and I only had to wait for but a few more minutes before I could sneak out.

*Scratch*

I tried to ignore the scratching noises coming from my front while simultaneously trying to not think about the pain in my nose.

After a while with no success on both fronts I decided to just choose one and went towards the scratching sound coming from behind the mirror.

“And what exactly are you doing here little one?” I asked the Haze squirrel scratching at the mirror.

‘Probably escaped from Quirell’s class’ I thought with a smile as I gently put my hand forward.

“Now I’ll appreciate it if you don’t bite my already broken nose like you did with Quirell.” I said and it only squeaked happily before climbing up my hand and settling on my shoulder.

*Squeak*

“You think there’s something behind it?” I asked only to see a very tiny nod from the creature.

‘Thank the gods for eyesight in the dark’

I still held one of my hands to my neck as I pushed around at the back of the mirror only to hear a click and a small piece of parchment to be thrown out.

“Well I’ll save you for later.” I put it inside my robe.

“Now let’s get out of here.” I said to the squirrel who climbed down into one of my pockets looking snug.

“Clever one.” I said caressing its head with a finger before sneaking out towards the Common Room.

—----------------------

It took a while before I was finally safe in the Common Room as I shut the gate behind myself and crumple down with my back to it.

'Sigh, how the hell do I have enough blood to keep bleeding?' I thought darkly as the cold wet trail still flowed.

The Haze Squirrel had falledn asleep in one of my pockets, with soft twitching of it's nose every once in a while.

'Well atleast one of us is resting. I would like that as well if I can but first let's get this nose fixed.'

I stood shakily and as quietly as I could walked over to Alucard's room and with a moments hesitation that left as soon as it came, knocked lightly on the door as my gloved hand met the hard yet warm wood of the door.

A sound came from inside, of wood creaking and then I could hear steps getting closer before the door opened an inch and I could see two Crimson orbs staring at me from darkness.

'Does he really have to be as dramatic as having no lights in his room?' I thought amused.

Fortunately I could still see clearly in the darkness and noticed Alucard's nose twitch for a moment.

"You're bleeding?" Alucard asked with a raised eyebrow.

"As you can notice from the broken nose, the dripping blood and the slight rumble from what I imagine your stomach being hungry the answer is yes." I said snappishly.

"Well I for one am quite disappointed about the last part but how am I supposed to help in this case?" Alucard asked, amused.

"Do you know how to set a broken nose?"

"No." Alucard replied curtly.

"Perfect. Then do as I instruct." I said before stopping as Alucard actually threatened to smile.

"I'm afraid not. Do you wish to have your nose heal crooked? Because as far as I'm aware it's already started to mend and it'll require someone with a precise control of strength to snap it back into place without either it not budging at all or it being ripped off. I for one am not part of this group currently." Alucard said, still only holding the door partially open.

"Well who do you recommend for this most auspicious task then?" I asked annoyed at this point, I should have rather done this myself consequences be damned.

I had experience enough with healing and such a broken nose would be a breeze even without any magic but not on myself.

"I would've recommended Belmont if he was even just a year older. Most of the Belmonts have the peculiar habit of breaking bones against their foes but in this case your nose will be ripped off your face since he's not up to par with even his whip. We have only one option currently who is fortunately here as well." Alucard said and I just nodded.

My nose was becoming both itchy and incredibly stuffy and the smell of warm blood was almost overwhelming, oh yes I'll need some blood to drink after this. And perhaps a meal of two chickens and a couple of eggs.

Alucard walked out, his silver hair glinting a bit in the moonlight as he stepped fully into the corridor before beginning to walk down to one end and knocking.

"Seriously?" I asked surprised.

"You'll find none better than him at the moment, count yourself lucky." Alucard said as the door opened.
