*Anos's POV*
"Seriously? Lan?" I asked, surprised.
"Yes. Now shut up." Alucard said as he gingerly knocked on the door with his knuckles.
The door opened without a sound and Pan stepped out.
"How can I help?" Lan said, looking at my bleeding nose.
"Can we come in first?" I asked and Lan nodded, if a bit reluctantly.
The room was the same size as mine but the space was being utilized a lot more.
The entire room was lit by tiny orbs of light about the size of marbles, gently floating around, and I could feel the magic from them, not as bright blue as most I see but instead it was a tinge of warm yellow.
There was no moon in the sky today, covered by clouds.
The bed had three rolls of parchments and a bottle of ink placed neatly upon it at one corner while the rest of it was bare.
There were a few more rolls of parchment lying on a table at one end of the room, surprisingly containing two chairs.
There was a cupboard with its door ajar on the right edge of the room while the other edge had what appeared to be a small shrine, and I could smell the sweet scent of incense from it.
"A Shrine to Inari?" Alucard asked and I almost smiled upon hearing the childish curiosity in his voice.
"Yes, to Inari and some Ryu. I had a larger one at home, containing more of my Patron gods but it was too cumbersome to carry." Lan said gently, picking up one of the chairs and offering me to sit.
"Both of you still haven't answered my question, how can I help? I might not be the most devout but I still consider a puddle of blood in my room to be….. not the most pleasant of ideas actually. Especially inhuman blood, no offense intended." Lan said softly.
"None taken. Can you fix my nose?" I asked, finally putting my hand away from my nose.
"And might I ask what broke it?" Lan questioned with a raised eyebrow, visible above the cloth tied over his eyes.
"Would you believe me if I answered that I fell from some stairs?" I said trying to chuckle but immediately wincing at the sharp pain.
"I would have been sorely disappointed if a Progenitor such as yourself couldn't even keep notice of their surroundings but I have known you for too long to consider that possible, you're aware of nearly everything in your vicinity." Lan chided.
"Even beyond the walls, I would be afraid if I didn't see you everyday half awake, brewing coffee for yourself and me and cursing the Transfiguration classes in murmurs." Alucard added.
"So no, we would be imbeciles to believe such a thing." They both finished.
'Why do they have as much synergy as the Weasely twins all of sudden?' I frowned before gently shaking my head.
"I will tell. Both of you. But not today, I'm too tired to explain everything at the moment and just know that it wasn't anything stupidly illegal or something that would get me expelled." I answered and they both visibly mulled the words over before Lan slowly nodded.
"I think your tiredness will be gone soon enough, blood tastes sweet to you, yes?" Lan asked and I nodded.
"It's a bit hard to explain in human terms but it's both sweet, yes." I answered.
"You have your blood vial on you?" Alucard asked and when I shook my head he threw me his which I catched in my right hand.
"He'll only need enough for it to act as a temporary relaxant, yes?" Alucard asked and Lan nodded.
"Just enough otherwise we would have to wean him off of it for a long time afterwards if he has the same appetites as other Vampires." Lan said before turning his head straight at me and approaching.
"Drink 3 drops and try to not scream, in fact bite on this." Alucard said, trying to hand me an Almanac he had procured suddenly.
"3 drops? Are you sure?" I asked and a look came over his face that was almost sympathetic.
"You'll need it. I would have said 4 but I don't have enough knowledge on your physique." Alucard said soothingly and I brought the vial to my lips and waited till 3 drops fell down on them.
Very slowly I licked my lips clean and could feel the blood heavy on my tongue pass down my neck slowly, leaving a cold feeling in my chest. The sweetness lingered.
"You shouldn't have done that, should have directly drunk it." Alucard said, taking the vial from me, gently as I declined the offered Almanac.
'I don't want to tear a hole through that perfectly usable paper.'
"The blood helps my lips appear a bit less pale." I shrugged lightly.
"Yes, now after I set your nose, you have to blow out of your nose as hard as you can." Lan said and I nodded.
The orbs of light floating around came together over my head casting a much brighter light as the adjoined.
"You know I thought you would be resting this late into the night." I said in a low voice knowing Alucard could hear anyway.
"I would have been sleeping. Now sit still unless you want this to hurt more than it has to." Lan replied.
Lan brought his hands to my nose, carefully laid felt around to check the general area and I controlled my breathing, remaining as calm as I could.
*Snap*
Before a feeling of horrible pain swept through my face and I forgot how to breathe.
"Blow!.....your nose!..... Quickly blow your nose!" Alucard said but I heard his voice in snippets, my whole face seemed to have stopped having any feeling for a moment except the horrible pain in my nose.
I could smell blood, a steady sweet smell from my nose dripping to my lips.
*Smack*
Before getting smacked forward and falling from the chair and hitting face first into the floor.
'Oh right, blow.' I remembered groggily before using what small amount of energy I had to blow my nose, feeling blood trickle out heavily.
It was the feeling of very warm blood dripping with a trickling sound that I lost consciousness
