Silas stared at the containment tubes in front of him.

More than 20 of them were already in use.

"Rion, bring the biggest one here," Silas said.

The tube began to move towards Silas slowly on his command.

"Good thing I can connect this place with my AI. How hard would controlling everything be otherwise?" Silas wondered as he walked towards the gene analyzer.

The tube stopped a few meters away from him.

"Scan it," Silas said, still looking at the tube.

If it were something smaller, he would have placed it on the testing ring attached to the analyzer, but the corpse was bigger than that.

Thankfully, the analyzer had just the tool for something of that size.

A wide beam of blue rays shot out from the analyzer, moving slowly till it covered the tube in its entirety.

For a moment, the light remained, unmoving.

Then, it was sucked back in a flash.

Silas looked at the corpse, then the analyzer.

"The results should be out in about 10 minutes," he mused.

"Maybe I should grab a cup of coffee upstairs," he muttered, remembering the refreshing taste of the beverage Howard had given him in the morning.

The elevator doors chimed as Silas stepped out.

"Where are they?" Silas wondered, looking around for either of them.

He had expected to see Asher playing games in the living room since that seemed to be the only thing he did now.

Silas did not linger on the thought for long.

He went to the kitchen and brewed himself a cup of coffee.

"Let's take some sandwiches too then," he said.

From the fridge, he pulled out a stack of bread wrapped tightly in foil.

He took two portions and returned the rest.

He turned the microwave on and placed the foils inside.

Silas looked around, waiting for them to be ready.

Roughly five minutes later, both the brew and microwave chimed loudly.

Silas smiled, grabbing a tray and plate from the rack placed on the cabinet.

He dispensed the coffee into a cup and placed it beside the plate of sandwiches.

He carried everything on the tray and began to walk towards the lab.

A soft hum reverberated through the elevator as it descended.

Then a slight shudder notified him that they were at the basement.

The doors slid open with a soft hiss and Silas walked out.

Soon, he was in the Life Science Zone.

He placed his tray on a table.

Then he took one sandwich from the two.

"The result is out," Silas muttered.

He took a bite of the sandwich.

"Huh?" The words came out of Silas's lips, muffled by the bread he was chewing.

After he swallowed, he furrowed his brows.

The analyzer had come back with no results.

He remembered what Leonard had told him while he was bargaining for the corpses.

"But the academy provided me with better equipment. It should have been able to analyze it."

Several thoughts surfaced in Silas's mind at this moment.

He had just spent all the points he had gained during his time on the Orion planet on things that had not yielded results.

"No, there should be a way."

He took another bite of the sandwich, reducing it to half its original size.

"Analyze," Silas whispered, drawing the word out longer than usual.

His skill.

Although he was not sure if it would work, he still decided to try.

He finished the rest of the sandwich in his hand first, then dusted his palms.

After a few seconds of hurried chewing, he was finally ready.

Hiccup.

Silas ran towards the cup of coffee, chugging down half of it in an instant.

He wiped the drop from his lips.

"Okay, now I am ready."

He reached the tube.

"Analyze."

A flurry of information entered his head, then displayed on a screen before him.

But Silas could not see it.

Everything before his eyes began to blur.

His hand rose, brushing something from his eyes.

"Blood."

Those were the last words he said before a loud thud echoed through the room.

Silas's eyes shut and he fell to the floor, collapsing from the weight of what he had just attempted.

"Silas," the voice came from far away, but still felt somewhat close.

Silas's eyes fluttered open slowly.

"Why are there two of you?" Silas asked Asher.

Asher shook his head.

"He has woken up, Howard," Asher called.

Asher did not waste time; he lifted Silas onto his back.

"How do we treat him?" Asher asked.

"I can get a potion about 3 blocks away," Howard replied.

Silas shook his head slowly in protest.

"There's a restoration potion in my AI space. I would be fine once I use it," Silas said.

The words seemed to have been forced out of his lips.

"Bring it out," Asher replied.

A potion appeared in Silas's palm, held firmly within his grip.

Asher set him down, but still held him by the shoulder.

Silas downed the potion.

At first, there was no effect.

Then, a blue light enveloped Silas from head to toe.

After a few minutes, Silas's condition improved.

"I am better now," he said with a smile.

"Thank you."

Howard and Asher nodded.

"But how did you know?" Silas asked.

Even while he was still being carried, he had been wondering how they had known.

"The lab has a function that alerts me if anyone is in danger," Howard said, flashing a small device at Silas.

'Everything here was meticulously planned,' he mused.

"What time is it now?" Silas asked.

"It is 7:38pm," Asher quickly replied.

"I still have time," Silas said, turning back towards the Life Science Zone.

But he stopped midway.

"How can I get to Australia tomorrow?"

Howard blinked.

"Just tell me whenever you are ready. With your jet, it should take less than an hour to get there," Howard said with a bow.

Silas nodded, then turned to enter.

"Where did you guys go earlier?"
