Legendary Vampire in the Apocalypse

Chapter 103: My—Our Sanguine Decadence

He walked to the desk and set his hands on its edge, standing with his back to her as he breathed through his mouth. He hardly allowed himself to see for any longer than a few moments how she wore such sensual panties.

And by now, mingled with the scent of her blood in the air, he began to smell her growing arousal.

"You can turn around or not," Florence said behind him. "It doesn’t change what I’m saying. I’m offering you my body in exchange for your protection, for Julian and for me. I haven’t suddenly lost my mind."

"You’re being coerced by the situation. It seems reasonable... but you really have no idea what you’re getting yourself into."

"Then the situation is coercing me, not you. You would be accepting an offer that I am making freely."

"..."

Dion said nothing, tensing his jaw and closing his eyes harder, as he tried to internally control his blood to calm down.

But it just wouldn’t listen, when her scent growing, and he could feel his heart throbbing in the back of his eyes, as well as that longing heat spreading through him.

"I cannot fight," she continued, and he heard the thud of shoe soles tumbling a little as she removed them, "And I understand it’s risky trying to take along someone who just knows medicine right now when you have to fight so hard to protect yourself."

The soft patter of her bare feet over the floor throbbed through his body, and his canines grew involuntarily.

"But looking at the way everything has been handled here, I am sure, sooner or later, if you leave and we stay here, we will die. It might not be today or this week, but the others can already hardly get food without one of them nearly dying, and the people in this building are already turning on each other. And I’m... just a woman with a child subject to all this.

Everything I excel in worth protecting me for doesn’t mean anything at this stage of the apocalypse.

I heard everything you said in that corridor. The things outside are getting stronger, and I don’t blame them, but clearly it won’t be safe with their group for much longer. I would rather take the risk of being with you, than stay here," Her breathing held for a moment, and then it came out. "And right now... this is the only thing I have to offer to you for it."

"You... should leave, Florence." she heard him say through a low... almost carnal voice, "You should.. really, leave."

Her feet, perhaps finally feeling some confidence as she heard his voice, floated her closer to his back.

There was blood staining it, but she did not care. Soon enough... he wouldn’t be wearing it after all.

"There are no conditions on this besides what I am asking for," she said as her hands rose and she moved them through under his top, caressing over his defined body, "For as long as we’re together, we can do it whenever you want and however often."

Ahead of him, she heard the sound of something scraping against the table, but she ignored it, as she, for her own sake, briefly hid her fluster by hugging against his bac, her arms wrapping around his torso. It had been a very long time since she had been anywhere near this nervous around someone, and feeling how hot his body was, and the drumming of his heart at least made her feel better.

"If... you really didn’t want this, you are more than strong enough to have moved me out of the way and left this room yourself. Or to have thrown me out in that hallway with nothing on and shut the door in my face. And you could easily pull my hands away from you, and then, I won’t disrespect you by insisting any more," Her voice muttered just beneath the rain the rain. "But you haven’t. And I don’t think it’s because you feel sorry for me... So take us with you," Florence said, and her other hand eased down his abs, "And I’m all—"

Abruptly, Dion turned around.

He had moved so fast that she flinched, pulling her hands away from him. They were moments from falling to her side as one of her feet staggered back away from him when she felt her feet begin ripped from the floor.

His hands had clutched her around the waist and his feet stomped them back across the office where her back hit the wall.

Florence’s huffed broke from her and when her eyes had already widened a little seeing how his pupils were pulsing red and had sharpened into predatory slits, the heat of his body pressed against hers.

Within the next moment, she suddenly sang an amorous gasp for air as his head buried itself into her neck and bid fangs bit into her.

The sharp, icy shock of his fangs piercing her skin lasted only a fraction of a second before it dissolved into a sudden, rushing heat.

That heavy, narcotic warmth coupled with the embrace of his body as his hands demanded for her to hold him closer, flooded her chest and spilled down into her limbs, pulling the breath right out of her lungs.

Her mind reeled, scrambling to keep up with the overwhelming rush.

’It doesn’t... God, why doesn’t it hurt?’

Despite her thoughts, her body responded on pure, unthinking instinct.

Her arms swept up, her fingers tangling tightly into his hair, pulling his face deeper into the curve of her collarbone to lock him there. The pull of his mouth felt like a pulse dragging straight through her veins.

’He’s... like a drug.’

Every swallow he took sent a waver of electric shivers down her spine, making her arch into him.

A soft, ravishing breath spilled free from her mouth as her eye lids fell, concealing the dewy glimmer in their green, and her legs pulled themselves up, wrapping tightly around his waist.

Her head rolled back against the wall and her sense of time and danger dissolved into the sheer, drowning sensation of the decadence they lost themselves to.
