Limitless Summoner System

Professor Vanhorn made his way through a secret passage out of the staff sleeping quarters, through a painting in his room. He uttered an inaudible incantation and was able to walk through it. It led downstairs and torches lit as he passed by them. As he reached the bottom, he cast a small fire ball on top of a stick with a cloth and raised it to walk to the main area of his secret room.

There were diagrams, beasts, maps, and spells scattered across walls, dry erase and chalkboards boards as well as a desk filled with notebooks and books, some so heavily used their covers were falling from the seams, notes scribbled everywhere.

He began drawing something on the floor using chalk while speaking in a foreign tongue and when he finished, he cut his hand and dropped his elven blood in the center.

The circle of the pentagram started glowing red, forcing its way up the star shape in the middle, but eventually fizzled out, despite his constant chanting and profuse sweating.

’Damnit! So close. I swear, I will open this portal to the Land of Monsters even if I am not a summoner!’

Tyler was glad his apartment was filled with people. Sophie brought her roommate with her. The girls all managed to change into casual clothing, out of their skirts and school polos. Tyler couldn’t believe how gorgeous Katy was, which now made three women in his life he would have been attracted to on Earth. He even told himself he might have trouble staying loyal to his girlfriend, but then laughed at the thought.

’There’s no way I ever would have cheated on her. We were perfect and I’m glad she had a wonderful life.’

Adam, who was around 6 feet tall and slightly shorter than Tyler, who was 6`2, also had black hair and green eyes. The two looked somewhat similar, but Adam was more muscular and had a bald fade with a little bit of hair to style at the top. Tyler’s hair wasn’t particularly long, but it was still neatly done up and he was skinny.

Katy was a red head with brown eyes and very attractive. Adam found out she got her hair from her abilities, which revolved around fire.

"Yo Tyler! You should let her meet Ash!" Adam said while Tyler was talking to Amanda.

"I don’t really feel like coming out right now, sorry bud."

"You really don’t have to apologize. You’re my familiar and my best friend, not someone to show off all the time. Plus you’re still in your baby form, get some rest buddy, I promise lots of fish for dinner tonight!"

"Are you sure you’re real?" Ash asked seriously. "Am I dreaming or what’s going on here?"

Tyler smiled. "Get some sleep. Shadow, you good?"

"Yes Tyler, thank you. I think I’m going to catch some sleep as well. I’ve never been inside the body of a host before. You have good friends. The elf needs confidence, but from what I’ve gathered from Ash and your consciousness, she seems to have been outcasted. Anyway, we will talk later."

"If either of you need to go to the Land of Summoned Monsters or anything, feel free too."

"I don’t think you realize, that isn’t just some casual place. It’s a completely different realm with a King and Queen and a large population of different beasts and Eidolans from all ranks and tiers. Some live peacefully, some fight all the time. Going alone is dangerous, especially for a baby phoenix. I’m platinum and believe I can grow stronger and level up, but I would prefer to stay with you for now." Shadow explained calmly.

"Woah, that’s totally not what I expected. Alright, well if you need to go out or anything, let me know and I’ll head out back or if you feel comfortable to go yourself and don’t think you’ll have anyone attack you, feel free. Sleep tight."

"Yo... Tyler, you gonna just stand there and ignore everyone or what’s up?" Adam asked, confused.

"Uh, sorry. He’s kind of sleeping right now and I was formulating a plan with Shadow for tonight," Tyler lied.

"It’s ok, really, it’s not a big deal. If he’s still a baby, he probably needs lots of rest and fire. You’re feeding him fire right?" Katy asked politely.

"No, he prefers fish right now. But one second let me ask him, hopefully he doesn’t get mad at me for waking him up." Tyler said, hoping Ash hadn’t fallen asleep yet.

"Yo Ash, if you want fire, let me know ok?"

"Mhm... I’m good..."

’I knew I should have just let him sleep.’

"Anyway, so Katy, you’re a fire user and a human?" Tyler asked politely.

"Close, I’m actually a werewolf," she smiled nervously.

"Woah, that’s so cool!" Amanda cheered.

"A red haired fire using werewolf, I don’t think I’ve ever met someone that unique! That’s amazing," Zain said while flipping his blonde hair to the side.

He was shorter, around 5`9 but was very flirty with the women and always flipped his hair, which made Tyler laugh. ’Everyone here is so damn good looking. Demon, elf, werewolf, vampire, human, doesn’t matter.’

"Thanks," Katy said politely. "Well, it’s getting kind of late. I appreciate the hang out. Sophie you coming back or what are you doing tonight?"

"I can’t tell you, I’m sorry. I don’t want you to know because it could get you in trouble too. If anyone checks, which I highly doubt because we’re in the most luxurious apartments on campus, just tell them I’m studying with Amanda in her dorm please."

"Ok... I’ll cover for you but if something happens, I’ll have to come looking for you." She smiled and waved goodbye to everyone. "Nice meeting you all!"

"Well, I guess that’s my cue," Zain smiled, while walking out behind yelling "Hey Katy, let me at least walk you to your apartment!"

The four inside laughed.

"Let’s go grab something to eat before we head out, how late is the cafeteria open, shit, I didn’t realize it was already almost 9."

"They close exactly at 9, but we could always just go grab food in town?"

"Nah, that doesn’t leave us much time before we head out. It’s 8:40. We can be at the cafeteria in 5 minutes and I promised Ash fish."
