The surviving assassin sprinted into a hidden cavern illuminated by glowing red crystals. He collapsed to his knees before a man wearing ornate crimson robes.
"How come you returned so soon?" the Master demanded, stepping down from a stone dais. "Did you manage to abduct any royals from the palace?"
The assassin gasped for breath. "The launch site is destroyed! A silver-haired monster slaughtered everyone! I barely escaped with my life!"
The Master widened his eyes in panic. He immediately kicked the exhausted subordinate in the chest, sending him sprawling across the cavern floor. "You absolute fool! You left a trail! You led the attacker straight to our base!"
"Now now. I would have found this palace sooner or later." Solomon jumped down from a high ledge near the cavern entrance.
He landed smoothly on the rocky floor, instantly surrounded by a few dozen assassins pouring out from the adjacent tunnels.
"You should not beat someone and blame them for their incompetence," Solomon advised, resting Eden’s Penance against the stone. "That failure would not have happened if you taught them properly in the first place."
[User12: the teacher has arrived.]
[Brerell: Solo Man giving leadership advice.]
[Foodball: boss fight time!]
[Zoomtech: bro is surrounded again.]
Solomon pulled the executioner’s sword up and pointed the pristine steel directly at the Master. "I already broke all your toys outside. Now I am just here to break you."
The Master snarled and pointed a finger at Solomon. "Kill him!"
The Master immediately retreated toward the dais. He closed his eyes and knelt, rapidly drawing complex runic characters onto the cavern floor with glowing crimson energy.
While the grunts charged forward.
Solomon finally unleashed his internal energy. A blinding silver aura erupted from his core and coated the massive blade. He combined the agile footwork of the Azure Crane Blade with the devastating power of the imperial sword arts.
He bounded off the ball of his foot, utilizing the eleventh step’s rotational momentum, and snapped his hips to execute the second form of the imperial arts. The silver aura flared outward in a colossal horizontal sweep.
The kinetic wave obliterated the advancing assassins before they could even cross half the distance. The strike sheared through their bodies and shattered their weapons, painting the cavern walls with crimson splatters.
The grunts perished instantly, completely folded by the overwhelming energy.
[Fatal_Beauty: HE FOLDED THE WHOLE SQUAD!]
[1Fizzy: the silver aura is back!]
[Mezz_3863: zero hesitation just pure destruction.]
[Xenedra: they literally evaporated.]
[Scott_Carson: the Master is still writing his spells lol.]
Solomon stepped over the scattered remains and approached the dais. The Master finished his incantation and slammed his palms onto the stone.
Glowing crimson chains erupted from the ground, lashing out to bind Solomon’s ankles. Solomon stepped backward, using the crane style’s evasive footing to dodge the magical restraints. The Master pushed his hands forward, sending jagged rock spikes shooting out of the cavern walls.
Solomon swung Eden’s Penance in a rising deflection arc. The silver aura smashed the stone spikes into harmless gravel. He lunged forward with a high-speed piercing strike.
The Master conjured a crimson energy shield. The sword collided with the barrier, cracking the magical defense. The Master channeled a burst of spiritual energy into his palms and thrust them toward Solomon’s chest, releasing a concussive blast.
Solomon twisted his torso to let the blast slip past his guard. He stepped directly into the Master’s blind spot. Realizing his sword was too large for the tight quarters on the dais, Solomon drove the tip of Eden’s Penance into the stone floor and let go of the hilt.
He coated his bare knuckles in silver aura and unleashed a brutal right hook. The punch shattered the remaining crimson shield and cracked the Master’s jaw.
The Master stumbled backward in a daze. Solomon grabbed him by the collar of his ornate robes. He delivered a punishing knee strike to the man’s midsection, forcing the air out of his lungs.
He followed up with a sweeping leg trip, slamming the Master onto the hard rock.
Solomon carefully mounted the fallen leader and rained down a relentless barrage of silver-coated punches.
The cavern echoed with the sound of fists striking bone. He battered the Master until the man stopped resisting entirely, leaving the cult leader unconscious and utterly broken on the floor.
[Mezz_3863: straight to the hands!]
[James_hayes: bro dropped the legendary sword just to punch him.]
[Alpha_Char: Solo Man is a menace.]
[M00N: the runes didn’t save him.]
[1Fizzy: brutal beatdown.]
[Last_Fables: hide and seek is officially over.]
Solomon walked through the glowing cavern and gathered the scattered weapons and rune stones into a tidy pile. The hovering bronze owl fluttered closer, projecting a translucent blue interface right above the loot.
[Would you like to store the loot into the inventory?]
A system prompt popped up, asking if he wished to add the gathered items to the drone’s digital inventory. The text included a strict warning stating that stored materials remained inaccessible anywhere except at designated merchant outposts across the linked worlds.
Solomon did not need the extra gear weighing him down anyway. He tapped the glowing confirmation button and watched the pile of weapons vanish into digital light one by one.
[1Fizzy: loot goblin mode activated.]
[Mezz_3863: free money for the merchant shop.]
[James_hayes: bro cleared the dungeon and took the drops.]
[Fatal_Beauty: the inventory feature is so handy.]
[Scott_Carson: secure the bag Solo Man.]
Once the cavern floor was stripped of anything valuable, Solomon located a sturdy wooden cart near the supply tunnels.
He unceremoniously stuffed the unconscious cult master inside the wagon. Grabbing the wooden handles, he pulled the captive out of the base and began his long trek back to the Azure Moon Kingdom.
He looked at the chat and asked, "So guys, do you think I will get extra points for this?"
[Xenedra: one hundred percent!]
[GoodLord: I AM GOING TO SLEEP, SOLO MAN! MAKE SURE YOU GET SOME SLEEP TOO!]
"Goon night, Lord."
A few minutes after his departure, a shadow detached itself from the rocky cavern entrance. Vera stepped into the dim light of the red crystals.
The master of the Shadow Assassin Pavilion surveyed the devastated hideout and the ruined bodies of the cultists. She recalled the argument she had with Princess Lune earlier that night.
’The princess was right,’ Vera thought to herself, studying the sheer scale of the destruction. Watching him fight in person truly felt different than watching a broadcast on a crystal screen. The raw speed and the terrifying precision of his strikes defied logic.
She also wondered why he smiled so brightly while dismantling an entire army.
"It was worth rigging that bell," Vera muttered to the empty cavern, confirming her own chaotic involvement in waking the royal guards to isolate the targets. She dissolved back into the darkness to follow the silver-haired boy’s return path.
