Liam tried to speak, but the words refused to come.

He had stared at the woman for what felt like an eternity, yet only a few seconds had actually passed. Something about her was pulling at a part of him that he didn’t understand. His mind kept searching through memories, trying to find where he had seen that face before, where he had heard that voice, where he had felt this strange familiarity that seemed to reach deeper than his current life. It wasn’t simply that she looked familiar. It was the feeling of knowing her without knowing how he knew her. It was as though some forgotten part of himself recognized her before his conscious mind could.

Finally, he managed to speak.

"I... I know you."

The words came out quietly.

Everyone turned toward him.

Tatiana’s eyebrows lifted.

Leonid stared at him.

Irina’s expression became almost comically confused.

Gregor looked at Liam as though he had suddenly lost his mind.

The silent looks between them practically said the same thing.

What the hell is this guy talking about?

Liam barely noticed.

His eyes remained fixed on the woman standing before them.

She hadn’t moved.

She simply continued looking at him.

There was something in her expression that Liam couldn’t decipher. She wasn’t surprised by his words. She wasn’t confused either. If anything, there was a strange softness in her eyes, as though his statement had confirmed something she had already known.

Then something completely unexpected happened.

Agatha suddenly dropped to her knees.

Her body struck the cloud beneath her with a soft sound.

Mary followed.

Then Gregor.

All three witches bowed so deeply that their foreheads touched the cloud.

Liam finally blinked.

Tatiana turned sharply toward them.

"What are you doing?"

Nobody answered.

Agatha’s shoulders were trembling.

Mary had both hands pressed against the cloud as tears began running down her cheeks.

Gregor’s entire body shook as tears streamed freely from his eyes.

It wasn’t fear.

At least, Liam didn’t think it was.

There was something else in their expressions.

Something almost impossible to describe.

Reverence.

Devotion.

Recognition.

They looked like people who had spent their entire lives believing something existed only to finally stand directly in its presence.

Irina stared at them in disbelief.

"What the hell is going on?"

Still, none of them answered.

Tatiana looked from the three witches to the woman standing before them.

Her instincts were screaming at her.

Something about the Seer was beyond anything she had encountered before. Tatiana had fought monsters, witches and creatures that could tear ordinary humans apart with ease, but this woman was different. There was no visible killing intent coming from her. There was no aggression.

And somehow that was more frightening.

Tatiana understood strength.

She understood what it felt like when someone powerful entered a battlefield.

This was different.

The woman didn’t need to display her power.

Her very existence seemed to bend the atmosphere around her.

Irina felt it too.

She had initially been suspicious, even hostile, because Agatha, Mary and Gregor had suddenly collapsed before this woman without explanation. But the longer she stared at the Seer, the more certain she became of one terrifying fact.

If this woman wanted them dead, they wouldn’t even have time to react.

She wouldn’t need to raise a hand.

She wouldn’t need to summon magic.

She might simply think about it.

And their hearts could stop.

Irina’s fingers slowly curled into fists.

"What are you doing to them?"

Her voice was firm despite the uneasiness creeping through her body.

The woman finally looked toward her.

For a moment, Irina felt as though the entire universe had turned its attention toward her.

Those beautiful eyes settled on her.

Irina’s breath caught.

There was no hostility within them.

No anger.

The Seer simply looked at her.

Then she raised one hand.

A gentle wave followed.

Nothing more.

The three witches immediately rose from the ground as though an invisible force had lifted them.

Agatha’s feet touched the cloud.

Mary straightened.

Gregor wiped hurriedly at his face, though the tears continued falling.

Irina immediately rushed toward them.

"What happened?"

She grabbed Agatha by the shoulders and looked into her face.

"Why were you crying?"

Agatha tried to answer.

Nothing came out.

Her lips trembled.

Her eyes remained fixed on the woman standing several metres away.

Then she finally managed to speak.

"It is her."

Irina frowned.

"Who?"

Agatha swallowed.

Her voice shook.

"This is her."

Irina looked toward the Seer.

"Who is her?"

Agatha couldn’t answer.

Mary stepped forward instead.

Her eyes were still wet, but her expression had changed completely.

There was no fear in it.

Only absolute reverence.

"This is the one we serve on Earth."

Irina’s mind stopped.

For a second, she genuinely couldn’t process the sentence.

The one they served?

She stared at Mary.

Then at Agatha.

Then Gregor.

Finally, her eyes slowly returned to the Seer.

Something clicked.

The pieces came together with frightening speed.

The witches had always spoken about the one they served.

They had spoken about their goddess.

The being whose existence stood at the center of their faith.

The entity whose will they followed even when they didn’t understand it.

Irina had heard mary mention her countless times back on earth.

But she had always assumed that whoever this being was, she existed somewhere beyond their reach.

A distant deity.

A mysterious power.

Something that could never simply appear before them.

Yet here she was.

Standing on clouds.

Looking at them.

Irina’s mouth opened slightly.

"No..."

The word escaped her before she could stop it.

Her hostility disappeared completely.

She slowly lowered her hands.

The suspicion that had filled her moments earlier was replaced by something entirely different.

Awe.

She stared at the Seer with a newfound understanding.

"You’re..."

She couldn’t finish.

She didn’t need to.

She finally understood.

This was the goddess the witches served.

The being they had devoted themselves to.

The one whose existence had shaped their entire understanding of magic.

And she was standing right in front of them.

Irina’s eyes widened as realization after realization crashed into her mind.

Agatha’s vision.

The strange journey.

The reason they had been drawn to this place.

The trial.

The guardian.

The impossible challenges.

Everything suddenly seemed connected.

Agatha hadn’t simply had a random vision.

Someone had wanted them here.

And if the goddess had been responsible for bringing them here, then perhaps their arrival hadn’t been an accident at all.

Irina slowly looked toward Agatha.

"Your vision..."

Agatha nodded.

Tears still remained in her eyes.

"She showed me."

Irina’s heart began beating faster.

Then another thought entered her mind.

One that was even more important.

If this really was the goddess the witches served, then perhaps she possessed knowledge that nobody on Earth had.

Knowledge about the ancient forces surrounding them.

Knowledge about the vampires.

Knowledge about the strange powers they had encountered.

Maybe even knowledge about why vampires existed in the first place.

Irina’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Could she...

Could this woman actually have the answer?

The answer they had been searching for?

The answer to the vampire problem that had plagued Earth for so long?

Irina slowly looked back at the Seer.

For the first time since entering this place, hope began to replace uncertainty in her eyes.

If the being standing before them truly was the goddess the witches worshipped, then perhaps she wasn’t merely the end of their journey.

Perhaps she was the answer to everything.

And perhaps, for the first time, they were standing before someone powerful enough to tell them exactly how the vampires could finally be eradicated.
