Alan’s expression became serious as he tried to decide where he should focus his attention. If he went to help Alex, the Master-rank guards fighting the Dream Demon and Shadow Demon could continue dying.

But if he went to help the guards, Alex would have to continue fighting the terrifying Null Demon alone. And there were still the two unknown Grandmaster-rank auras approaching them.

’Just what the hell happened in last few minutes ’

Alan couldn’t understand how everything had gone wrong so quickly. The situation had already become chaotic, and he was still trying to figure out where the greatest threat was.

’And what about the reinforcements?’

The alarm had already been activated when the demons escaped from the containment rooms, yet the reinforcements still hadn’t arrived.

Ten minutes earlier, when the alarm first rang, Steve had been sleeping peacefully in his room. He immediately woke up after hearing the alarm and quickly realized that something had gone wrong.

Steve then moved toward the surveillance room to find out what had happened. His expression was already filled with anger, and as soon as he reached the surveillance room, he found chaos everywhere. The moment he entered, everyone inside froze.

Grandmaster Steve didn’t waste any time. He immediately walked toward the main screen and looked at the displayed footage. What he saw made his expression become even darker. All the demons inside the containment section had been freed, and the ones responsible for freeing them appeared to be several Diamond rank demons.

Steve couldn’t understand where those Diamond-rank demons had come from. There weren’t supposed to be that many demons of that level inside the facility, and certainly not in that section. Steve then turned toward one of the men responsible for monitoring the containment rooms and asked in an angry tone, "Where did these demons come from? And why haven’t you informed me that someone sneaked into the containment section and was trying to free the other demons?"

The man immediately became nervous and answered, "These demons just suddenly appeared inside the rooms from thin air, as if they had been teleported there."

Steve frowned after hearing the answer. He then looked toward everyone else in the surveillance room before asking again, "But why didn’t any of you inform me when someone entered those rooms?"

Everyone lowered their heads in fear. No one dared to answer him. Steve’s expression became even angrier, and he then shouted, "WHY?"

His voice echoed throughout the entire surveillance room. After a few moments of silence, one of the men finally gathered enough courage to answer, "We... we weren’t keeping a close watch on those rooms. We were monitoring the other sections because nothing had ever gone wrong in that section for years. We didn’t think something like this would suddenly happen."

Steve’s expression turned cold after hearing those words. For years, nothing had happened there, and because of that, these guys had become careless. Now, that carelessness had allowed several demons to escape from their restraints.

Steve wanted to punish them, but this wasn’t the time for that. He needed to focus on the problem happening right now. He left the surveillance room angrily without doing anything, and as soon as he exited, he found Dr. Samuel and Klein waiting outside.

Dr. Samuel immediately asked, "What happened, Grandmaster Steve? Why did the alarm go off?"

Steve answered without wasting any time, "Dr. Samuel, all the demons from Rooms 1 to 8 have been freed, and they are now trying to escape."

After saying this, he turned toward Klein and continued, "Teleport Dr. Samuel somewhere outside and safe, then reach Section 1 and help me kill those demons. I’m going to get the others ready by giving them the right artifacts so they can’t be influenced by the demons from Room 2 and Room 7. "

And before any of two could ask how this happened Steve said "We’ll talk about how this happened later. There is no time to discuss it right now."

Klein nodded, but then asked, "What about reinforcements? Should I request reinforcements from Headquarters?"

Steve shook his head and replied, "No need. There are only three Grandmaster-rank demons, while we have four Grandmasters. It shouldn’t be difficult to defeat them, especially since all of them are already weakened. Only that Vampire might pose a problem for us. Now, just go and don’t waste any more time."

Back to the present, Alan was still thinking about where he should go first when Steve suddenly entered the battlefield.

Steve was holding a spear in his hand, and a large group of Master-rank guards followed behind him. All of them were wearing specially enchanted armor designed to prevent the Dream Demon’s abilities from affecting their minds.

As soon as Steve entered the battlefield, his body became enveloped in brilliant Light Element mana. A powerful light spread from his body and covered the entire corner of the section, leaving almost no place untouched by its radiance.

The sudden light immediately disrupted the shadows throughout the area.

Steve then moved at a frightening speed.

Before anyone could properly react, he had already appeared behind one of the guards. He raised his spear and struck directly at the guard’s shadow.

A painful scream suddenly echoed throughout the entire section, causing everyone nearby to momentarily turn their attention toward the source of the sound.

The attack hadn’t struck the guard himself. Instead, Steve’s spear had pierced directly into the guard’s shadow, where the Shadow Demon had been hiding.

The moment the spear made contact, the darkness beneath the guard began twisting violently. The Shadow Demon’s hidden form was forcibly dragged out of the shadow, its body becoming visible as it struggled against the attack.

The Shadow Demon immediately tried to escape by moving into another nearby shadow, attempting to teleport away before the surrounding guards could react. However, Steve reacted even faster and followed it without giving it any opportunity to hide again.

The moment the Shadow Demon emerged from the other shadow, Steve was already there waiting for it.
