Maybe I really am a Villian

Chapter 224: Unexpected Guest 2

Inside her blood barrier, Ravena immediately sensed the approaching explosion. Because it was her own Domain, she could sense almost everything happening within it. She could feel the movement of the blood, the changes in mana, and even the exact moment when the explosion finally reached Asher’s vessels.

Then, something suddenly changed.

Their presence disappeared completely.

All of them had died.

Ravena smiled when she sensed this. She finally knew that the terrifying existence that had been threatening her had been completely destroyed. For the first time since the battle began, she felt a sense of relief, believing that the greatest danger had finally disappeared.

"Finally, everything is okay now. Those humans are dead, and before dying, they even helped me get rid of that scary thing. Now I’m finally free. I just have to survive this explosion and then escape before anyone else arrives."

Ravena continued holding her blood barrier together as the explosion finally reached her. The enormous wave of destructive energy slammed into the barrier, causing the entire shield to violently tremble under the tremendous force.

Cracks immediately began appearing across its surface, but Ravena quickly repaired them by continuously manipulating the blood around her. She poured more mana into the barrier while maintaining complete control over it.

The destructive wave continued for a long time. Ravena remained inside the barrier, constantly repairing it and enduring the enormous pressure. Her expression became increasingly serious as she struggled to maintain the defense.

Eventually, the intensity of the explosion began to decrease.

After some more time, the explosion finally ended. Ravena slowly opened her blood barrier and carefully sensed her surroundings. The scene around her was completely different from how her Domain had looked before.

Ravena carefully sensed the surroundings once again. There was no trace of Asher’s vessels anywhere. There was also no sign of Steve, Klein, Alan, or Alex.

She remained silent for a moment before finally saying, "There’s no one here... That thing really died."

The relief in her voice was difficult to hide. Her Domain had been severely damaged, and she could sense that it was already close to collapsing.

If she deactivated it now, she would only recover a small amount of the mana she had originally invested into creating the Domain. However, Ravena didn’t care about that anymore.

The remaining mana was still more than enough for her to escape from the facility. She had survived, and that was all that mattered to her at this moment.

Without wasting any more time, Ravena finally deactivated her Domain. The enormous blood-filled world gradually disappeared, and the surrounding space began returning to normal.

Ravena’s body reappeared in the real world.

As soon as Ravena reappeared in the real world, she suddenly felt something strike her body. Before she could understand what had happened, she sensed several powerful presences surrounding her. When she looked around, she found six of Asher’s demon vessels standing around her, each holding a sword covered in dark fog.

All six swords had already been driven into Ravena’s body at non-fatal points. Her expression immediately changed as the strange dark fog surrounding the weapons began spreading through her body. The moment it entered her wounds, she felt a strange force interfering with her mind and weakening her consciousness.

Ravena felt her awareness gradually becoming weaker. Her thoughts became slower, and her senses started fading. For a brief moment, she felt as if she would lose consciousness completely. However, Ravena refused to give in. She desperately held onto her consciousness and forced herself to remain awake.

Then, Ravena suddenly released a large amount of blood from her body. Countless sharp blood spikes erupted outward in every direction, forcing the vessels surrounding her to retreat. Ravena thought she had successfully created enough distance between herself and the vessels, but the situation was not as simple as she expected.

Only three of the vessels actually moved away. The other three remained in place without showing any hesitation. They immediately summoned dark mana spheres in their hands and attacked Ravena at the same time, completely ignoring the blood spikes that were already approaching their bodies.

The three dark spheres struck Ravena’s two legs and one arm. Ravena tried to defend herself, but the attacks came too quickly. The dark spheres struck her limbs with tremendous force, destroying them completely. At the same time, Ravena’s blood spikes pierced the three vessels.

The three vessels were badly injured, with blood pouring from their bodies. However, they didn’t seem to care about their injuries. Even after being pierced by Ravena’s blood spikes, they continued their attack without hesitation. Their bodies eventually collapsed, but they had already accomplished their purpose.

Ravena immediately reacted by manipulating the blood released from the dead vessels. She absorbed it into her own body, hoping to replenish some of the strength she had lost. However, the moment she absorbed the blood, her expression suddenly changed, and she immediately coughed out more blood.

Her body felt strangely weak, and an unfamiliar sensation spread through her veins. Ravena frowned deeply as she tried to understand what was happening. She immediately realized that something was wrong with the blood she had absorbed from the vessels, and a single thought appeared in her mind.

She muttered quietly, "Poison?"

Before Ravena could think any further, the remaining vessels suddenly appeared around her again. They didn’t give her even a moment to recover. Several dark rods appeared in their hands, and they immediately drove them into Ravena’s body at carefully chosen points.

The attacks weren’t aimed at killing her. Instead, they were specifically targeting areas that would restrict her movements. Ravena tried to resist, but the poison was already spreading through her body, making her movements increasingly sluggish and her strength noticeably weaker.

At the same time, the dark fog surrounding the vessels once again began spreading toward her. The strange fog covered Ravena’s body, making it even harder for her to concentrate. She gritted her teeth and desperately tried to maintain control over her blood.
