Asher looked at Cassie for a moment before answering in his usual playful tone, "They wouldn’t, but yeah, I killed them because I needed their blood and their bodies to help recover the demons here. You know, I couldn’t really deal with everyone here alone, so I had to kill them."

He paused briefly before continuing, "If I had been strong enough to kill every Master-rank and above expert here without letting anyone know what happened, I would have killed them without even touching anyone else."

Asher shrugged casually.

"But sadly, I was too weak, so I had to make use of their bodies instead."

There was no sadness or regret in his voice as he said it. He spoke about the deaths as if he were simply explaining something completely ordinary.

Asher then looked directly at Cassie and continued in a calm, almost playful tone, "And really, you shouldn’t be saying that to me out of all people. Aren’t you the one who also killed someone simply because of a vision you had about ten years ago?"

Cassie’s face suddenly lost all its colour. All the anger she had been feeling toward Asher disappeared instantly, replaced by nothing but dread. She stared at him as he continued smiling calmly, as if he had just revealed something completely ordinary.

’How does he know about that? No one should know about it other than me and Audrey.’

Cassie swallowed nervously before asking in a trembling voice, "How do you know about that?"

Asher’s smile widened slightly as he looked at her. "Ohh, so I was right as expected. I still had some doubts about who killed her, but I guess it really was you yourself."

He paused for a moment, studying Cassie’s expression before continuing, "I guess you are stronger than I thought. After all, you were able to kill her yourself."

Cassie’s expression became tense, but before she could respond, Asher continued speaking in his usual calm manner.

"And how was I able to know that? Well, it was because I took the body of that Olivia who was also present there. Even though you altered her memories, there were still some traces left behind. You should have erased her memories completely instead."

Cassie’s face became even more serious as she listened to him.

’So he is the reason she disappeared... Just how much does he know?’

The more Asher spoke, the more Cassie realized that he knew far more than she had initially imagined. She had thought she could keep that incident hidden forever, but the man standing before her had somehow uncovered the truth from a single corpse and the traces left behind.

Then, after thinking for a moment, Asher suddenly added, "Ohh, also, since someone altered her memories, there must have been someone else with you as well."

He tilted his head slightly, as if genuinely curious.

"I wonder who it was."

Cassie immediately started sweating from tension.

’If he discovers that someone else was involved...’

She didn’t even dare finish the thought.

If that information became known to someone like Edward, she didn’t even want to imagine what would happen to her and Audrey. It could expose everything they had tried to hide and potentially put the entire political structure of the Continent into chaos.

Asher looked at Cassie’s increasingly tense expression before his playful smile slowly disappeared.

"Don’t worry. I don’t care about what you did, and I have no intention of making it public."

As soon as Cassie heard this, she felt both relieved and guilty, her emotional state becoming a mess. But Asher just continued.

If you want, I can also

His voice became more serious.

"What I’m saying is that you shouldn’t lecture me about killing people based only on assumptions. When you do that, it really makes you look like a hypocrite, don’t you think?"

He paused for a moment before continuing, "And I really don’t like hypocrites."

Cassie remained silent, unable to immediately find an answer to his words.

Asher then looked at her calmly and said, "And besides, I’m not a hypocrite like you. I don’t lecture other people about morality. I kill because it benefits me or because I need to protect myself."

His expression remained strangely calm as he continued.

"And I also won’t blame someone else if they eventually kill me. If I’m willing to kill someone, then I should also be prepared to be killed by someone else."

He gave a small shrug.

"If I really die because someone stronger killed me, then that’s simply my fault for being too weak. I don’t see any reason to complain about it."

There was silence for a moment. Cassie remained quiet, her mental and emotional state completely unsettled. The more she thought about what Asher had said, the more she realized that his words were, in a strange way, correct. She couldn’t deny that she had acted hypocritically.

But isn’t almost every human a hypocrite in some way? Cassie thought, trying to justify her actions to herself.

Before she could think any further, Asher suddenly spoke in his usual playful tone.

"That’s enough philosophy for now, I guess."

Cassie looked at Asher, who was still smiling as if everything happening around him was nothing more than an interesting game. Even the lives of others seemed to hold little importance to him, as though their deaths were merely events that happened along the way.

Asher then looked at her and continued, "Now, for your other question. Are all of your visions wrong or not?"

Cassie immediately focused her attention on him.

"Your ability to see the future, like you did with those demon vessels of mine, is real. You sensed them before they even appeared and attacked them before they had the chance to react. So yeah your ability to see at least a few seconds into the future is definitely real."

He paused for a moment before continuing in a calmer tone. "But about your vision, they can be true or completely false, and I can’t say anything more than that."
