Maybe I really am a Villian

Cassie heard this, and once again, the only thing she felt was frustration. Everything Asher said seemed to make the situation even more complicated instead of actually explaining anything. Every answer he gave only created more questions in her mind, making it increasingly difficult for her to understand what he was truly planning.

Asher continued, "The future is really fickle. It can change because of a single, small action. Something that seems completely insignificant can change everything, so you shouldn’t depend on it too much. Don’t think about it too much either. Just think logically, and it would be better if you didn’t act based only on what you see in a vision."

After Asher finished speaking, Cassie’s frustration only grew stronger. She had expected clear answers, but instead, she felt as though she had been given another lecture.

She finally said, "Just answer the last question now, then. And I hope this time you won’t talk in circles and will actually explain it clearly, since that question is something you can easily answer because it is directly related to you."

Asher looked at Cassie for a moment before sighing.

"I see. You’re not going to take my advice, I guess. I wasn’t able to persuade you after all. Well, I’ve never been very good at persuading people, so I suppose that’s to be expected."

Cassie was just about to interrupt him because she felt he was wasting what little time they had left. However, before she could say anything, Asher spoke again in his usual playful tone.

"Your vision about me is actually true."

Cassie’s expression immediately became serious.

"Yeah, there will be destruction. There will be millions of deaths, and the cause of all of it will be solely me and no one else."

He paused briefly before continuing.

"But I don’t really want it to happen. You know, it has to happen for the sake of success. There is no other way."

As Cassie heard this, her expression became even more serious. She stared directly at Asher before asking, "What do you mean by that? Why do you need to kill everyone? Even if the other Grandmasters and powerful factions come after you, why would you need to kill innocent people and cause the destruction of the entire Continent?"

Asher looked at Cassie with a slightly confused expression, as though he found her question somewhat strange.

"I won’t kill them. They will simply die on their own."

Cassie’s expression changed slightly, but Asher continued before she could interrupt.

"As soon as I try to perform Pre-Apotheosis, or what you understand in your language as reaching the Immortal rank, though the two aren’t exactly the same, I will be defying the laws of Nature and the laws of this world."

He paused for a moment before continuing in a calm voice.

"As soon as I do that, the world itself will begin to crumble. Other celestial beings will also be able to influence this world. But don’t worry about them. As long as I am here, no one will come here ."

Asher’s playful expression slowly returned.

"But this world will eventually become one with the Realm of Death. Because of that, there will be many natural disasters, and the world itself will become increasingly unstable."

He looked at Cassie and continued, "So, most of the weaker living beings in this world will simply die on their own. I won’t have to do anything to them. Their deaths will only be a consequence of what happens when I attempt to cross that boundary."

"Apotheosis? Death Realm? Celestial beings? Crossing the boundary? What do you mean by all of this? And why do you even need to do that?" Cassie asked in a confused and angry tone, her frustration becoming more apparent with every question.

Asher simply replied, "Well, I am doing it so that I can finally be free from everything that could restrict me. And the Death Realm is just that—the Realm of Death. After it connects with this world, most people with weak souls and wills will die from its influence, like young children who haven’t even properly developed their consciousness, as well as many other weak creatures and beasts."

He paused for a moment before continuing in his usual calm tone.

"But most of the stronger people will be safe from its influence because it won’t affect them nearly as much. And it also won’t last for very long if I successfully complete the process."

Asher then looked at Cassie with his usual playful expression and said, "So, well, I guess I answered all your questions."

Cassie immediately responded in an angry tone, "So you’re going to do all of this because of your own selfish desire? Most of those children will die because of it, and you don’t even care about that? And you’re even joining hands with demons for this. Is that why you saved that Noble Vampire?"

Asher answered in a playful tone, "Yeah, you understood it, I guess."

He smiled slightly before continuing, completely unfazed by Cassie’s anger.

"I will do it. Many people will die, and I don’t care about that. And yes, I am also joining hands with the demons. I will make them attack the Human Continent and eliminate most of the people who could potentially disturb me or stand in my way."

Cassie remained silent for a moment after hearing his answer. His words were delivered so casually that they made the situation feel even more unsettling.

Asher, however, didn’t seem concerned by her reaction. He simply stood there with the same playful expression, as though he had just explained something completely ordinary rather than revealing a plan that could affect the fate of an entire World.

Cassie stayed silent for a moment, but anyone looking at her could tell that she was struggling to hold back her anger. Her expression remained serious, yet the tension in her face made it obvious that Asher’s words had deeply affected her.

And how could she not be angry?
