Asher looked at her with disappointment and then said, "I see. You have made a stupid choice, just as I expected. You really are stupid. Why does it matter if weak people die? If they are too weak to survive, then it is their own fault that they died."

He paused for a moment before continuing in his usual calm yet mocking tone. "And innocent? What a joke. No one is truly innocent in this world. One living being hunts another simply to survive, and you humans are perhaps the most despicable of all. Beasts hunt because they need food, but humans sometimes hunt simply for entertainment."

Asher’s expression remained playful as he looked directly at Cassie. "And, well, you humans might be just as bad as demons, if not worse."

He paused again, almost as if he had suddenly remembered something amusing.

"Let me show you what your Church was doing here before I leave."

As soon as he said this, the surrounding space suddenly began to react. Mana gathered around Asher, and the air itself seemed to distort as something was pulled out from his spatial storage.

Cassie’s expression immediately changed.

She instinctively activated her ability and looked a few seconds into the future. What she saw made her face lose its color, and for a moment, she felt as though she might become sick.

Asher had summoned the remains of the woman and the strange fetus-like creature that he had discovered inside the facility earlier.

Cassie stared at what had appeared before her, unable to hide the shock and disgust on her face.

Asher simply watched her reaction with his usual calm expression.

Cassie stood completely still, her eyes fixed on what Asher had revealed. For several moments, she couldn’t even form a single word. Her expression was filled with shock and disbelief as she tried to process what she had just seen.

Her hands slowly clenched into fists, and her breathing became heavier. She knew the Church had been investigating unusual things inside the facility, but she had never imagined that something like this could have been taking place there.

"This... this was done by the Church?" she finally asked, her voice trembling slightly.

Asher didn’t answer immediately. He simply watched her.

Cassie looked at the remains again, and her expression became increasingly complicated. Anger, disgust, and confusion mixed together in her eyes.

Asher just looked at her and then said, "You humans just live in ignorance and stay happy, leaving everything to luck. A minor amount of your species suffer while most of you continue living peacefully, never knowing what is happening beyond your understanding."

And then Asher said, "Well, that is enough time that I needed, so now let’s fight. Since you are going to be against me, I should just try to kill you here. Though killing you is impossible right now, I am sure I could at least injure you."

As he said that, a red aura started manifesting around his body, and the surrounding space began acting strangely, as if the space itself was being cut apart. Strange cracks appeared across the area around him, while several small cuts also began appearing on Asher’s own body.

The red aura gradually gathered around him and took the shape of a sword. The strange weapon formed completely in his hand, radiating an intense and dangerous presence.

Asher’s body was now covered with cracks and cuts, yet his expression remained calm and playful, as if the injuries were nothing more than a minor inconvenience. He slowly raised the red sword and looked directly at Cassie.

And then Asher said, "Do you know the saying, ’Sometimes the simplest solution is to cut the problem away?’"

He then slashed the sword toward her, and in the same instant, Asher’s entire body was cut apart as if something had sliced through him. The red sword disappeared completely, leaving no trace of the weapon behind.
