Chapter 1308: Copy And Paste

Anthony was no pushover. His katana rose, his body moving on pure reflex as he hadn’t exactly tracked the Dullahan’s movement speed, as it had been faster than he had anticipated. His katana positioned itself in an overhead horizontal block, and the moment it arrived in place, a thunderous clang tore through the very air as metal met metal.

Anthony’s expression changed into a frown as he couldn’t believe the amount of strength this Dullahan possessed; it was simply madness to him. His knees dipped forward under the force, the earth beneath his feet sinking in as the pressure intensified.

The reason Anthony was frowning was simple. Although his cultivation rank was at the Perfection Star Monarch rank, he wasn’t at that stage physically. His Beginning Of All Things Physique allowed him to fight two realms above his own realm, meaning he could match a Heavenforge cultivator. Yet, this Dullahan was matching him; it was truly surprising.

His muscles strained, his blood vessels snaking upwards as he straightened his body. Then, with immense force, he swung his katana forward, pushing Death Renderer back.

Death Renderer simply used Anthony’s momentum to leap into the air, twisting before landing on his feet. The moment he landed, he shot forward like a bolt of lightning, his greatsword screaming towards Anthony’s head. But Anthony wasn’t caught off guard this time, his katana flashing forward as he moved with a grin.

With another thunderous shockwave, their weapons met, destroying everything within a five-hundred-meter radius. Without a shred of hesitation, they both vanished into blurs of opposite colors, one black and the other white.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!

Their speed seemed to match just as perfectly as their strength. Anthony’s katana closed in on the Dullahan’s neck, but Death Renderer simply bent backwards and dodged. The moment he did, he immediately recovered as he swung heavily towards Anthony’s waist, the wind tearing apart beneath the powerful swing.

But just because Anthony used a katana with one hand, while Death Renderer wielded a heavy greatsword with two, didn’t mean Anthony was at a disadvantage. No, instead, he met the attack head-on with a smile on his face.

A ravine tore open beneath their feet as the mountain behind them collapsed in totality, but they were already gone. Thousands of high-speed sword attacks were unleashed, but just as their attacks were flawless, each other’s defense was impregnable.

’I see,’ Anthony thought to himself as he sidestepped a slash aimed at his chest and unleashed a counterattack, only for Death Renderer to block it.

’No wonder The Perfect One skill went off. They were analyzing my physical prowess, strength, speed, agility, reaction time, and everything else. Then copied and pasted it into the Dullahan,’ Anthony deduced as he moved.

He had guessed this earlier, but he needed more information to be certain.

’Let’s see if they replicated my comprehended Laws as well,’ Anthony mused to himself.

With that thought in mind, the Law Of Wind hummed around him, his speed increasing in real time as the Law Of Wind roared across his blade in perfect harmony.

As the Law Of Wind hummed around him, he didn’t hesitate to capitalize on the split second in which the Dullahan hadn’t called upon his own Law and attacked.

He vanished from his position, his body moving like the wind and with the wind, flickering out of existence for a moment. The next instant, his katana severed the Dullahan’s right arm from the shoulder. The severed arm soared upwards before hitting the ground with a thud as black blood splattered into the air.

Anthony didn’t hesitate. The moment he arrived a couple of meters behind the Dullahan after the first slash, he immediately turned as he moved to press his advantage. But the Dark Knight was no pushover; the greatsword, which had been in his severed hand, immediately appeared in his left hand. The Law Of Wind screamed around his body as he instantly blocked Anthony’s follow-up attacks with calm ease.

The hand that lay on the ground immediately shot out a black tendril, which latched onto Death Renderer’s shoulder where black shadows could be seen as black blood dripped to the ground. The moment the connection was established, the arm reconnected perfectly, his injury vanishing.

Although Dullahans didn’t exactly possess hard physical bodies, as they were born in a state between ethereal and smoke and were always covered in armor, they still bled real blood, just like every race within the Upper Galaxy. Till this day, nobody could understand why.

’That confirms my guess. They must have also copied and pasted my Laws,’ Anthony thought to himself after seeing the Dullahan use the Law Of Wind just like him.

As for skills and abilities, Anthony doubted things went that far.

Both Anthony and Death Renderer continued moving, their speed climbing with each passing moment. They seemed to blink in and out of reality as they moved with the wind itself, the raw power of the Embodiment-stage Law Of Wind showing itself in full force. At this moment, they no longer seemed to possess physical bodies, as their forms were no different from the wind itself. If one looked towards them, they wouldn’t see either of them, but would only hear the constant clash of metal.

Anthony leaped backwards as he created some distance between himself and the Dark Knight, his sword slashing outwards as he unleashed a barrage of Light-based attacks, the Law Of Light streaking outwards in crescent forms.

Death Renderer didn’t bother swinging his sword. The Law Of Space hummed around him as he simply vanished from where he stood, teleporting directly towards Anthony’s location. But Anthony had already sensed the fluctuations of space through his own Law Of Space.

In tandem with the Law Of Light humming around him, the Law Of Space responded to his call as he instantly opened up a portal that swallowed Death Renderer’s sword whole. Another portal opened behind the Dullahan, his sword appearing from it as it moved to carve an injury into him. But Death Renderer seemed to have noticed it as he immediately tapped into the Law Of Light, his body exploding into a shower of Light Photons as he instantly dodged.

The next moment, his body reassembled a couple of meters away. The moment he was whole again, the Law Of Shadow resonated around his sword as he unleashed an upward slash, a dark slash streaking outwards.

Anthony shifted into the Law Of Shadow as well, the light around his blade fizzling out as the Law Of Shadow snaked around his katana. Without a shred of hesitation, he unleashed his own dark katana slash.

But Anthony’s attack didn’t target Death Renderer’s attack. No, he targeted Death Renderer himself. And with overwhelming force, both thin, dark sword-line attacks tore into their opponents as neither of them bothered to block.

Anthony’s body tore open as a diagonal injury traced across his chest, shoulder, stomach, and face. Blood splattered into the air, pain blooming across his body, but Anthony didn’t care. The attack had only landed because he wanted it to land.

Upon the Dark Knight, his own armor burst apart, his head severed, and his limbs torn apart. With a singular slash, Anthony had dealt considerably more damage.

Anthony stared down at his injury. He could feel a corrosive force spreading through his body as Death Renderer’s Law Of Shadow possessed corrosive effects that corroded his opponents into a dark, black puddle while also siphoning their blood.

Anthony’s own dark sword attack possessed a corruption effect, as he corrupted both the minds and bodies of his opponents.
