Sly realized that the stronger he got the more the boundaries of his spirit landscape expanded.

Right now it appears empty despite being vast and expansive.

Mimosa had been doing a little gardening that seemed to be coming along nicely near Sly’s spiritual pond.

If it wasn’t for his spiritual guardian the space would appear barren and desolate and Sly showed his appreciation by hugging Mimosa.

Sly left Mimosa’s side and went to explore the rest of his spirit landscape.

mentally he was envisioning a future where his spirit landscape was filled to the brim.

With dense tropical jungles, with hanging vines from trees that crisscrossed, not to mention exotic flowers and plants.

In his spare time he could do gardening and cut down on his food expenses by planting fruits and vegetables.

Sly didn’t realize that Instructor Emma had also used her mental tendrils to follow behind Sly discreetly as he entered his spirit landscape.

It was the teacher’s responsibility to monitor her students while ensuring their safety and assess their learning progress.

If any of her students should fall into difficulty or feel overwhelmed as a healing guide Instructor Emma would use her spiritual tendrils to soothe the student then teach them patiently how to overcome their difficulty.

Curious, she observed Sly hugging a particular plant and went over after Sly left its side for further investigation.

Immediately the green shrub’s natural beauty was lustrous and nothing like the wilted weed Sly had shown to the class earlier and had Instructor Emma fascinated.

Everything about this glowing magnificent spirit plant compelled Instructor Emma to draw closer to observe it unhindered in its natural state.

The tips of its newly tender sprouted green leaves were crystal clear.

As it was shedding like some plants do at the end of a season since Autumn was finally drawing to a close.

Puzzled, Instructor Emma slowly moved her mental tendrils closer to probe and hopefully not frighten away the little sprite-like plant.

The pond was surrounded by acres of grassy plains filled with herbs, flowers and exotic plants but somehow the mysterious spirit plant was not like the others.

It was sentient, and in Sly’s spirit landscape it was obvious that this rare variety of mimosa plant was most precious.

If the powers of this spirit plant were properly harnessed, Sly could move easily from B-tier to S+tier.

Essentially with an additional ability as a healer, Sly could also effectively learn to treat toxins and poisons.

To stay in her class and not move up the ranks was a big disservice to Sly’s potential growth.

She would need to refer Sly to a spirit plant specialist who could provide Sly with a proper foundation and teach him more than the basics.

The plant sprite yawned and then stretched out from the stem and then comfortably swayed slightly on some invisible wind that only it alone felt.

It felt very proud and also protective of a small flower bud that adorned the top of the green sprite’s head.

Tickled by the invisible wind the sensitive plant laughed to itself, the small bud let out some tiny parasitic spores that wanted to give trouble.

Unaware that he was being watched, Mimosa scolded the mischievous parasitic spores that danced on the invisible wind.

Until they reached one of Instructor Emma’s mental tendrils and then attracted the rest of the parasitic spores descended and forcibly latched on.

What naughty little spores, thought Instructor Emma, her position was revealed before she could make further observations on this remarkable spirit plant.

The little sprite was startled by this intrusion in his territory not wanting to harm Sly’s sweet instructor who had no malicious intent towards him Mimosa had no choice but to retreat.

Shocked at being discovered in its natural state by Sly’s instructor, Mimosa retreated by plunging into Sly’s spiritual pond.

Hidden by the deceptive still water, the sensitive plant hid shyly until Instructor Emma withdrew her spiritual tendrils.

Only then Mimosa unfurled his growing vine-like body with numerous tender green leaves.

He let out a small yawn and untangled some of his knotted vines with a hint of laziness.

When Instructor Emma finally withdrew from Sly’s spirit landscape only then did he resurface at the top of Sly’s spiritual pond.

Mimosa allowed the water to soak through the pores of his vines until the veins were sufficiently filled and he was no longer thirsty.

He had been avoiding the pond for days because after Sly went into a coma the temperature of his spirit landscape had dropped to the freezing negatives forcing Mimosa into hibernation.

Now that Sly was doing well mentally his spirit landscape had begun to thaw and feel climate controlled.

Mimosa felt so comfortable that the tips of his leaves were trembling with satisfaction that his master was no longer upset or in a sad state.

After submitting his short essay class was officially over for the day.

Sly could finally head home to his private apartment and get some much needed rest when Mimosa’s voice alerted him to something strange.

Master, there is an unconscious sentinel straight ahead if you turn left you can avoid him but it will take a much longer time to reach your apartment.

After pondering for a moment, that simply wouldn’t do, his body was exhausted both physically and mentally.

At this rate Sly just wanted to land in his bed and get some sleep he would just ignore the sentinel and hurry home to Preston Hall.

The sentinel’s body was blocking the path, he was still breathing though barely.

Sly would recognize this particular sentinel anywhere it was Khaldun Wolfe.

His normally meticulous sentinel uniform was in disarray, Khaldun’s black hair was matted and tangled, from head to toe the S-tier alpha was covered in dirt and grime.

As Sly contemplated calling for help and then disappearing before anyone could ask questions of him Sly felt a chilling sensation as if a feral beast was targeting the nape of his neck.

Feeling threatened Sly turned to run away but then the sentinel suddenly moved and trapped Sly in his arms.

Forced to look up, Sly made eye contact with familiar mismatched eyes, which under the glow of the street light lamp, glinted with deadly intent.

His spritchoker told Sly that Khaldun was approaching rampage mode but not high enough yet to warrant a public announcement of emergency guiding from the public.

Khaldun’s chaotic spirit energy radiated from his body, bursting with untamed ferocity, the two were extremely close, their lips almost touching.
