The man’s fist crashed against the crossed weapons. The force pushed Nobody backward. His boots scraped across the concrete. He managed to stop himself.
"...Okay." He looked at the man. "That one actually has some weight."
The metallic man rushed forward again.
Nobody didn’t meet him directly. He activated Zig Zag Teleportation.
FLASH.
The metallic man punched empty air. Nobody appeared behind him. He swung a crowbar toward the man’s back. The weapon struck. The metallic body barely reacted.
Nobody immediately teleported away.

He appeared several meters away. The man turned.
Nobody stared. "That didn’t work either."

Nobody stepped around him. Then struck the back of his knee. The metallic man stumbled. But didn’t fall. He turned around almost immediately.
Nobody backed away. "You’re really annoying."
The man smiled. "And you’re really weak."
Several other enhanced men started moving.
Nobody glanced around. "Wait." He pointed at them. "One at a time."
The crowd didn’t listen. They all charged.
Nobody sighed. "Of course."
The first attacker came from the left. Nobody dodged. The second attacked from the right. He blocked. A third tried to grab him. Nobody activated Zig Zag.
FLASH.
He vanished. The three men collided with one another.
Nobody appeared several meters away. He looked at them. "...Still works."
A man with metallic arms charged. Nobody moved toward him. At the last moment, he jumped. The attacker swung beneath him. Nobody twisted in midair. He landed behind the man and struck the back of his shoulder.
The man stumbled.
Another attacker rushed him.
Nobody’s reflexes reacted. He blocked the incoming weapon. Then kicked the attacker’s leg. The man lost balance. Nobody struck his wrist. The weapon fell.

The crowd was still surrounding him. And unlike the enemies he had fought throughout the night, these people were different. They weren’t simply strong. Something else was strengthening them. Something outside their natural abilities.

Nobody tightened his grip around the frost crowbars. "Alright." He stepped forward. "First I save the kid." He looked at the strange metallic men. "Then I figure out what the hell is happening here."
The metallic attacker from before stepped forward again. His grin had disappeared. "You aren’t leaving."
Nobody smiled beneath his helmet. "That’s funny." Blue energy began gathering around his body. "I was about to say the same thing."
The strange aura around the facility grew darker. The metallic enemies charged. Nobody disappeared.

He reappeared directly among them.
Nobody wasn’t simply fighting criminals. He was fighting against the influence of something that shouldn’t have existed in their world at all.

The moment Nobody disappeared into the crowd, the metallic attackers surrounded the area. Their bodies reflected the dim industrial lights.
Some had silver-colored arms. Others had metallic plates covering their shoulders, chest and legs. The strange energy beneath their skin pulsed irregularly,almost like something was forcing their bodies to become stronger.
Nobody reappeared several meters away. He immediately looked around. "That’s more of you than I expected."

Another enemy attacked from behind. Nobody sensed the movement. He turned and crossed both crowbars. The weapon struck against them. The force pushed him several meters across the concrete.
Nobody planted his feet. His boots scraped against the floor before he stopped. He looked at the attacker. "Okay." He rotated his shoulders. "That one had some punch to it."
The metallic man charged again. Nobody didn’t wait. Blue energy surrounded his body.

He disappeared. The attacker punched empty air. Nobody reappeared above him. He dropped down and struck the man’s shoulder with both crowbars. The metallic body bent slightly. But the man remained standing.
Nobody landed and immediately teleported away.
FLASH.
He appeared near another enemy. That man swung. Nobody ducked. Another attacked. He blocked.
A third came from behind. Nobody twisted around. His reflexes allowed him to react before the attacker could properly complete the movement. He stepped inside the man’s range and struck his chest.
The man staggered. Nobody struck again.
The metallic attacker finally collapsed.

He disappeared. The attacker followed. Nobody appeared behind him. The attacker turned surprisingly fast. His fist was already coming toward Nobody. Nobody barely avoided it. The fist passed within centimeters of his helmet.
Nobody’s eyes widened. "...You’re learning."
The attacker grinned. Nobody immediately moved backward. Another enemy charged. Then another.
Nobody found himself surrounded. He looked left, right and behind. "...Yeah." He tightened his grip. "This is getting ridiculous."
The enemies attacked simultaneously. Nobody’s body reacted almost automatically. His super reflexes took control. He moved between the attacks. A metal fist passed over his head. He ducked beneath another.
A weapon came from the side. He blocked it with one crowbar. Another attack came from behind.
Zig Zag activated.
FLASH.
Nobody vanished. The attackers hit each other.
Nobody reappeared several meters away. He looked toward them. "...You guys really need better coordination."
One of the metallic men roared. Then charged. Nobody raised his crowbar. The man’s fist collided with it. The force pushed Nobody backward. He slid across the concrete.
He looked at his arm. "...That hurt."
The attacker came again. Nobody blocked. The second impact pushed him farther. Nobody suddenly planted both feet.
He stopped himself. Then smiled. "Okay." He raised both crowbars. "My turn."
Nobody rushed forward. He didn’t try to overpower the metallic man. Instead, he used his speed.
One strike toward the shoulder. A second toward the knee. A third toward the wrist.
The attacker blocked the first. Missed the second. And barely avoided the third.
Nobody teleported.
FLASH.
He appeared behind him. The attacker turned. Nobody was already moving. He struck the man’s ankle. The metallic body lost balance. Nobody swept his leg away. The attacker crashed onto the concrete.

Nobody looked toward the remaining group. "Two." Then something caught his attention.
