My Clones Can Cultivate

Chapter 175: Another legendary state (2)

Chapter 174

"When did Brother Yu get here?" A calm female voice suddenly spoke beside them.

Li Jie and Li Xie’s ears perked up, their eyes suddenly widened as that voice was familiar... way too familiar... and they immediately turned around.

And there she stood: Li Yuexin was standing right beside them, her gaze locked onto one single person, Liyu.

The moment they saw her, Li Xie and Li Jie were stunned, then both of them immediately appeared at her side, asking her questions and making sure she was fine.

"Yuexin, are you alright?"

"When did you wake up?"

"Do you feel anything strange?"

Their questions came one after another, but Li Yuexin was able to answer all of them with a calm gaze and a small, warm smile, knowing she had genuinely made the two brothers worry themselves half to death.

After confirming that she was indeed fine, the two brothers finally relaxed, and then they began telling her everything that had happened ever since she lost consciousness, telling her how Liyu had swooped in at the very last moment.

How he had managed to take down Shi Lan and crush him with brutal efficiency, and then telling her how he had taken down Guan Feng and Guan Jian as well.

After that came the tough battle between him and Shi Mo, the gravity user, telling her everything without leaving out a single important detail... including the fact that the battle between Liyu and Guan Haoran had already lasted for several hours, and that the battle wasn’t merely exciting, but catastrophic.

With every exchange between the two having shaken the entire battlefield and created enough force to make even those watching from the sidelines feel the terror of what was happening.

Li Yuexin listened to everything, surprise flashing through her eyes again and again, and the more she listened, the more shocked she became, knowing based on everything she learned from the duo that it was all true, since after all, they had no reason to lie to her.

That meant everything they had told her was true, and if that was the case... then if Liyu managed to take down Haoran, he would be only one fight away from becoming the sole winner of the tournament, having already managed to take down four opponents all by himself without even getting serious, based on the brothers’ explanation.

That fact alone was enough to send waves through Li Yuexin’s heart... happiness, excitement, shock, disbelief, and many other emotions she couldn’t even properly put into words.

She knew Liyu was powerful, far more powerful than those in the same stage as him, having already known that for quite some time, but never in her wildest dreams would she have thought that he was capable of fighting across realms, something that was thought to be completely impossible.

The gap between realms wasn’t merely a matter of having slightly more qi, but represented a fundamental difference in strength, comprehension, physical body, and the amount of power one could control.

Fighting across a realm was already something extremely rare, yet Liyu had done it not once, but repeatedly.

Several emotions flashed through Li Yuexin’s eyes, but eventually they all vanished, replaced by the one she felt the most: happiness.

A small smile appeared on her lips because she could finally see it... Liyu was the opposite of who he used to be, no longer frail, no longer weak, no longer the person who could only stand by while others looked down on him, but strong, maybe a little too strong, even.

Now he could leave as freely as he wanted without being scowled at or looked down upon, could walk through the world with his head held high, and no longer needed anyone to protect him.

Thinking about that genuinely made Li Yuexin happy, and her eyes softened as she looked at Liyu’s back, noting that his aura was still at the very first stage of the Qi Gathering Realm, yet despite that, the power radiating from his body was so immense that she felt slightly suffocated simply by being near him... an absurd amount of power for someone at his realm.

Without anyone needing to tell her, she could be a hundred percent certain that Liyu was far, far more powerful than her, being too powerful, far too powerful, even.

And yet... despite knowing all of that, Li Yuexin didn’t feel relieved, instead finding her brows furrowed in contemplation as she looked at the tornado that was slowly thinning away, wondering why she still felt as if all his power wouldn’t be enough to win this match.

The thought appeared in her mind, and she couldn’t shake it away, keeping her eyes fixed on the stage as the qi tornado continued to shrink, thinner and thinner, until finally... the raging tornado completely thinned away.

The vast amount of World Qi that had been swirling around the battlefield finally dispersed, revealing the figure standing calmly amidst it.

Back on the stage... Guan Haoran’s figure was finally revealed, still the same obsidian color as before with his entire figure having been obscured by the raging qi tornado moments ago, but if there was one thing that was different, then it had to be his white marks.

Before, they had been nothing more than white veins running across his dark body, pulsing rhythmically like a heartbeat, looking slightly intimidating even back then and giving his already strange appearance an even more ominous feeling, but now... that was totally different, because Haoran’s dark body was covered in several white marks and lines that seemed to swirl around him.

They were no longer simple veins, but looked like tattoos carved into his body by nature itself... strange, intricate white patterns spread across his obsidian skin, intertwining with one another in a way that seemed almost impossible to comprehend.

And the strangest part was that they seemed to move, not because Haoran was moving, but because the marks themselves were moving, slowly shifting and twisted across his body like living things beneath his skin.

At times it converged toward certain parts of his body before spreading out again almost as if they possessed a life of their own, if that made any sense... though that was exactly how Liyu felt when looking at them, feeling that they were alive.

His eyes slowly moved upward before locking onto another difference in Haoran’s figure: his hair. It was no longer black, but white now... pure white, with every strand seeming to glow faintly, carrying the same ethereal radiance as his white, glowing eyes.

And yet, even that wasn’t the greatest difference, since the most terrifying change of all was none other than Guan Haoran’s aura, which was no longer the calm aura he had possessed before, but was now raging, overwhelming, like an endless ocean that had suddenly been stirred into a violent storm.

The pressure radiating from Haoran alone was so immense that even Liyu, despite being in his powerful hybrid form, felt suffocated, his body instinctively tensed, his breathing became slightly heavier, and the sheer pressure bearing down on him made every muscle in his body feel as though an invisible mountain was pressing against it.

This was not merely an increase in aura, but felt as though something fundamental within Haoran had changed, as though the amount of power contained within his body had suddenly reached an entirely different level.

Haoran slowly raised his head, his glowing white eyes locked onto Liyu, and the instant their gazes met, every hair on Liyu’s body stood on end while his instincts screamed, making him feel for a brief moment as though he was nothing more than a small prey being stared at by a deadly predator, a feeling that made his pupils contract as he wondered, What the hell is this guy...?

"Give up." Haoran’s voice came out brimming with vitality and power, every word carrying an indescribable weight, almost as if his voice itself was demanding dominance and reverence from everything around him.

Liyu raised an eyebrow at the guy’s words.

"Give up?" He shook his head. "Sorry, pal. But as you should have been able to tell, there is no way I’m giving this up." A small grin appeared on his face. "I will win this tournament no matter what." His grin widened slightly.

"What about you give up instead?" Liyu said that with a small smile, deliberately flashing his fangs at the guy.

But Haoran wasn’t intimidated, not even slightly, with his expression remaining calm and his glowing white eyes not fluctuating, as he instead spoke once more: "Give up."

Liyu raised an eyebrow, wondering if this guy was deaf or what, and shook his head. "No. I can’t give up."

Haoran remained silent, his face showing no expression apart from what seemed like the slightest trace of irritation, and then... he spoke another word, at least this one being different from before: "Okay."

The moment that word left his mouth... Haoran vanished.

Liyu sensed danger approaching almost instantly, his senses exploding into alert mode and his entire body reacting before his mind could even process what was happening, immediately raising his guard by crossing both arms directly above his head.

The next instant.... Guan Haoran appeared before him. There was no grand movement, no complicated technique, as he simply threw a punch that looked casual, almost careless, as if he were dealing with something completely insignificant.

BOOM!

The punch struck Liyu lightly, yet what that punch did next was anything but light, as Liyu’s body was violently hurled from the ground and sent flying into the air, his eyes widened, the bones in his arms groaned under the force, and then...

CRACK!

A small cracking sound echoed outward, his bones having cracked from that single attack, and before he could even react, his body was already sent flying backward, completely unable to resist because the force behind the attack was simply too overwhelming.

Liyu’s body smashed hard into the massive pillar behind him with a force that seemed to be completely out of this world.

BOOOOOOOM!

The enormous pillar trembled violently, dust and fragments of stone exploded outward from the point of impact and spread through the air as Liyu’s body remained embedded against the massive structure for a brief moment, and the entire arena fell silent.

At the seat of the leaders, Elder Ting shot up from his seat, his eyes widening in shock, though it wasn’t because of the casual ease with which Haoran seemed to have overpowered Liyu, since that wasn’t what shocked him.

What truly caused Elder Ting’s heart to race and his pulse to quicken was what he was sensing from Haoran at this very moment: that darkened body, those strange white marks, that white hair, those glowing eyes, and, most importantly... the boundless amount of Qi he could sense radiating from Haoran, which was as if Haoran’s body had become an endless vessel capable of producing and circulating an unlimited amount of Qi.

Elder Ting’s breathing became slightly heavier, his mind struggled to accept what his senses were telling him, and he thought, How can this be...? Another kid achieving another one of the legendary states?

His eyes remained fixed on Haoran, knowing there was no longer any doubt that that kid... without any doubt, was using another legendary state... a legendary state that Elder Ting had only ever seen mentioned in ancient records, a state that was said to allow one’s Qi to overflow beyond the natural limits of the body, continuously surging and replenishing itself without showing any signs of depletion.

Elder Ting’s pupils trembled, his voice almost escaping his lips, and he whispered:

"The State of Overflow..."
