The dozen or so Third Realm Cultivators were a great distance away. It seemed they were only here to watch out of curiosity and had no intention of interfering in this conflict.

CLANG!

CLANG!

Two consecutive sounds, like the clash of metal, rang out. It was the battle between the man wielding the Scholar’s Sword and the two Lishui Prefecture cultivators.

The shockwaves from these two clashes made the main peak of the towering True Yang Mountain tremble slightly. Rocks broke loose from the mountainsides, falling with a series of dull thuds. If not for the special reinforcement Array inside True Yang Mountain, the entire peak might have already collapsed.

Xin Shi felt a surge of anxiety. She quickly glanced at the deep crater on the ground below. The Token for the sect’s Mountain Protection Barrier had been in Chang Jing’s hands, but Chang Jing was now dead, and the Token was nowhere to be found. The only option left was to activate the barrier manually!

At this thought, her Primordial Spirit Consciousness descended deep into True Yang Mountain.

But just as her focus shifted, Feng Dan’s Three Yang True Flame rushed toward her. Dan Shi, who had been intercepting it, was already defeated. His broken body was plummeting toward the ground. All that remained of his once-majestic spear was a small fragment still clutched in his hand, burnt to scrap.

Watching Dan Shi fall, Xin Shi’s eyes were instantly filled with fiery light. She formed a Spell with her hands, and a red, foot-long ruler materialized before her. The moment the ruler appeared, mysterious Fire Spirit Runes unfurled from it. The Three Yang True Flame, which was about to strike her face, miraculously vanished upon encountering these runes.

No, the Three Yang True Flame hadn’t vanished—it had been absorbed by the Fire Spirit Runes!

Immediately after, a twisted, humanoid fire spirit with long, suppressed limbs broke through the barrier of reality and appeared beside Xin Shi. The instant it appeared, it transformed into Three Yang True Flame, shooting out Fire Dragons that pierced through space to attack the Three Yang True Flame formed from Feng Dan’s fiery transformation.

"I never thought the Red Jade Ruler would be in your hands!"

Feng Dan’s tone was grave, but he then shouted with unabated arrogance, "Even if you have a ’Grade B-plus’ Demon Soldier, you can’t stop me today!"

"Senior Brother, don’t be reckless!"

Ke Yue’s voice came from the side. She had already broken free from the Sun Sect cultivators she was with, as two more Third Realm Cultivators had rushed over to aid ’First Heaven’.

As she spoke, she appeared beside Feng Dan. Half of her Spiritual Body had already transformed into a state of twisting flame, with only the other half remaining stable and human. Yet, she could still maintain her basic humanity because the spiritual nature of her remaining half was exceptionally abundant—even more so than when her Spiritual Body was whole.

"We just need to hold her off. Once Senior Brother Luo Feng deals with those meddlers from Lishui Prefecture, everything will be easy."

As she spoke, her intact half reached into a storage pouch and pulled out a crystal brimming with dense Fire Spirit Qi. As soon as the crystal appeared, her other, twisted arm eagerly snatched it and crushed it. The dense Fire Spirit Qi surged through the twisted arm, igniting the Spirit Veins in that half of her body.

WHOOSH—

Rampant Three Yang True Flame engulfed Ke Yue’s body. With a series of flips and turns, she dispersed all the incoming Fire Dragons from the opposite side.

Feng Dan, however, flipped around and flew sideways, attempting to bypass the ’Red Jade Ruler’ and attack Xin Shi directly. At the same time, he shouted, "Junior Sister Xin Shi, if you don’t go save that precious disciple of yours, he might actually die! You’ve put your life on the line for True Yang Mountain for so long, are you going to sacrifice your disciple too?"

BOOM—

A clap of thunder suddenly echoed across the clear sky.

It was Magic cast by Wen Yuan, the Yuqing Sect’s most common ’Thunder Summoning Skill’. However, perhaps due to the weather, its power seemed lacking. Luo Feng, who wielded the Scholar’s Sword, took the hit directly and was completely unharmed.

However, lightning attacks have side effects. For instance, after taking the blow, Luo Feng’s consciousness momentarily faltered. The two Lishui Prefecture cultivators flanking him immediately formed a Spell and unleashed the most common yet offensive ’Ice Cone Technique’.

TING! TING!

Two crisp sounds echoed as a flash of cold light flickered. The Scholar’s Sword seemed to have a will of its own, autonomously blocking both attacks. It simply materialized out of thin air and then vanished again, without the slightest fluctuation of Spiritual Power.

"That feeling... was actually quite pleasant."

Luo Feng came to his senses. After scanning the battlefield, he stared at the two cultivators from Lishui Prefecture and said, "My path does not advocate for wanton slaughter, but if you continue to obstruct me, don’t blame the Scholar’s Sword for abandoning the way of the Gentleman."

Across from him, Wen Yuan and the two Lishui Prefecture cultivators exchanged glances. No one responded to Luo Feng’s warning. They were likely communicating via voice transmission. After a brief exchange, the two Lishui Prefecture cultivators formed a Spell, summoning their Jiao Dragon Primordial Spirits. As Water Spirit Qi spread out, translucent, crystalline water droplets instantly appeared.

SWISH—

A faint sound of something slicing through the air was heard. It was the water droplets manifested by the two Lishui Prefecture cultivators, moving at an imperceptible speed, piercing through space just like Luo Feng’s Scholar’s Sword.

"’The Art of Water Drops Piercing Stone,’ and it even contains a Water Spirit Array. Haha, excellent!"

For the first time, Luo Feng didn’t dare to receive the Magic head-on. As soon as the two Lishui Prefecture cultivators began casting, his body followed the hovering Scholar’s Sword, diving into a spatial rift. He then continuously shifted sideways, attempting to bypass the Magic and attack the two cultivators.

Just then, a strange, gray space appeared around Wen Yuan’s body. Then, two identical copies of her split off from her sides. These were out-of-body avatars created using her personal cosmic space.

The Yuqing Sect cultivates an internal Cosmos. Within the space based on their own internal Cosmos, a Cultivator is an absolute master. They can use this to cast many incredible forms of Magic without relying on external Spiritual Power.

Those who cultivate the orthodox "Yuqing Secret Technique" can cast up to several hundred types of Magic. In contrast, cultivators from other, unorthodox paths might only learn a few types of Magic in their entire lives. Some even cultivate their own bodies through a single form of Magic, and thus can only master that one. Such cultivators are especially common in the Western Continent, but rarely seen in Zhongzhou or the Eastern Continent.

After the two out-of-body avatars appeared, they formed a Spell and took a step forward in unison with the main body, expanding the area of the internal Cosmos by twenty feet. This region felt like a living entity, with what sounded like a heartbeat that resonated with the surrounding space of reality.

Next, the two avatars stretched out their hands and threw out several crystal blocks inscribed with special Arrays. The moment the crystal blocks appeared, the Arrays on their surfaces activated, transforming them into twelve cultivators wearing blue Daoist robes.

This was ’Sowing Beans to Create Soldiers’!

These soldiers were different from the ’Soldier Talismans’ of the "Taiyan Talisman" scripture. They inherently shared the caster’s cultivation level—meaning they all possessed Third Realm Cultivation. However, they had no consciousness of their own and required Wen Yuan’s Primordial Spirit Consciousness to be controlled. Therefore, they only had Third Realm Cultivation in theory.

When the twelve figures controlled by Wen Yuan entangled Luo Feng, the two cultivators from Lishui Prefecture stopped casting their Magic and retreated to Wen Yuan’s flanks to stand guard.

CLANG!

CLANG!

CLANG!

...

The sound of clashing metal was incessant. Luo Feng had been successfully trapped, and the twelve figures had, without him realizing, already deployed a Sealing Array.

In the Cultivation Realm, when facing an opponent that cannot be defeated immediately, the most effective method is to first use superior numbers to seal them away, and then slowly figure out a solution later.
