Six red signals moved across Teck’s holographic map. Nobody in the command room spoke for several seconds.

The first creature had reached them while barely alive, delivered a warning about the Eternal Demon-Tier Beast, and died. Now six more signatures were climbing through the ruins. Drako stared at the display.

“Please tell me those are six more friendly dying messengers.” Teck enlarged the readings. “Probability is low.” Kaien’s Phoenix flames burned brighter.

“Finally, good news.” Mira looked at him. “How is that good news?” “If they’re enemies, I can burn them.”

Drako nodded thoughtfully. “He does have a simple life.” Kaien pointed at him. “Dragon boy punches everything.” “I also make excellent strategic decisions.”

Ruben Veyrox laughed. “You made Mira stronger by breaking the lights.” Drako looked at him. “That information was supposed to die with Episode Twenty-One.” Everyone stared at him. Drako blinked. “I mean…that day.” Teck tilted his head. “That was strangely specific.” “Focus, calculator.”

The headmaster stepped between them and the map. “Enough. None of you are fighting.” Kaien’s flames disappeared. “Excuse me?” “Senior combat teams are already moving underground.

You are students.” Drako expected Kaien to argue, but Fade spoke first. “The signals separated.” Teck checked. Fade was right. Two signatures continued toward the command room while four changed direction.

“Where are they going?” Adrian asked. Teck expanded the academy map. His expression hardened. “Dormitories.” The headmaster immediately activated his communicator.

“Evacuate eastern dormitories. Combat teams three and four redirect to sectors seven through ten.” Alarms spread across the academy. Drako activated Dragon Blood Vision.

He couldn’t see hundreds of meters underground clearly, but he could feel ancient energy moving through pathways beneath them. Something bothered him. “They’re not moving randomly.” Mira looked at him. “You think they know the academy layout?” “Maybe not the academy.” Drako pointed downward. “But they know the ruins.”

A violent impact shook the command room. One red signal disappeared from Teck’s map. Kaien smiled. “Someone got one.” Another disappeared seconds later.

Ruben nodded. “Four.” Then a third vanished. “Three,”

Adrian said. Drako looked at him. “We can count.” “I’m contributing.” Teck’s device suddenly flashed. One of the remaining signatures accelerated dramatically.

“That one just increased speed by four hundred percent.” The headmaster turned toward the door.

“Everyone out. Now.”

They moved into the corridor as instructors rushed past them. The academy’s protective barriers activated, covering sections of the walls with blue energy. Students were being transported from nearby shelters into deeper safe zones.

Drako heard hundreds of frightened heartbeats through Blood Sense. That changed everything. Fighting for a tournament was fun. Fighting while hundreds of weaker students were nearby wasn’t.

The ground exploded thirty meters ahead.

A four-armed creature launched through the floor and struck an instructor before anyone could react. Unlike the dying messenger, this one wore intact gray armor.

Violet energy surrounded all four hands. The instructor crashed into a wall. Senior guards attacked immediately. The creature blocked two weapons simultaneously, grabbed another guard, and threw him across the corridor.

[Ancient Humanoid Detected.]

[Possible Azunakkii relation: 94%.]

[Threat Level: High for Host.]

Drako stopped moving.

High for him.

Not impossible, but dangerous.

The headmaster shouted, “Get the students away!”

Drako turned toward his friends. “You heard him.”

Kaien stared. “You’re leaving?”

“There are students behind us.”

Kaien understood immediately.

They ran toward the shelter instead of the creature. Ruben used a copied barrier ability to block falling debris.

Teck sent drones ahead, guiding students through alternate corridors. Mira moved through shadows, checking rooms faster than anyone else. Fade remained near the rear, sword ready. Adrian used his devices to unlock emergency doors.

Drako smiled while running. “Look at us being responsible.”

Kaien groaned. “Stop saying that.”

A second explosion erupted behind them.

Drako turned.

The creature had broken through the instructors.

“Okay,” Drako said. “Responsibility canceled.”

Fade stepped forward.

“Et tu, blind man?” Drako said.

“I don’t know what that means.”

“Neither do I. Sounded appropriate.”

The creature roared and attacked Fade. All four arms moved from different directions. Fade’s sword blocked three attacks, but the fourth struck his shoulder and threw him backward.

Drako’s humor vanished.

Blood Step.

Crimson energy flashed.

Drako appeared between Fade and the creature. Dragon Scales covered both arms as two fists struck him.

BOOM!

Drako slid backward.

Kaien attacked from above.

“Move!”

Drako dropped.

Phoenix fire exploded across the creature’s chest. It stumbled, but its armor absorbed most of the flames.

Ruben concentrated.

Silver energy surrounded him.

Phoenix fire appeared around his right hand.

Kaien noticed. “Stop copying me!”

Ruben launched a weaker Phoenix blast. “Stop having useful abilities!”

“Mine looks better!”

“You two can argue later!” Mira shouted.

Darkness spread beneath the creature. Mira emerged from its shadow and cut behind one knee. Violet blood appeared.

Drako activated Dragon Blood Vision.

Gold and crimson.

Energy pathways became visible throughout the creature’s body. Unlike humans, it possessed multiple energy centers. One in the chest. One near the stomach. Smaller concentrations existed inside each arm.

“Four-arm muscles are connected to separate energy channels!” Drako shouted.

Teck’s drones scanned immediately. “Confirmed. Damaging the shoulder junctions should reduce arm strength.”

Kaien looked at Drako. “In normal language?”

“Hit the shoulders.”

“Why didn’t you say that?”

Phoenix flames exploded again.

The creature crossed all four arms and blocked. Ruben attacked from the side using enhanced speed and stone armor. His fist struck one shoulder.

CRACK!

The armor fractured.

Fade returned.

His sword struck exactly the same location.

The creature roared.

Drako smiled. They were already learning how to fight together.

The creature released violet energy in every direction.

“DOWN!” Teck shouted.

His drones created a barrier.

The blast struck.

CRACK!

Teck’s barrier began breaking.

Adrian ran beside him and activated his own equipment. A second barrier formed behind Teck’s.

Teck glanced over.

Adrian strained to hold it.

“Don’t say anything.”

Teck nodded. “Your barrier efficiency is terrible.”

Adrian stared at him. “I hate you.”

“But useful.”

“I hate you slightly less.”

The violet blast ended.

Drako moved.

Blood Flow Control accelerated energy into his legs. Blood Step activated. He appeared beside the damaged shoulder. Dragon Density increased through his fist.

[Hybrid synchronization detected.]

Golden Draconic energy surrounded his knuckles while crimson Vampiric lines moved beneath his skin.

Drako punched.

BOOM!

The shoulder armor shattered.

One of the creature’s arms dropped uselessly.

[Hybrid Technique Development: 81%.]

Drako landed.

“Still needs a name.”

Kaien shouted while fighting, “How about Slow Punch?”

Drako looked offended. “That doesn’t even make sense!”

“Neither does Dragon Blood Strike!”

“That name is amazing!”

The creature attacked while they argued.

Drako barely dodged.

“Okay, rude.”

Mira laughed despite herself.

Fade attacked another shoulder.

Ruben followed.

Kaien’s Phoenix fire struck the creature’s chest.

Teck’s drones targeted the damaged armor.

Adrian fired an energy pulse.

For the first time, the entire group attacked in sequence without planning it.

The creature stumbled.

Drako’s Dragon Blood Vision found the chest energy center.

“Center chest!”

Kaien prepared his flames.

Drako stopped him.

“Wait.”

Something was wrong.

The creature wasn’t looking at them anymore.

It was staring at the black crystal left by the dead messenger, which an instructor was carrying toward a secure chamber.

The creature suddenly spoke.

“Traitor.”

Drako froze.

“You can talk?”

The creature pointed toward the crystal.

“Traitor carried warning.”

Mira’s expression changed. “The first one betrayed the Azunakkii?”

The creature roared and charged toward the instructor.

Drako intercepted it.

Dragon Density.

Blood Flow Control.

The two abilities synchronized.

Drako’s fist became incredibly dense while Vampiric energy accelerated blood and power through the arm.

“Okay, that name I like.”

Kaien shouted, “Nobody asked!”

Drako struck the creature’s chest.

BOOM!

Its armor collapsed inward.

Kaien’s Phoenix flames hit immediately afterward.

Ruben attacked the weakened section.

Fade’s sword flashed.

The creature crashed into the wall.

Its defensive energy disappeared.

Senior instructors rushed forward and restrained it using glowing chains.

“Alive!” the headmaster ordered. “We need answers.”

The creature struggled but couldn’t escape.

Drako breathed heavily.

[Blood Dragon Impact successfully created.]

[Warning: Repeated usage may damage Host’s arm.]

“Of course it does.”

Mira walked over. “Talking to yourself again?”

“Motivational speech.”

“You need better motivation.”

Teck checked the map.

His expression changed.

“Guys.”

Everyone turned.

The remaining signals were gone.

Kaien smiled. “We won?”

“No.”

Teck expanded the underground scan.

“They retreated.”

Drako frowned.

“Why?”

Fade turned toward the captured creature.

“Because this one wasn’t trying to attack the academy.”

The group became quiet.

Fade continued.

“It was trying to destroy the message.”

Drako looked toward the black crystal.

The dead Azunakkii had betrayed its own people to warn humanity about the Eternal Demon-Tier Beast.

Which meant the crystal might contain far more than a warning.

The captured warrior suddenly laughed.

Everyone turned toward it.

Its four eyes focused on Drako.

“Dragon-Vampire.”

Drako’s blood went cold.

The creature smiled.

“They will come for you too.”
