"You’re finally here," Andreas said as soon as Leone and his companions arrived at the Dragon’s Nest. "Took you long enough."

"I came just in time, Grandfather," Leone replied.

This time, Leone walked up to the entrance of the cavern. However, he stopped near the entrance, as a barrier was still in place.

Of course, he was fine with that. Although he didn’t want to admit it, he didn’t really have much trust in the Helion Family even though they were his mother’s family.

Andreas and two other people stared at the young man, as well as the two ladies by his side.

These two other people were none other than the head butler, Jeeves, and the former patriarch of the House of Helion, Lugh Von Helion.

"You really look like me when I was younger, Leone," Lugh said with a smile.

"Really?" Leone smiled. "I guess you were really handsome when you were my age, Great Grandfather."

"Hahaha! Of course I was!" Lugh laughed. "By the way, are these two ladies your lovers?"

Yuni held Lugh’s gaze in response, while Aria subconsciously clung to the young man’s arm, pressured by the old man’s intense gaze.

Seeing that, Leone rested his hand on Aria’s hand, calming her down a bit. "They are indeed my lovers. Aria, don’t be afraid. This is my great grandfather, Lugh Von Helion. Great Grandpa, this is Aria, and this is Yuni."

"Hello, Lord Lugh," Aria said politely.

"Greetings, Lord Lugh." Yuni gave the old man a brief nod of greeting.

"It’s a pleasure to meet you, Aria." Lugh smiled. "You too, Yuni."

Andreas then gave Jeeves a signal, prompting the latter to activate the communication crystal in his hands.

A few seconds later, the crystal lit up, and soon, an excited voice spread across the surroundings.

"Brotheeeeeeeeeeeeeer!"

At that moment, Leone’s little sister, Elizabeth, appeared inside the crystal and immediately called out to her big brother, whom she had missed very much.

"Hello, Elizabeth." Leone couldn’t help but smile after seeing his little sister. "Have you been a good girl?"

"Yes!" Elizabeth replied. "I have been a very good girl!"

"Good! As expected of my cute little sister!"

"Ehehe!"

Yuni and Aria couldn’t help but feel their hearts melt after seeing Leone’s adorable little sister.

Although she was still very young, Elizabeth was a very attractive girl. They could already imagine her turning into a beautiful lady by the time she became a teenager, which would definitely capture the attention of all the young men within the Kingdom of Britannia.

"Sweetheart, you can talk to your brother later, okay?" Soon, Helen’s voice reached everyone’s ears. "I have something very important to tell him, so go play with your Papa for now."

"Okay! Bye, Brother!"

"Bye, Elizabeth."

After that brief exchange of greetings, Helen appeared inside the crystal. She then thanked her father, Andreas, for finding the time to let her talk to her son.

"Leone, I received crucial information from my people, who have been spying on Minister Edmund’s residence," Helen said in a serious tone. "The Kingdom of Britannia and the Aurelion Empire are planning to invade the Borderlands. It seems that they plan to attack a month from now, and their target is Eden."

Yuni and Aria’s expressions turned grim after hearing this piece of information. After all, Eden was the sacred land of the barbarians.

Then again, hearing that the Kingdom of Britannia to the north, as well as the Aurelion Empire to the south, were planning to attack them at the same time made them feel very anxious.

As for Leone, he wasn’t too shocked when he heard this news. He had already expected that the Kingdom of Britannia wouldn’t dare to attack the Borderlands without first making sure that their chances of winning were high.

They were already having a few skirmishes with the Helion Duchy to the north and were also being threatened by the Barbarian King to the west.

And yet, they still dared to attack the Borderlands?

That was simply courting death.

This was why Leone was certain that they had some kind of ally that they could count on to win this war.

"Did the King of the Radiant Empire tell the Helion Family about the ceasefire agreement?" Leone asked calmly.

"No." Andreas shook his head. "We were not informed about the ceasefire."

Leone nodded in return before shifting his attention to his mother. "Mother, did the King issue orders for mobilization?"

"Not yet," Helen answered. "Though, I’m sure that a decree will be delivered to all the noble families soon to prepare for war."

The young man pondered for a bit before concluding.

"Great Grandpa, I have a favor to ask you," Leone said.

"I’m listening." Lugh crossed his arms over his chest. "If it is within my power, I will grant it."

Leone then began to explain his plan. Soon, Helen, Andreas, Jeeves, and Lugh’s expressions began to change while listening to the young man’s proposal.

A few minutes later, Lugh’s laughter echoed in the surroundings. "Hahaha! Brilliant! I knew it! You inherited my cunning as well!"

However, Andreas didn’t share his father’s enthusiasm. A frown appeared on his face, thinking Leone’s plan revolved around sophistry.

If he was asked if Leone’s plan could work, it certainly could.

Though if he was asked if there would be repercussions for the Helion Family, then the answer was also yes.

Yet, Lugh didn’t seem bothered by it.

Andreas scratched his head before speaking his thoughts out loud. "Father, if the King were to summon me, you better come with me to the palace."

"You’re already this old, yet you still want me to hold your hand?" Lugh replied in disdain. "Why? Scared of meeting the King? I’m a Grand Duke, for god’s sake, and you are my heir. This is our land. What can the crown do about it?"

Jeeves could only pretend that he didn’t hear such a treacherous declaration. Once again, he was regretting the fact that he was listening in on this discussion with no way out.

"Don’t worry, Grandpa." Leone looked back at Andreas with a smirk. "If worse comes to worst, you can just return it, right?"

Andreas was very tempted to slap his no-good grandson’s face right here, right now. If not for the fact that there was still a barrier at the entrance, he would have probably already done it!

He wanted to shout "Easy for you to say!" in response, but doing that would simply make Lugh look down on him more. In the end, he could only click his tongue in annoyance.

"Leone, this plan of yours is really bold." Helen smiled. "But I support it. Don’t worry. Even if the army of the Frontera Viscounty is mobilized, I’ll make sure that they are stationed at the very rear of the main army."

"Thank you, Mother." Leone nodded before shifting his attention back to Lugh. "Great Grandpa, can I count on you to make this plan happen? I’ll admit, I’m not confident enough to face the Britannian Army on my own."

The young man already knew that if the barbarians were given a choice on what to protect, they would prioritize protecting Eden.

For them, it was the heart of the Borderlands.

However, Leone didn’t share the same opinion.

For him, Grimjaw Mountain was more important. And so, he chose to be the first line of defense against the invasion coming from the north.

The upcoming battle would be very different from his battle with the Darkmane Tribe.

After all, the Kingdom of Britannia would definitely bring an army that numbered at least fifty thousand men or above.

If this was only a normal war, then Leone was confident that he could win.

But of course, it wasn’t that simple.

The Kingdom of Britannia specialized in both might and magic. They also made advancements in magical armaments like magic cannons that had a range of over a thousand meters.

While Leone’s Fireshard Catapults could still play a role in the war, the problem was the disparity in numbers.

Even with the Ravage Tribe and the members of the Bonegnash Tribe that were now living in their domain, their combined number didn’t even reach five thousand.

Five thousand versus fifty thousand was a disparity that couldn’t be overcome so easily.

If Leone wished to gain an advantage in this battle, he had to become ruthless.

Far more ruthless than burning down an entire city, like what he did with the Darkmane Tribe.

Fortunately, his great grandfather, Lugh, was just as ruthless as him.

As long as he succeeded in following Leone’s plan for the upcoming war, the damage that the Aslan Tribe would receive would not be as devastating as Leone’s original estimate.
