I spent the night thinking about it.
Whether to try and be the awakener’s association president or make my own company.
The main factors why I decided to make my own company are, I don’t want to be attached to one government entity, the other is that I don’t think they will let me be the president.
I was planning on using my money to set up the physical offices and locations, but I think they would still want to make their own people the leader.
So, I’ll make my own.
I have also decided to move away from just awakening abilities for a business model. Because I know that monsters are appearing in the Federation then they must also be appearing in other places.
So, the business will also work on discovering and tracking monsters and their movements. As well as other anomalies.
My main goal is to be world wide, but I have to start somewhere and I think developed cities are the way to go.
While waiting for the money to be deposited into my account I can look into where to place the company infrastructure. Because I won’t need the physical locations to have supercomputers they will be kept somewhere else, I think.
Sometimes I think it would be better to have the computers on site. But, the heat. I’m conflicted.
While doing some research I discovered that quantum computers are a lot more viable than I thought.
Apparently, you can get a quantum computer desktop for $50,000. The actual price is $10,000 for the entry level one, $40,000 for the mid tier model, and $60,000 for the high end model.
The price to performance ratio is really good. The Xia company offering these computers is the only one I could find. Any other company offering quantum computers are for the large versions that cost $100,000,000.
Something that I learned while looking into this is that while supercomputers put out lots of heat, quantum computers eliminate the heat. That means that I could have them in city limits. The problem is that they use liquid helium to keep everything cold.
Liquid helium is expensive, but making my own production plant, while costs a little more upfront, is cheaper in the long run.
Then I had the idea, what if I integrate the liquid helium production straight into the quantum computer? Now, that’s an idea I could get behind.
Hmm. Let’s shelve that idea for a moment. I should get the desktop version first to see if quantum computing is something that I want. It doesn’t really have an operating system like normal computers have.
It will mainly be for running my AI and calculating data.
Lets see, I have around $75,000 left.
Sigh. I guess I’ll buy it.
Now I only have $15,000.

By the end of the day, I had a quantum computer. This computer is a 3 qubit model. To simplify a complex mechanic a normal computer can only do one thing at a time, while quantum computers can do multiple at a time.
A quantum computer scales like this (2^(x)). So, my quantum computer which is a 3 qubit model is scaled like this (2^(3)=8). That means that my computer can do 8 things at once while a normal computer can only do 1.
A normal large scale quantum computer is 50 qubits. That is over 1.1 quadrillion all at once.
A current top tier quantum computer that costs $100 million has 500 qubits. Remember this is exponential. That’s not 10 times bigger, it is so much bigger that if you Foolgle it, it just says it’s infinitely bigger.
Now back down to a smaller scale. My 3 qubit model actually uses nuclear magnetic resonance for its computing which allows it to be used at room temperature. However, the reason this can’t be used on a larger scale is because the technology is a "dead end".
They can’t get it to sustain more than a dozen qubits at a time. So there is no large scale room temperature quantum computing for me.
Let’s just get into using this thing.
I connected it to my server set up and had the AI try to write an AI script that would work on the quantum computer.
The AI I developed is a data collection AI that will use any and all resources to gather the data you requested.
It’s still in its infancy, because it cannot detect what is good trustworthy information and what isn’t. But, that’s ok. It will get better.
Right now I just need it to work and gather as much data as it can about awakeners and their powers.
After an hour and 40 minutes I discovered a good thing with the first upgrade. So, if a quantum computer is able to process multiple things at once they would only be at a normal computer standard.
So at the start it was 3 qubits which was equivalent to 8 regular computers working at once. Now that it has been upgraded it has gone to 6 qubits which is equivalent to 64 computers working at once.
But, instead of it being regular computers it is now top tier computers.
Why is that the case? Because quantum computers still use normal computer parts for the non quantum parts. The part of the computer that is quantum is the CPU which becomes QPU. So it still uses RAM, graphics cards, etcetera, you get the picture.
The upgrade upgrades all parts, which is nuts.
Because you are adding a qualitative increase to an exponential growth.
Now what I really need to do is add my own RAM to this thing before upgrading to get the best bang for the buck.
I wonder how the factory is doing? I bet they are still protesting.
Funny, I put in so much work and money for that, and now that it’s falling to pieces I don’t really care.
