My Life as an Awoken

I started my small presentation, "That is correct. My associate and I have spent quite a lot of time and resources gathering and analyzing information. Information that you, your associates, and your government would find very valuable.

We understand that you have your own information gathering sources. However, we work in a more comprehensive and straightforward way. We plan to invest over $100 million into your country to build an information network.

The main objective is to gather data on monsters and ability users. I’m sure you are aware that this is only the beginning. The monsters and awakeners will continue to get stronger.

We are willing to keep track of the monsters and provide that information to the government. In exchange we would like the government to establish an awakeners association and share their ability information when they sign up.

We plan on making this a global initiative, sharing this information with all of the global powers that work with us.

We will also be providing a service to gather and sell training methods. I’m sure you are also aware that your knight training methods have started producing better effects. We have been collecting those methods, studying, and improving them.

As things progress I imagine the worth and value of those method will only increase. Our plan is to allow people to buy those methods from us. However, if a noble family bought the rights for one of those methods from us, then we would prevent others from buying that method in the future.

Overall it is a deal that costs you nothing, and only provides you benefits."

The aged voice asked, "How many countries have already agreed?"

Xue Qing stepped in and said, "8 of them have. Xia, Yamato, Gojoseon, and most of the Southeast Asian island countries. You are our first stop in Europe."

A different aged voice said, "That is not very encouraging."

Another one said, "On the contrary, they already have some major players."

As they started discussing back and forth I was able to take stock of the members. There were 2 women and 5 men.

3 men on the right side of the table and 2 women with 1 man on the left side. The last man sat at the head of the table, he was the royal family’s representative.

The right side was against us while the left side was in favor of us. It was an even split between the two sides.

An old man on the right said, "We can’t trust these outsiders! They are all dishonorable curs."

A woman from the left retorted, "Oh, stop it. We don’t need any of your racist rhetoric here."

The old man shot back, "Don’t try to high road me with your moral hypocrisy. We need to rely on ourselves in these turbulent times. Outsiders have their own agendas."

The woman continued, "Those agendas are in our favor, besides everyone has agendas, even you."

They continued to go back and forth like that for a while longer until the royal representative spoke. He said, "It seems we will not reach a conclusion without my backer’s decision."

Once that was said everyone was silenced. The representative pulled out a phone, made a call then turned on the speaker.

A distorted voice came through the phone, "Is it to my understanding that in regards to the training methods you plan on combining them and creating new methods using training methods from other countries?"

I replied, "Yes, that is correct."

The distorted voice came through again, "Then I will accept this deal on the condition that if we provide you with our training methods, we will be able to claim a better method at a later date."

"Very well, we accept those conditions."

With that the deal came to a close. Now we will have a meeting with some of the council’s people to sign a contract and that will mark the end of our time in Albion.

We spent a few days signing the contract and acquiring a building in London. We bought a nice old style building. The building plus renovation will cost $100 million and the quantum computer will cost $100 million, that’s $200 million all together.

Out of $13.5 billion that is nothing, I still have $13.3 billion.

Before we left I decided to buy one more thing. I bought an electric plane for $4 million. It was on the small side so we still had to have another plane follow us. But, I was after the upgrades.

Over the next month we flew from one country to the next securing as many contracts as possible.

We managed to secure most of Europe, the entire EU joined in together, and the Kingdom of Macedon joined as well. The non EU countries surrounding the kingdom of Macedon did not make contracts with us. Every other country in Europe also joined except for NorthernWay.

After Europe we tried to move through the middle east, but most countries there were adamantly against any outside interference. Most even threatened to blow us out of the air if we flew in their air space.

The only country in Africa that wasn’t in the middle of intense civil war and conflict was Ta-wy. The country that is known for its pyramids. They were more than happy to come to an agreement with us.

Bharat told us to screw off, but they have been having a bit of a civil war. Their caste system has been getting turned on its head.

The top of the caste awoke, but many more lower in the caste awoke too.

The videos of the fights coming out of Bharat have been legendary. People with massive Dharma Idols, martial artists, and super humans. All of them fighting, trying to establish a new order.

Those fights reimplanted the fact that I have no fighting ability. Even if I try to cultivate any other power I don’t think I would match up to those that have abilities.

I am stuck on the sidelines watching the fights.
