My Skills Can Evolve Infinitely in a Game-Like World
Chapter 123: First Awakener PlayerObtaining a Class was not a simple matter.
Not only did it require a person to meet certain requirements and complete the necessary preparations, but it also carried certain risks.
Upon advancing into an Awakener, Mana would pour into the person’s body, transforming their physique and making it suitable for further strengthening.
The process was out of the person’s control. Yet it still carried certain risks.
In the case of the Sun Knight, if the Mana failed to alter the person’s physique before the power of the materials ran out, or if something went wrong in the middle of the Ritual, it would fail.
The person inside the formation would suffer a backlash.
At best, they would sustain some injuries. At worst, they would be left crippled forever.
That was why noble families and organizations would prepare extensively before allowing someone to become an Awakener.
Nobody would be crazy enough to do what Aurelius had done, bringing a helpless woman to a remote mansion before starting her Class Ritual without even telling her anything.
However, despite the poor conditions, Aurelius showed no panic.
He watched silently as the golden brilliance engulfed TheoryMaster69’s figure.
Then, the materials seemed to release their power.
The power of the sun and stars descended into the mansion, working together with Mana to alter her physique. Flames wrapped around her, as though sculpting a powerful weapon.
Seeing this, Aurelius smiled knowingly, understanding that there was no chance of failure.
--
TheoryMaster69 did not know that her advancement had caused such an extraordinary phenomenon.
Her entire vision was filled with white light, making her mind go blank and causing her to lose track of time.
When she woke up again, she found herself standing in the familiar garden.
Aurelius was nowhere to be seen. Even the formation beneath her feet had disappeared without her noticing.
For a moment, TheoryMaster69 thought that something had gone wrong with her advancement and that Aurelius had run away in fear of retaliation.
But soon, she threw that thought out of her mind.
The reason was simple.
She could sense that she had become different. An incredible power coursed through every inch of her body, while information about several abilities appeared in her mind.
TheoryMaster69’s eyes lit up with excitement.
Instinctively, she summoned the notification log. The prompts immediately confirmed her feelings.
"Class Ritual has been activated! Sun Knight Ceremony is underway!"
"Ding!"
"Congratulations to the Player for taking up the Rare Class—Sun Knight."
"Gained: ..."
TheoryMaster69 quickly skimmed through the rewards.
Her eyes mostly remained on the words Sun Knight before she finally summoned her own Player Panel.
...
[Name: TheoryMaster69]
[Class: Sun Knight (Rare)]
[Rank: 1 / Level: 0/20 (0/50)]
[Base Stats:] Strength: 15, Agility: 13, Intelligence: 11, Vitality: 15, Luck: 10, Mana: 50
[Skills: Weapon Infusion, Awakener’s Physique, Solar Manifestation]
[Talents: Divine Intervention]
[Skill Points: 3]
[EXP: 50]
...
TheoryMaster69 couldn’t contain her laughter as she stared at her Player Panel.
She had succeeded! After so long, she had finally become an Awakener!
Moreover, as far as she knew, she was the first Player to accomplish this, much less obtain a Rare Class.
’An increase of 2 in both Strength and Vitality, as well as an increase of 1 in Agility and Intelligence. 50 Mana to top it all.’
’As expected, the Base Stat increase provided by a Rare Class is massive.’
Combined with the effects of Awakener’s Physique, she was already significantly stronger than an ordinary newly advanced Awakener.
That alone was enough to celebrate. Her skills only made her even more satisfied.
Especially when her gaze fell on the Divine Intervention Talent, and its description appeared, TheoryMaster69 couldn’t help but rub her eyes in astonishment.
This... This was extremely powerful.
Could a mere Rank 1 Awakener really possess such a Talent?
TheoryMaster69 thought she was seeing things.
Her astonishment was more than justified.
Even Aurelius had been deeply shocked when he first obtained this Talent, much less an ordinary person like TheoryMaster69.
After looking at the Talent’s effects and confirming that she truly wasn’t seeing things, TheoryMaster69 could no longer hold back.
She was ready to spend her Skill Points and see whether she could trigger Divine Intervention.
It didn’t matter what skill it was. As long as it appeared, it would be beneficial to her!
Unfortunately, just when she focused on the (+) button and was about to upgrade her skills, a discordant voice suddenly echoed.
"You’re awake..."
"Hehehe. It’s finally time..."
A sinister laugh sounded from directly behind her, and a cold hand slithered up her left shoulder.
TheoryMaster69 nearly jumped back and activated Solar Manifestation to strike back. But when she saw who it was, she felt speechless.
"Sir Aurelius, is it funny to play pranks on a newly awakened Awakener?" she complained.
Much to her dismay, Aurelius simply nodded.
"It’s quite fun," he admitted without hesitation, making TheoryMaster69 doubt her own ears.
He gave her no time to say anything. He looked her up and down.
"It seems that the advancement was successful..."
"Congratulations, Miss Emma!" he praised. "You’ve finally become an Awakener."
"You’re one step closer to saving your grandmother and avenging your parents!"
"You should have already seen your current strength. Whether it’s your abilities or your basic strength, you’ve completely transformed."
TheoryMaster69 nodded.
The power coursing through her body had filled her with unending confidence.
She felt that, if she wanted to, she could demolish the entire mansion with her bare hands. She had become a superhuman!
Of course, she knew that everything was only an illusion.
There was no need for anyone to remind her.
After all...
[Aurelius Sol—Level ???]
The interface was still hovering above the young man’s head.
Although TheoryMaster69 had become an Awakener, she was still unable to see through his information.
’He truly deserves to be a Hidden NPC...’
’Is it a special skill? Or the result of the difference in our strength?’ she muttered inwardly, the faint arrogance that had arisen in her heart quickly disappearing.
Watching from the side, Aurelius nodded with satisfaction.
TheoryMaster69’s state did not escape his notice.
He knew what she was feeling. Every Awakener would have the same blind confidence after their advancement.
The pure power would make them completely immersed.
If no one brought them back to reality, they could easily go astray.
As for why Aurelius had never suffered from such a problem, it was not because of the Player Panel or his strong personality.
Rather, it was because he had remained on the verge of death even after his advancement!
With Amanda leaving him at the death’s door, how could he have possibly become arrogant?
Aurelius organized his thoughts.
He glanced at TheoryMaster69, who, despite having awakened, was still itching for a fight, and smiled faintly.
"Fighting in the mansion is too dangerous. There are many Awakeners in the city, and they may notice something."
"Likewise, testing your abilities with me as your opponent won’t have much effect."
"How about it? Are you interested in testing your skills in a real battle?"
A mysterious smile appeared on Aurelius’ face.
For some reason, TheoryMaster69 felt that something was wrong with it. However, she quickly shook her head.
’It must be an illusion caused by my advancement. How could Aurelius possibly harm me?’ she chuckled.
Thus, her answer was clear.
"Yes," she said confidently, wanting to use this opportunity to show off her potential and further develop their relationship.
Unfortunately, only moments later, the persona TheoryMaster69 had carefully built came crashing down.
"AAH!"
