Melody Thorne walked over to check his injury; it was a gunshot wound to the abdomen. "I服you get up, can you move?"

"The first number you open is his."

"No need, I can walk on my own," Melody was worried that those people couldn’t find her and would return, so she dared not stay and kept walking down the mountain.

"Who are you?" Melody looked at him defensively. "Did you bring me here?"

"Yes, you were unconscious at the time, and we happened to be coming to the hospital, so we brought you along. This time, thanks to Miss Thorne, if not for her timely discovery of Major General Hawke, he might be dead now!"

"No thanks," Melody got out of bed, "I have things to do, so I’ll leave first."

"Do you need me to arrange someone to take Miss Thorne?"

"No, no," Melody feared these people would involve her in something.

"Miss Thorne, no need to be cautious with us. Major General Chu is also very familiar with us, and we just got word that Lord Quinn is on his way. Why not rest for a while?"

Jared Quinn extended his hand to wrap it around her waist, while his other rugged large palm directly slapped her pert bottom, giving her a lesson. "Where did you run off to?"
