Saile did not smile. He rested his black sword on his shoulder and started walking slowly toward them. It was time to deal with the spoiled children of the Holy Church.

Every step his boots took against the freezing stone resonated loudly. The five

Academy elites scrambled backward like frightened rats. Luap pressed his silk jacket hard against the cavern wall.

"Stay back!" Luap shrieked, his voice cracking wildly.

The female noble beside him openly sobbed, clutching a gold healing pendant.

They had fully expected this trash-tier peasant to die to the first trap. Instead, he had brutally massacred a Level 45 Cursed Undead Knight without taking a single scratch.

The two bulky Holy Knights stood up. One of them roared to mask his panic, lunging forward with a desperate, sloppy horizontal slash.

Saile didn’t flinch. He dropped his weight and stepped cleanly under the swinging blade.

He planted his left boot and whipped his right leg around, executing a blistering tornado kick. His heel slammed directly into the knight’s steel helmet.

Boom!

A visible shockwave blasted the freezing mist away. The heavy steel helmet deformed completely under Saile’s raw physical power.

The knight spun wildly through the air and crashed into a broken stone pillar, entirely unconscious.

Saile finished with a smooth shoulder roll recovery. He stood up slowly, pointing the Calamity Fang directly at Luap’s throat.

"Empty your pockets," Saile ordered. His voice was completely flat. "Now."

Luap didn’t hesitate. The terrified noble ripped a velvet pouch from his belt and threw it into the dirt.

The others frantically followed his lead, tossing their gold coins, health potions, and enchanted rings onto the cold floor.

Saile crouched gracefully and picked through the loot. Luap’s pouch contained rare mana crystals and a map of the central continent. He scooped it all into his High-Tier Storage Ring.

Killing high-profile Academy students right now would paint a massive target on his back. Leaving them stranded and humiliated was punishment enough.

"Stay exactly where you are," Saile warned.

He turned his back on the group and walked deeper into the destroyed boss room. Ser Valen’s glowing ashes were still scattering softly.

Saile found a quiet corner near the shattered chains. Before claiming the final prize, he needed to fix his blade, which was chipped from Valerius.

[Inventory Check: Weapon Fragment (17/10)]

[Notice: Sufficient Fragments available for Weapon Upgrade.]

"System," Saile whispered. "Upgrade the Calamity Fang."

[Initiating Forge Protocol.]

[Consume 10 Rare Weapon Fragments? Y/N]

Saile mentally selected the confirmation.

Instantly, his Storage Ring burned with a searing heat. Ten jagged chunks of glowing metal shot out, vibrating with latent power.

The Calamity Fang hummed aggressively. The floating fragments melted down into

liquid streams of crimson and black energy.

They swirled through the air like a cyclone, slamming directly into the center of the sword.

A blinding flash of purple light illuminated the cavern. The air warped, radiating intense heat.

The phantom sound of hammering metal rang in his mind. It sounded like a giant violently striking an anvil.

When the purple light finally died down, Saile looked at his hand.

[Weapon Upgrade Successful!]

[Calamity Fang (Fragment 2/5) - Grade: Rare]

[Attack Power Increased by 150%]

[Passive Effect Unlocked: Armor Pierce]

The blade was no longer a jagged slab of heavy iron. It was now a sleek, curved nodachi, perfectly balanced for his acrobatic fighting style.

Saile stood up and gave the sword an experimental swing.

Swoosh!

A sharp sonic boom cracked through the stagnant air. A crescent-shaped shockwave

shot forward, violently slicing into a nearby stone wall.

"Perfect," Saile muttered. He sheathed the sleek blade smoothly across his back.

He turned his attention back to the center of the room. A hidden stone pedestal was rising from the ground.

A sphere of glowing blue energy floated gently above it, pulsing like a beating heart. This was the dungeon’s Realm Core.

"That is a heavily dense chunk of mana," Naicul noted in his mind.

"Can the system handle it?" Saile asked.

"You possess the Endless Devourer," Naicul replied. "You can eat anything in this world, kid. But brace yourself."

Saile took a deep breath. He pressed his bare palm directly against the glowing blue sphere.

[System Alert: Realm Core Detected.]

[Initiating Devour Sequence.]

A violent explosion of blue magic blasted outward. A deafening sonic boom cracked through the room, instantly shattering the remaining stone pillars.

A visible shockwave of pure force slammed directly into Saile’s chest. The massive impact threw him backward through the air.

He reacted purely on combat instinct, executing a flawless backflip. His boots scraped against the dirt, carving two deep trenches to stabilize his footing.

He refused to let go. Thick chains of dark, crackling lightning shot out from his arm, wrapping tightly around the glowing orb.

The EX-Rank talent violently ripped the raw magic away. The cavern immediately began to shake with terrifying intensity.

Massive chunks of the stone ceiling snapped loose, crashing down with ground-trembling force.

A boulder the size of a wagon plummeted directly toward Saile’s head.

He pushed hard off his back foot, launching into a rapid lateral dash. He dodged the falling stone completely, pulling the dark lightning tether tighter.

The wind shrieked wildly through the chamber. Saile gritted his teeth as searing

heat flooded his veins.

It felt exactly like drinking boiling magma. His veins literally glowed purple beneath his pale skin.

[Massive EXP Gained!]

[Level Up!]

[Level Up!]

[Level Up!]

The golden system screens flashed rapidly, overlapping in a frantic, glowing blur.

Saile fell hard to one knee, driving his left fist into the shattered ground to anchor himself.

His body was violently reconstructing itself to handle the massive influx of raw power. His bones creaked loudly, reinforcing into something denser.

[Host has reached Level 45.]

[Platinum Tier Achieved.]

[Physical parameters significantly enhanced.]

The violent storm of energy finally died out. The massive Realm Core shattered into a million harmless blue sparkles.

It was completely drained of its ancient magic. The howling wind faded away, leaving only the sound of falling rocks.

Saile stayed on one knee, gasping heavily for air. His entire body was drenched in cold sweat.

He felt incredibly light, yet terrifyingly strong. The jump to Level 45 was a massive, physics-breaking leap.

He had officially broken into the Platinum Tier, operating on the exact physical level as veteran warlords and elite Paladins.

He slowly clenched his right fist. The air around his knuckles warped slightly from the sheer density of his new mana pool.

But the sudden influx of power came with a harsh toll. A deep, sickening ache settled directly into his chest. His vision flashed with piercing silver light.

[Warning: Physical Toll threshold exceeded.]

[Sync Rate increased to 10%.]

Saile cursed, clutching his torn shirt over his racing heart. Ten percent meant Naicul had established a stronger grip on his physical vessel.

Saile waited for the sarcastic God to mock his pain, fully expecting Naicul to brag about stealing his body.

Instead, the presence in his mind was unusually quiet. The oppressive aura felt tired, heavy, and oddly peaceful.

"Naicul?" Saile asked mentally, forcing himself to stand up straight.

The cavern shook violently again. A massive boulder crushed the empty pedestal where the core used to sit.

"You fought well," Naicul whispered. His ancient voice was completely stripped of its usual cruelty.

Saile blinked, genuinely surprised by the gentle tone.

"I put your general to rest," Saile replied softly. "Just like you asked."

There was a long, heavy pause in his mind.

"Thank you, kid," the ancient God said sincerely.

Before Saile could respond, Naicul retreated into the deepest depths of his mind, locking himself in absolute silence.

The subterranean ruins were rapidly tearing themselves apart. Without the Realm Core, the freezing ocean above was beginning to crush the dome.

Freezing salt water sprayed violently through massive cracks in the ceiling.

At the far end of the boss room, a swirling silver portal tore open in the air. It was the dungeon’s natural exit.

Behind him, he heard the frantic screams of the Academy elites.

"The F-Rank peasant!" Luap yelled. "Stop him! He stole the boss loot!"

The remaining Holy Knight desperately charged forward, raising his shield.

Saile just smirked at the pathetic display. He pulled out his dark stealth cloak, throwing it over his shoulders to completely obscure his face.

He dashed forward with blinding, explosive speed. He launched into a high, spinning forward flip, sailing flawlessly through the air.

He cleared a massive pile of falling rubble with effortless grace, landing perfectly on his feet right in front of the swirling silver portal.

He glanced over his shoulder one last time. The arrogant elites were stuck on the other side, choking on thick dust and raw terror.

They would never know who he truly was. Saile turned and stepped directly into the portal.

The silver magic wrapped tightly around his body. He vanished completely, leaving the ruined Ashen Tomb to be swallowed by the dark sea.
