My System Is a Fallen God: I Level Up Endlessly
Chapter 42: EX-Rank Assimilation, The Bone RelicThe highly condensed black lightning slammed into the glowing block of golden
amber.
Boom!
A deafening sonic boom cracked violently inside the small, dark vault. The visceral impact sent a heavy shockwave ripping outward, shaking the thick stone walls.
The magical amber, designed to be completely unbreakable, did not stand a chance against the compressed EX-Rank magic. It shattered instantly into a million
glowing yellow shards.
The small, blackened finger bone dropped heavily onto the stone pedestal.
The warm golden light in the room vanished completely. It was immediately replaced by a heavy, suffocating wave of dark purple energy. The raw Divine Authority leaking from the tiny bone was entirely overwhelming.
"It is time," Naicul whispered in Saile’s mind.
The ancient God’s voice echoed with dark, heavy anticipation. It was entirely stripped of its usual mocking tone.
"Pick it up, kid," Naicul commanded, his voice shaking with raw hunger. "Let the Endless Devourer consume my flesh. Let the System repair my shattered memories."
Saile sheathed the Calamity Fang across his back with a smooth metallic click. He took a slow, deep breath, perfectly centering his mind for the absolute agony to come.
He stepped forward and wrapped his bare hand tightly around the blackened bone.
The reaction was completely instantaneous.
[System Alert: Divine Body Fragment Acquired!]
[Initiating EX-Rank Assimilation!]
A terrifying explosion of pitch-black lightning blasted directly out of Saile’s chest. The violent magical force threw his head backward. He let out a loud, grinding scream of pure agony.
Thick, heavy chains of dark mana violently invaded his right arm. The purple lightning from the bone ripped through his pale skin, drilling directly into his bloodstream.
It felt exactly like drinking boiling lava mixed with jagged glass.
Saile fell hard to his knees on the cold stone floor. His eyes twitching and flickering silver and brown. He refused to let go of the bone, gripping it so tightly that his knuckles turned entirely white.
The physical pain was absolutely blinding. His Platinum-Tier bones cracked and snapped loudly under the crushing, divine pressure.
"Hold on!" Naicul roared in his mind, sharing the agonizing burden. "Your mortal vessel must break to be reborn!"
Saile slammed his free fist into the stone floor, completely shattering the rock beneath him. His body was undergoing a grueling, agonizing test of absolute endurance.
His ribcage fractured heavily. His muscles tore apart and instantly stitched themselves back together, becoming infinitely denser. The freezing cold of the dark magic violently clashed with the blistering heat of the divine bone.
His eyes turned Silver. Then, the memories hit him.
As the Fallen God’s flesh dissolved into Saile’s system, violently fast images flashed directly across his mind.
He saw a towering man with silver eyes leading a massive army across a burning
desert. He saw pristine white cathedrals crumbling into dust. He felt an overwhelming, crushing sense of betrayal as golden swords pierced the man’s back.
The emotions did not belong to Saile. They belonged entirely to Naicul.
The ancient God was recovering pieces of his lost soul. The line separating the terrified orphan and the wrathful deity grew terrifyingly thin.
[Warning: Soul Assimilation processing.]
[Sync Rate spiked by 8%.]
[Current Sync Rate: 18%.]
Saile gasped heavily, coughing up a small splatter of dark red blood. Eighteen percent. Naicul was growing dangerously strong, rooting himself deeper into Saile’s physical brain.
But the agony was finally ending.
The blackened bone dissolved completely into a swirling cloud of purple dust. The Endless Devourer vacuumed the remaining magic directly into Saile’s core.
The freezing dark aura violently snapped back inside his chest, leaving the small vault completely, utterly silent.
His eyes returned to brown. Saile remained on his hands and knees, taking deep, rattling breaths. His heavy combat boots scraped against the ruined floor as he slowly forced himself to stand up.
Golden system screens erupted wildly in his vision. They flashed with blinding, overlapping light.
[Assimilation Complete!]
[EX-Rank Multiplier Active!]
[Level Up x10!]
Saile’s plain brown eyes widened in absolute shock. A massive, refreshing wave
of pure energy flooded his entirely reconstructed body. The heavy ache in his
bones vanished, replaced by an intoxicating, world-breaking strength.
He had just bypassed the mortal limits completely.
[Host has reached Level 55.]
[Transcendent Tier (Diamond) Achieved.]
Saile slowly clenched his right fist. The air around his knuckles actually warped and distorted from the sheer density of his new mana pool.
He was no longer a mortal. He was officially operating on the exact same physical and magical level as Lady Vesper and the top-tier warlords.
But the system was not done rewarding him.
[Divine Body Fragment absorbed. System Mutation successful.]
[New Skill Unlocked: Domain of the Fallen.]
[Grade: Boss-Tier (Mythic).]
Saile stared at the final golden screen. A Domain was the absolute peak of Transcendent-Tier magic. It was an area-of-effect reality-warping ability that only veteran Demigods usually possessed.
"We are whole again," Naicul whispered.
The God’s voice sounded incredibly rich, heavy, and terrifyingly clear in Saile’s mind.
"Test it, kid," Naicul purred smoothly. "Show the world the true weight of our gravity."
Saile did not hesitate. He closed his eyes and tapped into the new, massive reservoir of dark magic sitting in his core.
"Domain Expansion," Saile muttered softly.
A completely silent, invisible shockwave exploded outward from his body. It instantly covered the entire twenty-foot radius of the small stone vault.
The air inside the room instantly turned pitch black. The normal laws of physics completely ceased to exist.
The sheer, absolute gravity inside the Domain multiplied by a hundred. The heavy
stone walls groaned and cracked violently under the crushing pressure. The thick steel of the vault door actually began to bend inward.
If a Level 40 Platinum warrior stepped into this black zone, their bones would snap instantly. They would be pinned completely to the floor, unable to lift even a single finger.
Saile stood completely unaffected in the center of the dark zone. He felt entirely weightless, moving his arms with explosive, fluid speed.
"Anyone trapped in here is absolutely dead," Saile noted, a cold smile creeping onto his face.
He snapped his fingers, instantly dropping the Domain. The crushing gravity vanished, and the heavy air rushed back into the room.
He turned around and walked calmly out of the ruined vault.
Lady Vesper was waiting for him at the top of the dangerous, trap-filled stairs. The four Elite Guards were guarding at the top of the stairs.
When Vesper saw Saile step out of the shadows, she physically flinched.
His plain brown eyes were the exact same, but the terrifying aura radiating off his body had completely changed. He did not feel like a Platinum-Tier anomaly anymore. He felt exactly like a walking, breathing natural disaster.
"Sovereign," Vesper whispered, her voice trembling slightly. "You absorbed it."
"I did," Saile replied flatly. "I am Level 55."
Vesper swallowed hard, completely stunned by the impossible leap in power. She immediately dropped to one knee, bowing her head deeply.
She reached into her dark purple coat and pulled out a heavy, jagged silver ring. It was carved with the exact same symbol as the banners hanging in the main cavern.
"This is the Sovereign’s Signet," Vesper said softly, holding the ring out in her palm. "It gives you absolute command over the entire Remnant army. Every assassin, every warlord, and every soldier in this desert will now bleed and die on your specific orders."
Saile reached out and took the cold silver ring. He slid it smoothly onto his index finger.
It fit perfectly.
"Rise, Vesper," Saile commanded, his voice echoing with cold, dark authority.
The Diamond-Tier warrior stood up quickly, keeping her glowing purple eyes entirely focused on the floor in absolute respect.
"What are your orders, my Lord?" Vesper asked. "We have hidden in these shadows
for a thousand years. We are ready to move."
Saile walked past her, heading back up the long stone stairs toward the main war chamber. The heavy silver ring felt cold against his skin, a physical reminder of the massive army now waiting on his every word.
He had the raw power. He had the Mythic weapon. And now, he had the numbers.
"We are done hiding," Naicul whispered in Saile’s mind, his ancient voice filled with dark, absolute certainty.
Saile completely agreed. It was time to stop running from the Holy Church. It was time to start taking the fight directly to the False Saints.
"Prepare the faction leaders," Saile told Vesper without looking back. "We are going to start a war."
