Waking up early the next morning, Max set aside some time to read. He tried to finish the book before he traveled to the Healing. Usually, poisons were brewed by a Poison Master using materials obtained from a Dungeon. However, there were a few poisons that dropped directly from monsters, and some were even extracted from the monsters while they were still alive. Consequently, every type of poison possessed its own advantages, such as how powerful its effects were.
As far as he could guess, the little girl must have been targeted by an assassin. She was somehow saved until the elixir was brought; however, that action ultimately made her condition worse. Although it helped the girl live longer, it left her entirely bedridden. Now, the question remained: did the poison increase its effort to fight against the elixir, or did it mix with the residual poison and the Elixir to create a new type of poison altogether?
Since this was just speculation, Max could not concretely determine anything. Putting his thoughts aside, he read a little more before it was time for class.

Entering the canteen doorway, Max immediately darted his eyes toward his usual table. Weirdly, there was a much larger crowd than usual. Until two days ago, "usual" simply meant he sat by himself. Only for the past two days had two people sat with him to eat, so seeing such a group now left him surprised.
Picking up his food, he walked toward the table. As he approached, the group parted ways. Sitting on the opposite side of the table, Moon and Anne were present as usual, but they were without their food plates. Had they already finished their breakfast? Harboring such thoughts, he prepared to sit down, only to find a girl occupying his usual spot. Since the corner was occupied, he sat in an available space nearby.
"What's up, guys?" Picking up his knife and fork, Max started to eat. "Did you two already finish breakfast?" he asked, looking at the two.
Cutting his food, he placed it into his mouth and chewed. However, the area remained completely silent. All the boys and girls stood there awkwardly. Suddenly, Max remembered that he had asked Moon to gather people to vote for him in the upcoming competition.
"Moon, didn't you say you had very few friends?" he asked, observing the deadly silence of the place.
Hearing this, Moon shot him a fierce gaze, instantly leaving Max confused. Surrounded by this annoying group, he realized he could not have a peaceful breakfast. Putting down his knife and fork on the table, he looked around at the crowd.
"Can someone please tell me what is going on?" Max asked.
Everyone hesitated, continuing to stand silently.
"They want to talk to you privately," Moon finally said with a sigh, shaking her head.
"Privately? Regarding what?" Max asked.
"Did you heal someone at the infirmary yesterday?" Moon asked.
"Yes, I did heal the girl, Alicia. What is this about?" Max asked in confusion.
However, it suddenly clicked in his mind. Were these people here to get healed by him? This was certainly a big surprise. Previously, he had constant concerns regarding how he was going to increase his Skill proficiency by 12% in two days. Now, seeing this crowd, wouldn't achieving that be a walk in the park?
"Very well, I understand. Do not worry about it. All of you, come to the infirmary after the lunch break. I will see what I can do. Are you all okay with that?" he asked.
Suddenly, the atmosphere started to change. Nodding their heads, everyone began to leave the area. Now, only four people sat at the table: Moon, Anne, Max, and the girl who sat near the wall.
"Did you have breakfast?"
"Not yet."
"Then what are you waiting for?" Max said. As he continued to eat his food, he suddenly heard a call from beside him.
"Student Maximus, could you make way for me to leave?" the girl sitting beside him asked.
"Oh, hello. I almost forgot you were here." Stepping out of his seat, Max made way for her.
However, upon seeing this girl now, he was surprised; she was taller than him. Because of the people standing around earlier, he had not noticed her. He actually had to tilt his head up to look at her. Giving him a small glance, she walked away. Wearing a bewildered look, Max sat down again and continued to eat.

Returning with their food, Moon and Anne sat down. Max could feel a gaze coming from Moon. Looking up, he met her glare.
"What?" he asked.
"What was all that about?" she asked.
"I do not know. They must have thought that my Skills were not mediocre, so they came looking for help," Max shot back, remembering how Moon had doubted that he truly cured the girl at the cookhouse.
"Hmph!" Making a sound, she started to eat.
While they were eating, someone approached holding a plate. Looking up, Max realized it was the tall girl he had made way for earlier. Seeing that she came to have food with them, he quickly moved toward the corner. She then sat down beside Max.
"Max, this is my Childhood friend. Her name is Heide," Moon introduced.
Giving an unpleasant look, Max asked, "What? She was your friend? I thought she was with the group. Shouldn't you have introduced her first?"
"Hello, Heide. My name is Maximus, but you can call me Max," Max introduced himself.
"Hello, Max. I am Heide," she said, looking down at him.
Since she had made a promise, Max asked, "So, Moon, I hope you start the campaign from today onwards." If she gathered a few votes, added to the group that had just left to seek his help, he would definitely secure at least eight out of ten people.
"I do not know if I can do that," Moon said. "Since you are doing some charity work for others, but I have to work for free, that is not how it works."
"What are you talking about? I did not do any charity work," Max replied, even though he knew what she was referring to.
"Then who were those people gathering here?" she asked.
"Well, they were a potential vote bank. Did I not tell you yesterday to campaign that I will provide all sorts of aid to the people? Did you forget?" Looking at her, Max finished his breakfast.
She did not speak afterward. She quietly finished her food, and they left the canteen.
Walking to their class with Anne, Max said to Moon, "I may not attend the Archery practical session today, since I will be campaigning at the infirmary."

Class 1A was already in the mood for Leaders Head Competition. As the students discussed the people participating from their class, they also talked about the main competition between the top students of all the classes. Sitting in his seat, Max listened to the discussions. From these conversations, he could discern a few names that were going to participate for the Student Council Head position.
The number one name was the person who placed first in the Dungeon Expedition ranking, Frederik Erickson. His opponents were the second-place Clifford Brunner and the fifth-place Terence Campton. Meanwhile, his own classmate, Hugh Gwyllim, was also one of the main contestants.
Regarding the Disciplinary Committee Head, his own classmate, Nathalie Abascal, who ranked third, was mentioned. Other names included the fourth-ranked Rudolph Menmuir, the sixth-ranked Benny Inocencio, and a few others in the top ten rankings that he did not remember.
However, one thing he noticed was the lack of discussion regarding the Diplomatic Affairs Head. Most of the conversations did not even mention this position. Did that mean no one was interested in participating for this leadership role?
This situation might lead to two outcomes. First, no famous people would participate; if so, there would not be a heavy campaign. At the same time, if the votes were not divided by famous candidates, his plan of winning with 70 votes would not be possible. Out of a total of 355 students, he would need at least 150 votes to win if only a few well-known people were to compete.
The good part, however, was that he could easily secure votes. Because there was no fierce competition, they would definitely choose him since he had some achievements. Furthermore, he was going to help a group of people in the afternoon. If that news were to spread, his influence would increase, definitely helping him obtain a large number of votes.
With 70 votes from the healing class, if he were to secure 30 votes by helping people cure their issues, the total would reach 110. Still, it was not enough. He might need 40 more votes; if he secured that, victory would be guaranteed. But how was he going to get those 40 votes?
While he was immersed in his thoughts, the theory teacher entered the class.
Today's morning theory class was Political Philosophy, a specific topic in which Max possessed wide knowledge. Since he was seven, his family had hired special tutors to teach political-related topics. They taught how a kingdom works, how Grand Dukes and Dukes worked under the King, how trade happens, taxes, and several other topics. These subjects could be considered boring if one's aim was not working for a noble family, but rather becoming an adventurer. Still, a little knowledge of how the world worked would be very helpful.
The continent their kingdom resided on was called [Brassicaceae]. It contained four kingdoms, each sharing borders with one another. These four kingdoms used to be ruled by a single ruler until the land broke into four kingdoms. Maintaining somewhat pleasant relationships, the four kingdoms allowed trade to happen easily. Although the borderlands often experienced conflicts, that did not stop the trade, because each kingdom possessed essential trade items that the other kingdoms needed. This was especially true for Dungeon materials. For example, the Kingdom of Westmore contained a ton of Dungeons holding ores essential for everyday life, ranging from swords to utensils used in the kitchen. Aside from the [Brassicaceae] continent, there were two more continents that had seven kingdoms combined.
Harboring no particular thoughts in his mind, Max listened to the class moderately. Once the morning class was completed, the second theory class was Healing. Since that class took place in a separate classroom nearby and was a combined class, all the healing class students from Class 1A walked out of the classroom.
