My Tribrid System: More than a Monster
Chapter 451: Crazy Coordination (3)Chapter 449
[Goon King: Damn. We are dead. We are all so screwed. How did we come to this? A bunch of kids protecting us? We are dead.]
[Concerned Mum: Wait! Th-that’s my daughter on that building. No, no! Where’s the Vanguard Order?!]
[Daigeto: That kid is the only one who managed to stand a semblance of a chance. This is bad.]
Pfffffff—!
"Aspirants! Arm the fuck up and teach this bitch of an Abberant a good damn lesson! SHOW HUMANITY’S MIGHT!" Lincoln roared with all his might.
They had seen the Abberant preparing to move toward the building where she had sent Ray crashing into.
Before she could even twitch, Lincoln and Trisha darted into motion.
The other Aspirants were stunned.
What the hell was the Sergeant saying?
Had he lost his mind?
How were they supposed to battle a Five-Spined Abberant when they had been struggling against One-Spines just a few minutes ago?
Had he gone senile?
Cutting through the air with her katana held behind her, Trisha leaped from platform to platform as Lincoln rapidly erected them beneath her.
Within half a second, she was already in front of Silver.
Trisha wasted no time.
She swung her sword toward the creature.
Silver simply leaned backward, watching as the weapon sliced past her head.
Before she could reposition herself, Trisha twisted her wrist and sent the sword shooting downward.
Silver twisted her body to the side, barely avoiding the blade.
But Trisha wasn’t done.
Twisting her ankle, she contorted her waist and slashed at the creature again.
CLANG!
Silver’s claws intercepted the slash, stopping the blade in its tracks.
Whoooosh!
An arrow hurtled forward from behind Trisha.
Silver’s tail rose into the air.
With lightning speed, it seized the arrow before hurling it in a random direction.
Tchaaaaak!
The arrow ripped straight through the heart of an Aspirant who had been minding his own business while watching the battle below.
Thud!
His body hit the ground.
Everyone’s eyes widened in horror.
Trisha didn’t give a damn about what had just happened.
She parried Silver’s claw away, shifted forward, and thrust her katana toward the creature.
Silver intercepted the blade with her claws once again.
From there on, Trisha became relentless.
Swings and precise slashes came one after another, forcing Silver onto the defensive.
Trisha remained calm, precise, and elegant with every movement of her sword.
She didn’t care whether she got injured.
All her attention was focused on taking the damned Abberant down, no matter what.
A descending strike came toward Silver’s neck.
The Abberant barely avoided it.
Then an arrow whistled through the air and smashed into her back.
Surprisingly, it carried the force of a train.
The impact sent Silver staggering forward—
Straight toward Trisha.
Her sword was already moving.
The blade caught several scales.
Without hesitation, Trisha dragged the weapon across Silver’s body, tearing the scales away.
Silver’s face twitched.
Her legs were about to blur into motion.
CLAP!
Trisha vanished from view.
In her place stood Felix.
His previously crushed arms had fully regenerated as though nothing had ever happened to them.
Silver’s fist had been rocketing toward Trisha a moment ago.
Now, it was intercepted by Felix’s.
BAM!
A thunderous bang rolled across the battlefield as the ground beneath the two cracked violently.
A hint of surprise flashed across Silver’s face as she stared at the grin on Felix’s face.
"Shocked?"
Felix gritted his teeth.
With all his strength, he pushed Silver’s fist to the side before sending his own fist shooting forward like a bullet.
Within a second—
BAM!
His fist hammered into Silver’s abdomen with the force of a battering ram.
Her heels slid a few inches backward.
She wanted to take a step forward when the earth suddenly surged to life, wrapping itself around her heels in an attempt to pin her in place.
"I said attack, goddamn it! Don’t you want to be accepted into the Kyre family? Weren’t you promised by Jack Kyre himself? COME ON, BASTARDS!" Lincoln roared with all his might as he lunged forward.
The earth twisted and shot into his grasp, forming a massive hammer around his hands.
Without slowing down, he hurled the hammer forward.
Silver crossed her hands in front of her face as the hammer struck with bone-rattling force.
BOOM!
The earth hammer exploded into a rain of stone.
Silver lifted one foot, effortlessly shattering the bindings around her heels.
Like a blur, her leg cut through the air toward Lincoln.
A second before impact, a metal shield formed in front of the Sergeant.
CLANG!
A deafening bang, like a massive gong being struck, echoed across the battlefield.
Unfortunately, the shield didn’t hold.
But it lasted long enough for Lincoln to leap backward and land a few metres away.
Then—
One by one, the Aspirants began darting forward.
Gas oozed into the air as the Aspirants rushed into action without hesitation.
"SHOW HUMANITY’S MI—"
"Weaklings are not needed," Silver callously uttered before she flickered out of view.
In a jiffy, she appeared directly in front of an Aspirant.
[Viewer 22: My son!]
Her claws reached out for the boy.
The Aspirant’s eyes stretched wide in horror as he watched the claws of doom rapidly approaching him.
CLANG!
A katana immediately intercepted the claws.
Trisha’s bones trembled beneath her flesh from the sheer force of holding back the attack.
Before she could parry away, somebody blurred forward with a speed almost akin to teleportation.
A pair of short swords were firmly held in his hands as he vaulted into the air, thrusting them toward Silver’s eyes.
"My dad will take care of your partner over there, and we’ll take care of you here," Caster snarled as his swords came within inches of Silver’s eyes.
Her second fist shot forward, ready to burrow into his face—
Only for reddish strings to suddenly materialize and wrap around her hand.
For a few seconds, her arm was restrained.
That was enough for Caster’s swords to reach their target.
Alas!
The Abberant was swift enough to close her eyes, causing the swords to slide harmlessly off her silver scales.
"Orrrrr... you got tricked."
A rasped voice slithered through the air.
BANG!
An energy beam from Van shot forward.
It sped toward the Abberant and, within moments, collided with her knee.
CRACK!
The scales covering her knee shattered from the impact, causing her leg to buckle and forcing her to crash onto her other knee.
TWIP!
"MOVE AWAY!" Chloe shouted.
An arrow whistled through the air.
Soon—
Beep! Beep! BOOOM—!
It detonated in a terrifying explosion.
