Chapter 452

Rising to his full height was Ray, who had partially transformed his hands.

Lightning crackled across his hands, hiding his fur and claws from view.

The electricity danced wildly around his fingers, occasionally snapping against the surrounding air.

The drones were still panning around the place.

"Fuck that damned Abberant. Two of my drones just got destroyed. Does she know how much they cost?" Johnny almost felt like crying as he glared into his camera.

His expression was one of genuine frustration.

In the middle of a battlefield where buildings were being destroyed and people were fighting for their lives, somehow the loss of his expensive drones was still bothering him.

Bonny didn’t say a thing as she watched the kid having his ability running up and down his hands while his back straightened.

The boy’s posture had completely changed.

There was something different about him now.

Something more predatory.

The drones couldn’t get close. Otherwise, if they did, they would have all seen the canine shooting out of his mouth.

Silver slammed her tail into the ground and stopped her body from moving too far as she fully regained her posture.

The metallic appendage dug into the earth like an anchor, preventing her from sliding any farther.

The others who weren’t caught in her electrical attack could be seen peeking out while drawing ragged breaths as they stared at her.

Some were still crouched behind debris.

Others were hiding behind half-destroyed buildings.

Nobody dared to underestimate the Abberant anymore.

Ray stood protectively in front of a crouching Van and Kai.

His body remained between them and Silver.

His yellow eyes never left the Five-Spined Abberant.

"Strike two." The Tribrid snickered towards the Abberant, who was casually combing her hair with her claws.

Silver continued dragging her claws through her silver hair as if the battlefield around her was nothing more than an insignificant inconvenience.

"... You dared try to attack Van again?"

"...."

Silver slowly stopped combing her hair.

She looked at the boy in front of her.

"What’s the point? I will kill everybody here in due time, including you and your friend. So don’t get too worked up," Silver replied with a little smirk on her face.

"...."

Ray didn’t respond immediately.

Instead—

He shifted one leg behind him.

His body lowered slightly.

His yellow eyes began to crackle with lightning.

The sparks crawling through his pupils became brighter with every passing second.

"Do you know? I just wanted to kill you for battering my best friend bloody," Ray began, lightning arcing around his legs and covering the fur on his thighs.

The fur beneath the lightning could barely be seen.

His muscles tightened.

His calves bulged incredibly as he stared icily at Silver, who stopped combing her hair and instead looked in his direction.

Ray’s fingers curled into a fist.

His entire body seemed to coil like a spring.

"... But now, not only will I kill you, I will also convert your body into one of my minions and use you to kill all Abberants."

The battlefield seemed to fall silent for a brief moment.

Even Silver’s expression shifted slightly.

BANG!

The earth shattered under his feet as he lunged forward with blazing momentum.

Lightning erupted behind him.

Dust exploded outward from the force of his acceleration.

Within a flash, he materialized before the Abberant.

His fist rocketing towards her face.

"I swear it."

Silver stared at the fist with a smirk.

She swung her own fist to meet the punch when—

CLAP!

Ray disappeared.

Silver’s fist smashed through empty air.

Instead, Felix appeared directly above her with a roundhouse kick that smashed into her neck, sending the Abberant sliding an inch to the side.

The force of the impact caused her silver hair to whip violently through the air.

CLAP!

Ray appeared again with a crouch as Silver turned her gaze upward to attack Felix.

BAM!

Ray’s fist hammered into her abdomen with the force of a freight train.

BOOOOM!

The earth cracked open and burst apart from the force of the lightning-infused punch.

Chunks of earth were blasted outward.

Silver’s eyes widened.

The punch wasn’t like anything Ray had thrown at her before at all.

The sheer force behind it caught her completely off guard.

Her feet were almost lifted off the ground and hurled into the distance.

But thanks to her tail, she remained anchored to the earth.

The tip of her tail dug deeper into the ground as she resisted the force.

One leg lifted up, swinging downward to meet the boy and send him crashing through the ground.

BANG!

Ray darted backward, dodging the axe kick by the skin of his teeth.

The Abberant’s heel tore through the ground, causing a five-metre-wide crevice to yawn open.

Dust erupted from the impact point.

Silver slowly lifted her gaze towards him.

"How are you suddenly so strong and fast?"

Ray didn’t give a reply.

Instead, he turned his gaze to his status screen for half a second.

What the Abberant didn’t know was that in his partial transformation, Ray got a +20 stat boost to all his stats.

So he was definitely stronger, faster, and more durable than he had ever been.

The difference was immediately obvious.

His movements were sharper.

His acceleration was faster.

Even his body felt lighter despite the tremendous increase in physical strength.

And Silver had noticed it.

For the first time since their battle began, she wasn’t simply looking at Ray like an entertaining opponent.

She was studying him.

As the dust settled down slowly, a katana blade flashed through the dust, streaking towards the Abberant’s neck.

As if she had been anticipating it already, Silver calmly leaned her head backward, watching as the blade flashed past her.

Only for an earth boulder to be sent hurtling down at her.

With a calm twirl, she sidestepped the boulder, which ploughed into the earth and shattered it massively.

Chunks of dirt and stone exploded outward from the impact, but Silver didn’t even spare the crater a glance.

Her gaze flickered in the direction of Lincoln.

But she didn’t have the chance to attack, as metal spikes, earth spikes, and wind slashes from the other Aspirants hurtled towards her.

This forced Silver to blur forward in order to meet them head-on.

Swinging her claws through the air, she batted, shattered, and swatted each of the attacks away from her as if they were nothing more than a disturbance.

CLANG!

An earth spike shattered against her claws.

SHING!

A wind slash was knocked off course.

BANG!

A metal spike was sent flying into the distance.

None of the attacks were capable of slowing her down.

Pfffff!

Bursting through the storm of attacks was Lincoln, whose earth mace hurtled towards Silver’s face.

A second away from impact, the Abberant swiftly bent down—watching as the attack flashed past her head.

Her fist shot upward to smash the man out of the air.

But in the nick of time, a golden lasso wrapped around the Sergeant’s waist, sending his body blasting backward just in time as Silver’s fist smashed through empty air.

Whoooosh!

Two arrows were fired out.

Silver swiftly seized them out of the air.

BOOM! BOOM!

They detonated in her hand, sending her skidding backward with smoke clouding her vision.

For the first time, the continuous attacks had managed to force her away.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

That was all Silver heard all around her as Felix’s palms struck each other, making her fear for who was going to come through the smoke.

The sound echoed around her.

Left.

Right.

Behind.

Every clap made it difficult to determine where the werewolf would appear next.

She was about dispelling the smoke when another clap was heard.

Felix burst through the smoke with his hands fully transformed into deadly claws that cleaved through the air towards her.

Silver’s eyes narrowed.

She raised an arm.

Catching the claws all too easily, she tilted her head in his direction.

"I want to see how you clap without your damn hands."

With a brutal yank, Felix’s eyes widened in pain as his full arm was torn from his shoulder with little to no resistance at all.

Blood sprayed across the smoke-filled air.

Felix’s body jerked violently from the sudden loss of his limb.

Clap!

’Huh?’

Silver was confused by the sound she had just heard.

Her eyes flickered toward Felix.

He was still standing.

But how?

She didn’t have the time to be too stunned as Ray was now directly in front of her, with the air seeming as if it bent around his hands.

The boy didn’t bother to send a single fist.

His two fists passed through the air like battering rams towards her.

The pressure alone caused Silver’s silver hair to whip backward.

Snapping the arm she had ripped from Felix’s shoulder into place, the arm absorbed the impact from the punch.

And right in front of her eyes—

BOOOOM!

The arm exploded into a rain of blood and flesh.

Silver’s eyes widened slightly.

The force behind the attack was enough to completely obliterate the limb she had just ripped off.

Ray vanished from sight and reappeared directly above her, with his leg shooting around in a powerful roundhouse kick.

Silver didn’t move an inch as the kick rapidly spun towards her neck.

Yet her attention wasn’t even on Ray.

She glared into the distance to see Felix panting with a single arm.

One hand raised towards his chest.

And a grin on his face.

’Oh!’

Clap!

The palm struck his chest loudly.

Ray flickered out of sight.

And instead—

Felix’s leg was rocketing towards her neck.

Silver’s eyes snapped toward the incoming attack.

Spinning around with such force that she generated friction beneath her legs, Silver’s fist blurred forward.

To the werewolf’s horror, the punch was just too fast to stop.

BAM! BOOM!

The fist hammered into Felix’s face.

Blood poured out of the werewolf’s mouth, all without any resistance.

The air was knocked clean from his throat while his body shot backward like a bullet.

BOOOOM!

He smashed through a wall as if it were made out of paper.

The entire structure trembled from the impact.

Dust and debris rained down around him.

[Goon lord: Fuck. He’s not surviving that!]
