Not until the final wave of Dark Star Sand drifted past did Wen Qingye finally let out a small sigh of relief. He then channeled Primordial Qi to the wounds covering his body. Wherever it passed, the gashes began to close at a rapid pace.

By now, Wen Qingye was drenched in sweat, his robes soaked through. His body was covered in a dense web of wounds, each one radiating a bone-deep agony.

Wen Qingye gritted his teeth and signaled to the Ice Python.

The wind howled as the Ice Python charged forward, its speed not decreasing in the slightest.

「Three days passed.」 In that time, Wen Qingye’s injuries had improved slightly. He had repaired another seven meridians, bringing the total to sixteen. However, he would still need at least a month to recover completely.

During this time, they encountered some Demon Beasts—some at the Refining Spirit Realm, others at the Yin-Yang Realm, and even a few at the Peak of Destruction Realm. But without exception, they were all swallowed alive by the Ice Python.

The Ice Python abruptly halted its advance, its body coiling rapidly. Wen Qingye stood up and looked ahead.

Ahead, countless black shadows were visible. A closer look revealed them to be individual vines, densely covering the entire mountainside and creating an extremely oppressive atmosphere. It was the sight of these black vines that had made the Ice Python stop.

"What is this stuff?" the Ice Python asked with a frown. "Why do I get a dangerous feeling from it? And there are even faint traces of poisonous gas."

Wen Qingye gazed at the Poison-Locking Vines ahead, which cascaded down like a black waterfall, and smiled faintly. "These are a strange species, Poison-Locking Vines. They’re incredibly formidable. Even an ordinary Life and Death Realm expert would be severely injured if targeted by so many of them at once."

The Ice Python looked at the composed, still-unflustered Wen Qingye and couldn’t help but ask, "So what do we do?"

Wen Qingye looked at the Poison-Locking Vines ahead and sneered. "Poison-Locking Vines are afraid of fire. My internal flame, nourished by my cultivation breakthrough, can now be considered a Third Grade Spiritual Fire. That’s more than enough. Once I use it, these vines will be incinerated."

"I see," the Ice Python said, a look of realization dawning on its face.

The Ice Python continued to charge forward. Wen Qingye infused his palm with Primordial Qi, and a streak of red energy shot out from his hand.

WHOOSH!

A raging red flame instantly erupted and rushed toward the Poison-Locking Vines. Before Wen Qingye’s Third Grade Spiritual Fire had even reached them, the vines sensed the scorching temperature and their tendrils began to frantically retract.

A brilliant light flared from Wen Qingye’s arm. With a WHOOSH, the flames spread out even further. The pure, scorching fire carried an aura that could incinerate the world as it howled forward.

CRACKLE! CRACKLE! CRACKLE!

Vast swaths of the Poison-Locking Vines were too slow to retract and were scorched by Wen Qingye’s Spiritual Fire. Like a single spark starting a prairie fire, the flames instantly engulfed the surrounding vines.

Sweat began to bead on Wen Qingye’s forehead. Seeing that the Poison-Locking Vines were all ablaze, he abruptly withdrew his Primordial Qi and stood tall, watching the scene before him.

The endless fire began to spread like a stampeding beast, roaring and bellowing. The sheer force of it felt like it could be perceived from hundreds of miles away.

WHOOSH!

Suddenly, a fiery red figure shot out from within the flames. It moved with astonishing speed, rushing toward Wen Qingye and the Ice Python. Wen Qingye could only perceive a blur, unable to see it clearly.

The Ice Python threw its mouth wide open. Primordial Qi gathered in its throat as an azure light appeared and began to shine. It then spat a massive, icy breath at the fiery figure.

"SCREEE—!"

The fiery figure let out a piercing shriek, its true form revealed. Most of its fur had been burned away, but a hint of cyan could still be seen. It was a Destruction Realm Fifth Layer Heaven Demon Beast, a Cyan Wind Tiger. At this moment, after being baptized by both fire and ice, white smoke was rising from its entire body.

The Cyan Wind Tiger tried to retreat frantically, but it was too late. The Ice Python transformed into a blue whirlwind and shot toward it.

The Ice Python opened its great maw. Its enormous mouth, looking as if it could perform Devouring Heaven and Earth, swallowed the massive Cyan Wind Tiger in a single gulp.

The Ice Python then began to coil up again, slowly digesting its meal, while Wen Qingye stood watching the ferociously powerful flames ahead.

After an unknown amount of time, the Poison-Locking Vines seemed to have mostly burned away. The Ice Python had long since recovered, and its body began to glide forward.

The stones on the ground and the cliffs on either side had been burned black. The Poison-Locking Vines had been burned to ash—no, not even ash remained.

The Ice Python was filled with wonder as it looked at the still-calm and composed Wen Qingye. ’To think that something I feared so much was annihilated with a wave of his hand.’

"There seems to be something over there," Wen Qingye suddenly said, looking at the base of a wall to one side. Under the gaze of his Spirit Communication Eye, he could see a light of ultimate brilliance. The Spiritual Qi was unusually dense. ’That place must hide a great treasure.’

Hearing Wen Qingye’s words, the Ice Python slithered forward. Even with its body enveloped in Primordial Qi, it could still feel the scorching heat rising from the stones.

Wen Qingye leaped directly off the Ice Python’s back, his eyes fixed on the spot ahead.

There, amidst the blackened stones and crevices, was a starlit object, twinkling incessantly.

A Sumeru Mustard Seed!

’Another Sumeru Mustard Seed! The one I’m using now came from the Hundred Break Mountains.’

There was a layer of Restriction on the surface of the Sumeru Mustard Seed, but naturally, it couldn’t stop Wen Qingye.

The moment he opened the Sumeru Mustard Seed and looked inside, Wen Qingye was stunned.

’Whose Sumeru Mustard Seed was this? It has so many Primordial Stones, materials, Magical Artifacts, and Martial Arts! This is practically the accumulated resources of a sizable Sect.’

The space inside the Sumeru Mustard Seed was enormous, and it was filled with a massive amount of Primordial Stones and materials.

The Ice Python guessed, "It must have belonged to some expert who met a tragic end here. Because of the obstruction and concealment from the Poison-Locking Vines, not many people would have seen this Sumeru Mustard Seed."

Wen Qingye nodded and smiled. "This is a pleasant surprise. The resources accumulated here are enough for a small Sect to rise."

After a careful inventory, he found that they were all Top-grade Primordial Stones, a full 30,000 of them. The value of these stones alone could be exchanged for three Low-level Spiritual Martial Arts. The Sumeru Mustard Seed also contained one such martial art, along with countless Heavenly and Earthly Treasures.

There were also Magical Artifacts. There were only three, but all were Emperor-grade High-level: a feathered fan, a bow and arrow set, and a Long Spear.

There were only a few pills, and they were all of a relatively low grade, so Wen Qingye paid them no mind.

There were two Low-Level Spiritual Ores and over thirty pieces of Emperor-grade High-level ore, with the rest being too numerous to count. The Spirit-Grade Herbs were perfectly preserved thanks to being stored in Yangchun Wood. Among them were two Low-Level Spirit-Grade herbs, the Shallow Rain Fruit and North Wind Silk, and even one Middle-Level Spirit-Grade herb, the Drawing Leaf. All of these were excellent medicinal materials.

There were also several dozen stalks of Emperor-Grade Herbs. As for the herbs of lower grades, they had not been preserved properly; their essence had completely dissipated, rendering them useless.
