Naruto: The Burning Spiral

Kazuki and Itachi are standing some distance away from each other in their fighting stance.

Fugaku raises his hand. "Start."

Kazuki immediately took out his sword and rushed at Itachi with his Sharingan activated.

Itachi blocks the hit with his own shortsword effortlessly and attacks with a kunai in his offhand. Kazuki blocks it with a kunai of his own, they continue exchanging blows for a while, both looking equal in every aspect.

Kazuki thinks, 'This isn't good, if we are equal in strength then that means he's holding back so that I can keep up with him while I'm using my full strength. Well, if I can't beat him in close combat then....."

Kazuki dodged Itachi's sword and fell back.

He said without looking into Itachi's eyes, "Hey, Itachi, show me your strongest jutsu and I'll do the same."

"Are you certain you want to see my strongest Jutsu?" Itachi asked him.

"Yes, I'm absolutely certain, just don't kill me, okay?" Kazuki said with a smirk.

Itachi smiled a little and waited for Kazuki to use a jutsu.

Kazuki started making rapid hand signs.

"Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld"

A swamp formed below Itachi and started swallowing him.

"Water Release: Aqua Bull"

A bull made from highly pressurized water formed beside Kazuki and ran towards Itachi with very high speed.

The bull reached Itachi within a second but he was already freed from the swamp and easily dodged the attack.

'How did he...' 

The bull crashed against a wall and caused a loud noise.

Itachi said, "A strong attack is useless if it misses the target."

Itachi proceeds to make some hard signs.

"Wind Release: Air bullets."

Itachi shot some bullets of air at Kazuki with blinding speed

Kazuki tried to block them with his sword, but they were so fast that he couldn't see them clearly even with his sharingan activated. He got hit by some of them and was sent back a little, falling to his knees.

Kazuki stood up with the support of his sword and held it with both of his hands. He coated it in fire chakra flow and sent a large fire slash at Itachi.

Itachi used his own fire chakra coated sword to block the slash, but the moment the sword came in contact with the slash, his sword melted and broke. Itachi's eyes went wide, he dodged the slash at the last second.

Kazuki took advantage of the distraction and used the Body Flicker technique to appear behind Itachi, putting his sword on his neck.

Fugaku raised his hand and declared, "Kazuki is the winner."

Kazuki lowered his sword and put it back in its sheathe.

Itachi turned around and said, "I underestimated you. I saw in the chunin exams that your slashes weren't that powerful and assumed I could stop them."

Itachi then noticed Kazuki's heavy breathing and that his chakra is very low.

Kazuki said, "Yeah, this slash takes more than half of my chakra, which is inconvenient. I tried to reduce the chakra consumption, but it also reduced the power significantly."

Itachi replied, "That's probably because the attack was so wild and uncontrolled. You don't need a big powerful slash, you just need to compress all the power into a smaller slash."

Kazuki thought for a second and said, "You're right. I just reduced its scale but didn't try to compress more chakra into it."

Itachi also told him, "The slash was wasting too much chakra by radiating unnecessary heat, so you also need to control that."

Then Fugaku came near them and told them, "You two can talk later, I have some important work to do after this."

Kazuki nodded.

Fugaku looked at him and said, "You are a capable shinobi, Kazuki. I invite you to the clan meeting held at the Naka Shrine in two weeks from now."

"I understand," Kazuki replied.

They all walked upstairs, before leaving, Itachi looked at Kazuki and said, "I let my guard down, this won't happen last time."

Kazuki nodded and said, "We'll see."

Kazuki then left for his home.

While walking through the compound, he decided to train after a quick meal, he was hungry after using so much chakra.

When he reached home, he saw that Yuki was standing in front of his apartment.

She waved her hand towards him when she saw him approaching.
